Ordered some items from their online store. Fedex lost the package & AKC made it utterlly impossible to get a hold of them. So I never received the stuff I paid for.
After being scammed out of a lot of money from a Breeder named Summer Berlinger who never produced a puppy, I contacted the AKC to let them know that she refused to refund my money even after the contract became null and void. They seemed totally uninterested, and told me to beware and do my investigating before giving money to a breeder, but she is one of their customer/breeders! Even the police said they really couldn't go after her since a contract was involved. Thousands of people get puppy scammed each year, and this breeder in Las Vegas should be shut down. I'm not sure there ever was a puppy when she took my money. She's crafty and evil, and the AKC should do more.
Sent my dogs registration info in September 2021. They needed some info from the breeder. No problem. Sent it off. It's now December. I have no papers. They did, however, send me an email wanting me to buy their products, and listed my dogs registration name wrong and refuse to change it. Funny, they had no problem cashing my check the moment they received it 3 months ago. I'll stick with showing my dogs in other venues from now on.
AKC doesn't guarantee or check the dog breeders, you might get scammed if you don't ask the right questions about the breeder. I got scammed by one of their listings and they did nothing to stop it. I wish they have reviews for their breeders. Being an AKC member doesn't mean anything. Make sure you ask the breeders to show the health record of the puppy and parents before the deposit and you shouldn't be paying cash or Zelle.
I ordered pet candles from their store in August, now November and after 5 contact attempts still no candles or refund. I was on hold for over 45 minutes on the phone and gave up, so sent yet another email. Very unprofessional and am out over $80 :(
They basically stole my full registration from me that i purchased with my dog and want to subject me to limited registration because theyre jealous and dont really want to. See me with the dog i have
AKC is about the money. Worst customer service there ever was when you can get a rep at all. Then they try to tell you to cancel online order and do a mail in. I understand how CKC and other registeries have got their business.
I have been trying to register my puppy through the AKC and their customer service has been terrible! I have tried to call in regards to their application and they have been extremely unhelpful. Also, I sent an email explaining my PIN doesn't work and they reply by telling me where my PIN is located! I am very disappointed in their customer service!
A group of AKC members wanted to create their own special clique in the AKC and conceived the idea of breeding large dogs with slimmer more "elegant" hips, the creating Hip Dysplasia. I found this on the Internet some years ago when the Internet was young. You have been breeding deformed dogs for a long number of decades now. So my review of the AKC is that you are selfish toads in a small slimy pond who don't care about dogs but only what blue ribbons and CH designation can do for your egos. And lets not forget about greed.
I am now watching my third dog suffer from Hip Dysplasia (thank you AKC) and I wish that every single one of you would burn in hell forever (I guess I should exempt that one person willing to tell the truth on the Internet). The lack of Christian charity especially at Christmas I am feeling is my own failing. But the suffering of MILLIONS of dogs is ALL ON YOU.
I was told when I purchased my akc certified dog that I received 30 days of insurance and a free wellness checkup for my dog. I called them to find out where I should take him and than did so. $149 later and zero reimbursement I feel extremely cheated. Not to mention I paid akc for some sort of crap. Take your dog where you want. ( If he/she even needs it). Basically they told us he was healthy. Which we already knew.
Wow. Just the act of registering my puppy shows me all I need to know. The website is one big money grab. No ethics here. I trusted the AKC as reputable, and am only now realising that it is no guarantee - it appears my $4000 puppy, purchased from a "reputable" breeder, comes from a glorified puppy mill.
Besten Boxers sells sick dogs do not buy a puppy from this man it's costed me $2500 in the first year since I've had this dog from day one he's been sick he offered to pay no medical bills-Horrible businessman, My puppy has a heart murmur and a liver condition, claims he health tests
They attempt to pilfer every dime they can from you. My dog was over 2 years old and they sent a letter stating the sire's DNA didn't match my dog. They wanted me to pay $50 for a DNA test to confirm my registration.
Orestes Rios took my deposit and was dishonest about when he was breeding his dogs and when I would receive my puppy. I was told it would be at the end of January they would be born but now they aren't even breeding her until the end of this month. When I found this out I asked for a refund so I could find a puppy sooner, he was very rude and said he would refund me when he got another deposit. I called AKC to complain and they informed me they can not do anything about the way he handles business. I find this quite ridiculous. Will not be searching on here any longer. Save your money and find a breeder yourself.
They let fraudulent breeders register puppies that they can't confirm. Daniel Robinson New Russia ny... now I can never register my beloved Duke! What a scam
Buyer beware!
When there are not many registration data bases that have their type of selection. They go way back but garbage in, garbage out!
Thank you for shedding a little light on the AKC. They slander, defame breeders who question them and have illegal practices which go untouched
I love this site and the AKC in general they are amazing. You can find breeders, products, research breeds, etc.
I bought a Great Dane that cost me 4 grand from a pet store, the AKC promised me all these cool items and at the end of the call it cost me 400 bucks to proceed, the sales lady was really good and got me for 130 bucks for a frame and a certificate. Well the frame came in the mail today and is way larger than the certificate, so I called the AKC and apparently I was talking to a 3rd party vendor not associated with the AKC. HERE IS YHE DEAL FOLKS, I got a pedigree certificate, a dog tag and collar from PET KEY for 30 bucks and on top of that I can log in to their website and update shots etc, if anyone connected to this website has a dog go missing you receive an email with all that pets information and microchip info. The AKC is overated big time waist of money. PET KEY is where its at, if anyone can tell me what 2 large certificates I am suppose to put in this fram that would be great.
Answer: Don't ask AKC about honest breeders. I train dogs for service and I've been repeatedly bought purebreds from an AKC breeder who puts out genetically defective pups that die early and horribly. AKC DOES NOT CARE!
Answer: Scam-https://petscams.com/puppy-scammer-list/demainpoodles-com/
Answer: I believe this place is a scam. They answer emails right away until you ask for an AKC Registration number for the pup. Also they request payment via walmart or western union so you can't do a chargeback if they are fraud.
