I love Amazon. I buy almost everything on there. Couple of clicks and I'm done - huge range of products, fast check out and next day delivery... what could I possibly criticize?

Packaging... there's tons of it. I shop a lot and every item comes in huge boxes with tons of extra packing. I know it needs to arrive in one piece but is a whole tree of paper really necessary?

All seem to be good with Amazon after i made a change on the delivery options, as i was tired to disturb neighbors about my thinks get send there without my approval.
So far the average of purchases, offers and customer service are quite OK.
Leave my review. Is 10 better than Ebay.

Disgusted with Amazon. I ordered several items eligible for Prime next day delivery on Saturday. Someone was in all day until 9:30 PM and no delivery was made, when we called at 8:30 PM we were treated rudely by Amazon staff, and received an email after midnight saying that due to technical delivery is the delivery had not been made. After several calls with them on Monday, they said that there was nothing they could do and that even though they were using Amazon logistics to do the delivery they had no control over their carrier. After some time I managed to get them to confirm that they would expedite the delivery and I received an email confirming that the delivery would be made yesterday. Again we make sure someone was in most of the day I know delivery was made. I sent an email asking for an update and simply got a response saying Sorry that they had communicated with the delivery company. Again the delivery has not been made and no one has provided us with any good reason why not, nor given us a proper apology or any sensible compensation.

As a lawyer, and the person with a bit of common sense, I can see that Amazon Have set them selves up so that they make promises which they often do not fulfill, they have a customer service on the other side of the world two out of the four people I spoke to could barely speak English who have less authority and room to move than a chatbot, they are for little or no compensation for their breach of contract and they are confident that given the difficulties of going via small claims route, most people will not pursue damages. Additionally, If they are for filling the order on behalf of themselves or a third party, there is no way to rate Amazon's poor service - you can only rate marketplace sellers. I really think my days of using Amazon and numbered.

Hi all,
If you are trying to by anything online from amazon.co.uk make sure most of the stuff are from china and imagine you will have an issue with the item you bought as I had already is very difficulty to contact the seller or to make them understandable your issue what you are facing! All offices are in china and are using a depots on U. K And sell in amazon! Ok if you said I'm going back to amazon you are taking a wrong step as amazon's customerservices are very well trained to be nicely and politely but you will end up no where with waste of time and money, as what happened to us.

Discrimination

I was a seller for few months. Not a single complaint from a client etc. Everyone was happy. Then suddenly account gets blocked without explanation. First I thought it's a technical error.

I called up the customer rep and was told that someone will call be back within 2 days. No one ever called.

I repeated the above about 5 times. No one ever got back to me.

I thought that my account got hacked and sent a letter directly to Amazon UK. Just like with the phone calls, they didn't bother to respond. It became obvious that the company has something to hide.

I have a reason to believe that I was a victim of discrimination and they don't want to admit that so I can't sue them.

I spoke to a lawyer about the whole thing and I requested copy of my documents via letter. They refused to provide me with information whom should I address in that letter (so called data controller) which is already an offence in the EU. I got it somehow and sent a letter but just like before they ignored it (offence number two: they're legally obliged to respond within 40 days)

I had to use legal letter to get ANY response. Their response was that they wouldn't give me anything until I verify my ID. So I did. Now they request a copy of my lease: D

I believe I'm on something here. A company that doesn't have anything to hide doesn't act like that so I will continue my journey.

Also as a way of saying thank you for their cooperation I will be creating a special website and facebook page which guides people on how to get their information from them step by step, for free.

Love it

Cured me of my eBay addiction. If there's s problem, it's soon sorted and email answers are prompt and done by human beings - unlike eBay. Goods on Amazon are often duplicated on eBay, but far more expensive. Love Amazon prime - next and same day delivery when you've forgotten those birthdays! And sellers rarely use Hermes couriers which is a big plus.

I like the company and service and use it for 5+ years.

1) it is amazing that "FREE UK delivery" covers Ireland!
Notes:
1.1) 25 or more pounds should be in basket
1.2) not everything delivered to ROI
2) amazing service
2.1) Once did not get backpack for few weeks - they sent me 2nd for free! Short time after - got both. Returned one.
2.2) Had pampers subscription. Cancelled it. They said I won't receive it but received them (large box with a lot of boxes). Said to them about it. They said that I can have it for free and should not return it back!
3) Usually fast delivery (few exceptions).

Only downside:
Had to have amazon prime to have pampers subscriptions but NP to create another account and have 30 days of prime for free, so put 5 stars anyway!

I ordered a £362 Sony Xperia X mobile phone direct from Amazon (not a seller), paid for by my daughter who had saved several birthday and Christmas gifts. Delivery was to a locker - so no opportunity to check or sign for the item. When I opened the locker, and checked the package I found the phone was missing - box, charger, etc... was all there, but the phone was not. Immediately raised this with Amazon and they refuse to refund and insist I received the item. They initially claimed I had signed for it, but when I pointed out I hadn't they still insisted I received the item. They now refuse to discuss this with me and have advised me to call citizens advice or the police. To give the devil his due, Amazon did once previously refund me in a similar situation (there is clearly a thief somewhere in the delivery chain to me), but this time they have decided my daughter must pay for their thief. As purchases from Amazon come under Luxembourg law (yes, amazon.co.uk is based in Luxembourg) and I paid using credit on a gift card, my legal rights can only be enforced through courts in Luxembourg. This is going to be a long haul. Regrettably I cannot recommend this retailer.

We are a group (jekracingdrones) that builds and races quadcopter racing drones in Sussex, England therefore we do purchase quite a bit of components and parts online from several retailers including Amazon.

After nearly 3 years, our club have published a list ranking of suppliers which we recommend and a black list of suppliers that we recommend our members and community to avoid, which includes ebay and Banggood amongst a few others.

Amazon ultimately retains the top place in our recommended list purely for its range of products and competitive pricing even though ebay keeps Amazon guessing all the time! However, when ever we have any problems with any purchase and/or products, Amazon customer service are quick, efficient and really cares to solve our issues and concerns. When a maplin soldering unit failed twice and even Maplin was giving us hassle in getting a replacement, because we bought it from Maplin online via Amazon, Amazon took over the case and got our refund the same day!

The only criticism we have with Amazon is how it tries to cloak delivery charges in its payment process where a guessing game takes place AND it's constant annoying ploy to push Amazon prime!

We always only consider items with FREE delivery, NOT eligible for free delivery OR free delivery for orders over £20 etc etc etc

Why not make buying simple and straight forward and Im sure we will enjoy using the site more, rather then all these infantile hurdles for us to surmount. Many purchases which may cost a bit cheaper elsewhere usually ebay, but we will still buy from Amazon, simply for the peace of mind, therefore Amazon would do itself a big favour if it promotes delivery included pricing which would certainly be welcomed by us buyers and boost their sales at the same time.

: I love the ease of using the Angry Mama microwave cleaner and the fact that it allows you to clean without using any chemicals (which I feel is important as I do use my microwave quite often with my Tupperware Smart Steamer). The item was also a lot larger than I expected. Just remove the hair with a twist and add vinegar to lower fill line then water to upper fill line water (I did add a touch of lemon but it didn't make that much difference - next time I will add a bit more I think). Still, a nice little gadget to have as it does do the job and it's funny to look at.

Amazon - What can I say - I love them. I must be one of their best customers, a week does not go by without an order from me.

I have ordered everything from cooking ingredients to a garden incinerator. You name it and they have got it. Quick and easy to use and the Customer Service is great - always helpful, never a problem.

Use them - who else!

I've used Amazon for many years now, and I'm very pleased with the service I've received over the years from them.

Of course I have had issues with some deliveries in the past, but not necessarily Amazon but a seller through them. Amazon were quick to rectify the problems I had, service wise I've ordered many products through Amazon, some on release day and have had them on the day of release.

Amazon's customer service in my opinion is one of the best around, and you can request a ring back so it doesn't cost you a penny to talk to them on the phone.

Brilliant and one of the best safest shopping websites around!
