On July 29/2025 I incurred over $100 in fees from a truck rental due to the false advertising Access Storage has about 24/7 Access. They fail to advertise that my location is an exception to that rule, and you'd have to look into their specific website apparently to find that out.
I also had no notice, despite detailed monthly billing statements, informing me when the promo I signed up on was ending and the sudden doubled bill came as a shock. Please note that if you are even a little late on your bill, they will harass you with emails, texts and constant calls, so it is very reasonable to expect that at least a note of increase would be added to the last promotional bill.
I submitted a Better Business Bureau complaint in the summer of 2025 after the Manager at my location, Rinkje, refused to do anything in line with any sort of customer service. Now, in February 2026 (6 months later) I finally got in touch with the Senior Manager, Michael Hu, who proceeded to cut me off, yell at me, and tell me there is absolutely no repair they are willing to make for the fees I incurred due to their advertising while blaming me, the consumer, for their mistakes as a company.
I have a recording that I will be submitting to news organizations of Michael Hu, a grown man, raising his voice and cutting off a young woman who wanted her concerns addressed after 6 months of no resolution or response. BBB themselves told me they had a hard time getting in touch with this business, but according to Michael Hu, he "tried to contact me right away".
They continue to refuse any sort of resolution.
Overpriced and service charges like crazy if you are late. They will negotiate no partial payments. They simply do not care what your situation is.
We rented a room in York mills access storage one month ago. One week later, on November 12th, the pipe in the room leaked. Many things stored under the pipes got wet, and the cardboard boxes were rotten, but it has been a month now, and no one is solving this matter, they procrastinated again and again! With an attitude of not wanting to be responsible at all! This company is not reliable. The most important thing for a company is reputation and responsibility. Otherwise, after an accident, the customers suffers, both mentally and financially! There are so many warehouses out there and the competition is fierce, don't choose this one!
I stored my personal items after leaving a domestic relationship with 3 of my young children in April 2022. 2 days later the negligence of my ex spouse has caused a tragic house fire losing everything we owned in renfrew. The last bit of personal and sentimental items we had left were stored at access 17 storage. I finally went in November 5th 2022 to gather some belongings and the smell of MOLD almost knocked me out. I started to remove some items out to find the source. My $7000 leather couches, $3000 worth of mattress, box springs, carpets, as well as $3000 worth of misscilanious were all covered in mold. And I mean COVERED. I emailed the property with photos and videos and simply requested to be reimbursed for the 6 months of storage fees. They had no sympathy and quote on quote " these units are not humidity c9ntrolled. In rainy conditions, the units will hold moisture. It's the same as storing your items packed tight in a garage. We do not have insurance to cover your items. "
When I asked for my money back they offered me my $50 deposit back if I removed the items covered in mold out of their facility.
GET INSURANCE, or rent an indoor storage unit such as diamond or anything like that. Learn from my experience
I had the worst experience at the Yorkdale location and I received a survey review which I usually don't do but in this case i did because the lady was so horribly rude. So I do the survey and basically told my truth, today I received a phone call from a man named Micheal saying he was the district manager and that he spoke to the lady and he understands the frustration I went through but can I go back and remove or change my review. First of why would I do that? This lady is there too do a job and help people that need too store their valuables she doesn't know what that person is going through but decides too be so rude. So for this manager too call me and ask me too lie is sooo crazy too me. People find a different storage company access is no good.

If I could I would give this company a ZERO. The worst costumer service I ever seen! I have book a unit in brixton hill 10 sq ft unit which they compare this unit to red telephone box. When I arrived I realised that the description doesn't match and it's too big for my stuff. Pictures attached! I ask for smaller one so I don't pay for something what is too big. I was told there is non available. As I was leaving the next day I did not have time to move stuff somewhere else so I accepted the big on planning I will be away only for 2 month which the price for first 3 months is half. Before I left I did complain to one of the employee that their description is false and the unit is twice that big. The employee agreed with me and told me he will talk to manager and make me a discount. I have email the next day but they never come back to me. I let it be and I pay full price. Unfortunately now my situation changed and I will be needing the unit until at the end of the year so I emailed them again. I was told by very rude store manager Kelly G Ephraim from Brixton Hill store That the unit is correct, I won't get discount and if I want I can come and move my stuff into smaller unit. After explaining that I am overseas and I cannot come to london just to move my stuff I didn't get any logical help. So I contacted the main costumer service. I already send two email but no reply. It's very interesting that during my inquiry i had a calls and emails from them every single day but once I paid and I needed further help everyone is just ignoring my emails. Another company who just care about money that's all! Avoid in all costs!
Storage units are as clean as storage units can be. I have a long term 5x4 storage unit to put stuff that I can't fit at work because of a small office and limited space available.
My unit is in North York around Leslie and they have always been good to me. Just make sure you pay your bill or put it on pre-authorized payment so you don't have any issues like the previous person.
