Greeted at the door with Assistance
November 9, 2022

My first visit to the Ace Hardware store at 89th and Memorial in Tulsa OK. Couldn't be more pleased with the help I received by Rich W. Located the products I needed and loaded them onto the cart and then into the car! So great to encounter an employee who knows the location and products they carry and so courteously assists in getting them into the car. An efficient, pleasant visit that is a rare experience of late! I will be shopping this store again in the near future!

Previous employee
October 29, 2022

My husband and I went shopping at ace hardware Medina ohio on 10/29/2022. As my husband and I entered the store we were not greeted. As we w t to get what we came for, and I noticed one of the employees(cashier) went to the store manager to tell him I was in the store. He came over asked if I needed help and proceeded to tell me when I'm ready to check out he will ring me out at vine and hop register. The 2 cashiers that were there had no customers. If this is how your employees (cashiers) treat people that is a shame. I am not a disgruntled former employee, but since I'm no longer employed there I should be treated as a paying customer. As my husband and I were leaving the (cashiers) did not say anything to us they just stared at us. This is very poor customer service. I will not shop there again. Again your employees should have training on great customer e and respect for shoppers.

Great product
October 16, 2022

Professional grade product. Easy install after watching brief instructional videos. Used dewalt impact driver for self tapping screws and worked well. And I'm not a professional installer…just simple retired homeowner happy to learn and try something new. Tips in video very helpful, including trimming small tip off end edge of overlap screen to allow ease of closing gap between sections.

It's sad to say that ace won't help the consumer on returning ANY hurricane products. Purchased a generac generator and extension cord. Found my old extension cord and try to return the new one and was told ALL ace hardware stores will not honor any merchandise bought for hurricane relief.so revenues far exceed then helping customers. Sorry to say but had no problem on returning stuff to Home Depot.

Don't expect good Customer Service
September 29, 2022

WOW! These folks ARE NOT about customer service…only about taking your money. Will be looking for another hardware store. The Ace in Winder is TOTALLY MORE CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED…worth the drive for a pleasant experience.

I am really disappointed at the manager's attitude in the warrensburg store, i went in with my mercedes key, he said yes he could cut keys with reverse cutting no problem.
However he didnt stock the blank or even get it. I asked if i got the blank would he use his machine and cut it for me?, he said yes he would. I spent $45 per blank key on ebay which was non refundable, i went to the warrensburg store once again and was told we dont cut customer blank keys as it may damage our machine.
I will not give business to them, will also tell everyone i know about this lovley experience.

Worst lumber ever
September 13, 2022

My ace hardware store looks like it's in a ghetto and been robbed, the front door window has been broken for weeks and they just put plywood up over. At their lumberyard is half outside which is not covered by tarps any longer and it rained the night before I had to get some lumber it was so wet I cannot touch it for 3 to 4 days until it dries out and hope to God it doesn't warp like a corkscrew, The new owners are trying to make it nice but in honesty it's gone downhill and looks like garbage the people are pretty inept faces changing almost on a daily basis this place is a cesspool, I can no longer buy lumber due to the fact I can't wait three days to start working what a joke

Outragious prices
September 9, 2022

I've been going to our local Ace Hardware to support the business here in town. In the past few weeks, I've noticed a huge increase in their prices. In particular spray paint. Rustoleum sells for $5 a can everywhere including Amazon. Ace Hardware sells the exact can for $15! Ace has 2" brass hinges in a package for $10. Amazon has Stainless Steel $10 for 20 hinges!... and they're stainless! Those are the items I was hoping to get today but left with nothing. Nope, sorry I will not be returning to Ace Hardware.

The lady at ACE called Gurlia was amazing she straight away she found me what I was looking for, take note you can only find at ACE. Not at carrefour or ikea which I was first told. So don't waste your time... o straight to ACE.

Water valves
August 13, 2022

Bought a 3/8 toilet shutoff valve, charged me 16.11 with tax, went to put it on and noticed how cheaply it was made, felt light duty and could see the casting lines, made in China! Decided to hold off and went to Home Depot, found a BrassCraft, made in USA and a much nicer valve AND it was 5 dollars cheaper! ACE needs to get their act together, quit buying cheap Chinese junk and get their prices inline!

I visited the Greeneville, TN store on Friday, August 5,2022. The people at this store are always friendly and courteous. I had a plumbing problem where my toilet was running about every 15 minutes due to loss of water in the tank. One of the friendly persons working there helped disassemble yjr tank stopper. Due to my vision problems, I was unable to see a little notch the gasket was supposed to seat in. The ace employee fixed the problem, put the device back together. I have now installed the stopper assembly back on my toilet tank. No leakage and this employee probably saved me $30-4o. Ace gets my business in Greeneville

This hose was bought to replace one (different brand) that burst after less than a month. It is great so far: stronger and hasn't kinked once.

Do not buy from Ace…$450 gone
July 5, 2022

Ace Hardware Big Lake AK sold us a broken Craftsman 3300 PSI Pressure Washer. They would not exchange as they said we put gas and oil in it.
Since when do companies not replace broken equipment? I had an entire deck crew waiting so ended up buying at Home Depot and threw out a $450 machine after Craftsman said to contact Honda.

Crooks
July 2, 2022

I had my wife bring my lawnmower to ace hardware in tannersville on 611 in Pa. They told her it was no good and instead of coming to get it they'll discard it for her. She told them no, seeing it is my lawnmower. I found that odd, because I just brought it and used it once. I just left the gas in over the winter.so it was strange to me that a brand new mower was as they put it garbage. I went on YouTube to see how to kick over a mower with gas left in over the winter. The YouTuber explained what to do. So I got carb cleaner and sea foam, 10 pulls the mower worked I let it run for 10 minutes, then cut my lawn. Men don't send your wives to ace in tannersville on 611 in pa they'll tell her it's no good and tell her they'll discard it for her so it don't waste space in your garage, men don't go there because they'll try and steal your equipment. Their CROOKS! And real dishonest. I wish I could give 0 stars. I had to leave a deposit, only to pay them to try and steal my mower from my wife.

I was recently at the La Puente Store wanted to ask some questions about a window bracket and the cashier directed me to aisle 14, buzzed another associate, however nobody around to assist. A younger gentleman approached me and asked if he could kindly assist me and he verbalized I need to get a call will come back to you later. Therefore I went towards the back of the store where it reads: Customer Service where I waited patiently for over 10-15 minutes, then a guy by the name of Michael came to the counter to assist me and he was not aware/clueless/inexperienced if you ask me! Immediately after an older rude (bald with glasses) employee came over and said what do you need told him I needed help with this broken bracket and continue to be rude with respect to his approach! Then after this so called manager on duty by the name of Mark came with his unprofessional attitude and I asked is this not the "customer service" counter where buying customers can ask questions, he said no this is only for screening! Everyone from Management, to staff are incompetent and worthless! Never again will I be going to this local hardware store to spend not even 1 penny! Best of luck to all!

I received a Large Big Green Egg from the Lake Forest location for my Birthday. After receiving this beautiful gift I realized it was to small and I wanted the XL. I spoke with Kirk the store manager and he was happy to order me a XL and exchange it for the large. Of course I paid the difference. But they came and delivered it, carried it to my backyard and set in inside the table the was designed for the XL Big Green Egg. Then took back the Large and the cardboard that it was shipped in. They made this happen in a very quick time. In just a couple days actually. Truly the best customer service and professionalism I have witnessed and experienced in a long time. They have a forever customer and will refer people to shop there. Thanks again to everyone at Ace in Lake Forest Park.

I usually like shopping at Ace stores; I frequent all the stores in my area. I purchased some simple chair bumpers online and picked them up at a store. They were too big and I went to return them at a different Ace store a few miles away and they wouldn't take them. They said something about not being able to use the paperwork that I was given when I purchased the items. So now I have to drive all the way back to the other store ( which is now closed) to return them. And they only cost about $8, so it seems even more inconvenient to have to make two trips to do this. They should inform customers at the time of ordering that items are only returnable to the store at which they are purchased. The stores all carry this merchandise, the packages clearly were unopened snd had all the stock numbers, etc on the package. I was even returning them the very same day. I do not understand why a very simple return couldn't be handled. Super bad customer service. And no one tried too hard to help either. They shrugged their shoulders and said "sorry".
