We were given our AED as a Christmas present in 2007 from our son who was a paramedic at the time and is now doing a residency after becoming an MD. We take it whenever we travel long distances in our car. Fortunately we have never had to use it, but I convinced my employer to purchase one for the workplace. My purchase was for replacement pads due to the length of time we have had the device.
