False, offensive & outdated
May 20, 2022

1. Needs to fact check their articles. The supposed experts who write for the magazine have less knowledge about neuropsychology than a first year psych student.
2. Misogynistic view of AFAB people with ADHD. Adult women/AFAB can most definitely present with hyperactive symptoms and not "just at night when they are worrying about their family".
3. Ugly and outdated design.

Negative ADDitude toward teachers
August 29, 2021

I find that when I am reading most of these articles, teachers seem to be blamed for a plethora of negative outcomes despite the havoc that teachers must endure each day in the classroom. I have read everything from "teachers vocabulary weaknesses", to step-by-step instructions on how to belittle a teacher in these articles. Not every teacher is a SPED teacher, nor have they had the training in these areas, yet ADDitude has given a very lopsided view of what their expectations and entitled opinion is. I am sad that this magazine cannot bridge the gap, but instead tries to create separation between the teacher and the parents.

AdditudeMag Review - Excellent Resource
February 10, 2018

Adding to the previous review it's also a good resource for spouses of adults with ADHD. My wife has ADHD. The online articles, print magazine and podcasts have been a huge help to both of us.

Adult ADHD symptoms express themselves numerous ways. Encourage anyone with a spouse who is chronically late, interrupts frequently, can't finish projects, lies often, procrastinates, addicted to video games, shows unexpected flashes of anger, has hard time pulling away from a task, disagrees frequently over minor points or rambles on and on to educate themselves about adult ADHD.

Most adults with ADHD don't realize they have it. There also aren't a lot of professional who know how to treat it. People with ADHD will always have it, but the resources on this site can make it manageable and could save your marriage.

Attitude Mag online is a nice website for parents and professionals who are new to learning about and living/working with children/adults with attention deficits and learning disabilities. It offers easy to access articles and tips for life, school and work. You can find out more about treatments, medicine and behavioral interventions which are all pretty well-updated.
