In September 2019 a google AdWords representative emailed and called me to "update" my settings, but he didn't tell me the changes would increase my monthly outlay 6 times. Previously I spent about $30/mo, which shot up to $180 over the month.

I set a maximum amount to be charged on a monthly basis for our business, this was a brand new start up company and until we got the ball rolling I wanted full control of the expenses. Google Ad's specialist made it sound fool proof, easy as 123. No so much, they totally disregarded my request and charged me 10 times over my limit,. You get nothing in writing from them, so when you file a dispute, first question is, where is your proof that you set a limit. Beware, Google knows exactly what they are doing, stealing is what they call it where I come from. Can't wait for our Government to wake up and destroy google, they have turned into money hungry disregard for all else.
I have several ads or what you might call ad word Express under my business AdWords account it's funny whenever I turn these on and give them a budget to spend within two days our business phone starts ringing of things not even related to our business or services that we provide and the customers aren't even located in our state when I ask them where they're from and how they found our number. As soon as I moved the ads to inactivate the call stop coincidental I don't think so. This is going to be another conglomerate of a company that we all will get to participate in for an extremely large class action lawsuit in the future meanwhile Google just keeps stealing money from innocent people and business owners. And better yet when you really ask more questions to the supposed customers calling your number they seem to get nervous and hang up. However meanwhile if you want to keep giving money to these thieves and wait on your class settlement lawsuit check in the future that'll probably be for $20 go ahead and waste your money.
I have to pay $5 a click just to get a search for my company by name to show up. As a small business owner, Google is horrible.
So I was thinking about going ahead with Google ads after I enlisted my business on google my business. I made my profile and then started receiving communications at my day job email address which was NOT associated with my business I wanted google ads for. I had to explain to my boss that I didn't know why I was receiving google ads emails on my work email address. It got me in hot water at work. After 2 hours on the phone with 5 different people being shuffled from one bad english speaking rep to another, after 2 hours on the phone I was directed right back to the first department I started the talks about, 2 hours prior. Google has grown too big to be managed properly. They have no idea what they are doing as all their support are out of India from what I could tell and I could tell that none of the people I spoke with were either trained to assist or had any notion of assisting. It was the worst 'pass the buck' experience I've had in years. For that reason, I decided NOT to give Google my money and decided NOT to advertise with them. If they can't even handle a simple customer service/tech support issue, how can trust them to handle your advertising? Really, really, really bad service.
I've been a google advertiser for over 18 years and always had a great experiences until the past 2 weeks. I've called google Ads 3 times, spoken to 3 different people about why one of my campaign that I reactivated is not getting any impressions. I have spent over one hour total but no one has been able to resolve my issue or even guide me as to what I need to do to get the campaign running.
I don't have any issues with where the call center is located but if the staff is poorly trained or incompetent, there is no point in calling and wasting my time. I'm very disappointed.
Our Google ad campaign was accidentally deleted on 07/30/2019, had to call Google(which led me to the call center in India)was told to look for an email with instructions on how to activate the campaign. I completed all the information per email including reformatting my info to a txt format and sent back within 5 minutes. I was assured on the phone that my ad was going to be up and running with 24/48. Two days later, I call because I have not heard anything, once again I was assured a group of team member"s" were working on this and ad will be up 24/48 hours. I called next day. I finally get a gentleman by the name of Ron on the phone and he proceeds to tell me that they do not have all the information that was requested. I told him to look again! I added more than what was required as I did not want any issues. Within 5 minutes (after being on hold) a supervisor gets on the phone, Edwin and re assures me that he and now Ron will be working on this and my ad will be up and running within 24/48 hours. Two days later, I call again. This time they tell me I did not add the proper URL onto my domain... I told them to look again! They then proceed to tell me, I have my website on private because he can't access my website... I said, "TRY AGAIN" because my website is public. Again, was assured my ad would be up and running within 24/48 hours. I was losing money every day because I put my trust in Google and was sure this was going to be taken care of immediately! I called two days later, asked the gentleman if I should just start a new ad campaign, he advised me not to... the ad will be up in 24/48 hours! At this point, I was so beyond frustrated, the next day, I started a new campaign. 08/08/2019 NOW, wouldn't you know, my new ad started 48 hours later! 08/09/2019 they call me from India, to help me with the old campaign (but still NOT active) Just did not make any sense to me?
OH! And if you are trying to call a number in the United States, think again! I tried 5 different Google locations, Miami, Colorado, Texas, etc... I got an automated response with no option to leave a voicemail.

I started an ad in March but never finished is and canceled the ad. Since I have been getting charged for the ad even though I had canceled it. Google ads customer service however won't refund me even though I have spoken to multiple reps and now I have several hundred in charges. Do not work with Google Ads, the cost is outrageous and the fact that they will charge for things that were supposed to be turned off is even worse.
Like it or not, Google Ads is the ONLY paid method for achieving visibility among customers via search engines. The interface is very powerful but customer support is available to troubleshoot any concerns. I recently spoke with a support specialist named Indrajeet and he went above and beyond in analyzing problems with my account. We were able to implement changes on the telephone to generate increased visibility for my campaign. Indrajeet is really incredible and knowledgeable about the Google Ads system in a way that I can only aspire to achieve. He really helped to save my bacon in a time of high stress.
Abusing people and spying on people is not the only things google does
If there is justice on earth they should be arrested immediately with a lot of other companies in the US
Be careful their system turns Ads back on after you pause them, yes they do funning things even when you are talking to them. Best to use someone to manage the account for you.

Yesterday I called the google ads team as my ads have been disaproved yet I do not see why, (destination not working) yet the destination works perfictaly.The lady I spoke to advised me that i would recieve a call back within 24 hours. Today 24 hours later I called again and spoke to another lady who told me that I might hear back within 24 - 48 hours. Regardless of how many tims i asked weather or not I would recieve a call back in relation to this issue she continued to repeat the same line "you MIGHT recieve a call back within 24-48 hours. When I asked to be put throuch to the after call review survay she said her goodbyes an I promptley got disconnected from the call (no survay). I have been a google ads customer for a number of years now and my business relies strongly on my google ads showing yet Google cannot confirm when this issue wil be resolved.

I have used Google ads for 3 months now. I get tons of clicks, but extremely few calls resulting from those clicks. Apple each customer who contacts me and ask directly "how did you hear about us" and they're answer gives me the information that tells me which form of advertising is working best for me. When I run the numbers of clicks to callsI get a very accurate percentage that shows me that for every 21 clicks I receive only one legitimate call yet I'm still charged $2 for every click! But I may receive 25 sales calls and scam calls during that same one week period! Google does not now nor ever will give you a detailed statement showing where those clicks actually came from so for all I know they have people sitting around clicking your ad just to run up a bill! I am pretty sure I'm going to completely drop this form of advertising because in the long run it costs me more than my actual website does and I'm not making money off of Google ads advertising
Adwords works for me. I've been a customer for years and continue to use the service as my primary marketing method.
But, and it's a big 'but'. The Adwords team are just totally untrustworthy. They will do anything to get every last dime from you, often by stealthy methods.
Three times over the last five years the Adwords team have changed the rules to randomly (and without warning) empty my bank account. They change the way budget limits work, bid strategy rules, and other stealthy ways to spend your budget. An example is the daily spending limit: Once, this was exactly what it says it is, a limit for the daily spend. However, this was suddenly changed to an 'average daily spend limit' (meaning that Adwords will simply increase the bid price until your daily spend is used). These things can come as an expensive surprise if you're not watching your Adwords account closely... and those Adwords advisers will only ever advise you to spend more money, often with worst results.
So, if you're going to use the service then check your spend regularly and make sure you can absorb a random big bill every year or so. Think 'used car salespeople', useful, but be careful when dealing with them.
They provide nothing and then take tons of money from your account. Five clicks on my ad and I was charged over 400 dollars. I made 45 dollars off those 5 clicks. This is straight up theft!
Worse customer service ever, they are digging their own grave by offering zero customer service. They refuse to refund hundreds of dollars billed as a result of an unauthorized access to a long-time paying customer account. A hacker created a campaign that sent traffic to a porn website, they won't reason or offer any kind of help whatsoever. Stay away, their ads don't convert as they used to anyways.
Google has not provided me any support with my ad words. I have only received calls from actual wrong numbers and they are costing me about $62 a call. Total robbery. No one from Google will call me or even respond to my emails.
Answer: Google is a very dangerous company, it has far to much power and governments around the world should be protecting their citizens from it. Google ads are taking £150 every month from a disabled persons personal bank account, despite being asked to stop as there has nether been an authorization for such payments, they have been given bank statements, end to end id codes and yet they continue to take money. BE VERY VERY CAREFUL DEALING WIT H THIS DIRTY COMPANY.
