They no longer care about their average consumer. After years of using them for my contacts they have taken advantage of me. I tried ordering more contacts and noticed my account had been locked. So I contacted support in a worry since I needed contacts asap. I can barely see without them. I usually order a few times a year, only this time I had been told I had a return charge in February and we are now in June! I purchased a few times since February now, and they just now had decided to tell me I had a return charge after almost half a year. I had no phone call, no email, no mail, or text about this charge that was returned, I also did not notice it in my bank account that it had been declined. Either way I never had a company once ship something before it was payment confirmed. This was extremely odd to me. So now they locked my account and said the only way for me to pay is a certified check or money order! With no other explanation or help. I guess saying I must now go out of my way to pay off a balance I was not told about until they locked my account is their way of helping. It's okay though. Lensdirect will now get my business along with my wife's. They also locked my wife's account when hers is completely separate from mine. So we both had been attacked and taken advantage of. Such a shame I feel the need to let others be aware of they way this company had went down hill. No wonder they have extremely low ratings across all charts now! Whoever is running 1800contacts should be fired.

I called in Nov 2024 - Dec2024 and Jan15 2025 - for a return label to send contacts back my script got changed. They sent me the new box but Never sent the return label for the others — 3 phone calls slider a return label to be sent to me in mail - So Feb17,2025 they send me a email with a pdf with label attached- then turned around SAME DAY and TOOK OUT $114.99 out of my account with out consent… Stay away from this place - manager said he would put my money back in my account right then - never did - I wrote a letter to the Better Business Bureau on them! Do not give them your bank information- Get a freedom card and put the exact amount and do your order from that card - only add money to it when you do an order! This place is a SCAM - and customer service and the little guy as management- need some courses! Go to Sam's club get your contact - A lot Cheaper!

You can pay 20$ for a perscription on the site, however after you pay and finish the test all it says is "test complete" and no update about when your perscription is going to be verified by a doctor, or even if they will send an email update. FINALLY 1 day later I got an email from them verifying perscription, clicked on link that says "order now with your renewed perscription" or whatever and it doesnt automatically even enter your $#*!ing perscription into the checkout and there nowhere to upload it. So THEN you have to wait for another email saying we cant ship your order because you need to upload perscription - now this link is broken on mobile. Basically you have to sift through links in order to do the most basic $#*!. It took like 2 $#*!ing days to order contact lenses for no reason.

Ordered contacts paid for overnight shipping took two days to get.They said they had to confirm with doctor.Uploaded my prescription to them still had to confirm which was fine but still sent me wrong lenses for one eye. Turns out they never confirmed anything and sent me them anyway which were wrong and didn't match my prescription i sent them.Two weeks later still couldn't get the replacements for my one eye. Ten emails and calls later still working on it no contacts sent to me yet.Finally said enough is enough and sent the years worth of lenses back.Would never do any business with them again.

No update on your order?

After days of no update, I deci6to send them a follow up email, turns out they are out of stock of the contacts I order and pushed my orders' ETA to few weeks than what they said after I ordered. Disappointing that I have to follow up to give an update. Most online places will give you an update automatically and be apologetic about it. Reason why I'm giving them 2 stars is because at least somebody responded to me.

I am sorry to say that I am shop with 1-800 contacts. They have always been cooperative with excellent customer service. To offer a gift card after you make a large purchase was wonderful,But now they are not taking any responsibility because the gift cards DO NOT WORK! They only refer you to a website or an 800 number to call -which neither you offer a live person! It's a complete runaround!company does not support their offers or take any responsibility!horrible

I was kind of worried about ordering contacts online. But I was surprised it was great. Got got just what I ordered. Did not have to leave home and drive to the store wait in line. So quick and easy I will be ordering my contact from them from now on. It did cost.22 more but with the price of gas a big savings

Bait and switch scam

If you use insurance they take away your 25% discount for being a new customer as well as any rebates you're supposed to get from the lens company. And they even raise the price of your lenses! So many great incentives to buy from this company, not! I don't know who is running into the place these days but they're running it right into the ground I'm never going to buy anything again.

Anyone that wears contacts knows that you don't need a new exam to get different lenses.the express exam consists of questions and reading letter and that's it. It should cover all contacts, at least all made from the same materials. If I get a prescription from my optometrist and I use it on there I can order any lenses. When I use their exoress exam, they want me to take a new exam just to switch from acuvue oasys to oasys dailies. It's absolutely absurd. Oh but they can recommend a really expensive brand without the express exam. So basically an extra $20 every time you want to try new lenses. Upload a prescription from the eye doctor WITH NO SPECIFIC BRAND MENTIONED and you can get any damn lense you want. Save your money. Don't go to them. I've used several different online contact lense services, and they are by far the most expensive. I only used them for the express exam. I didn't realize they want to scam an extra 20 put of you everytime you want different lenses. It's totally bs

Terrible experience

I scanned my contact case and it uploaded my prescription but they still wanted it verified so I sent them an email of my prescription and they wouldn't except it, then they wanted my doctors name and number to verify. I don't understand why they wouldn't just sell me the ones I wanted, they're incredibly difficult to deal with and I will make sure I go out of my way to tell people not to use them.

I complained about the price they had on the invoice was in US currency but 1800 Contacts hides that. I paid over $50 more just for the exchange. They sent me an RMA to return the contacts but that RMA was not valid when I when to UPS. After that 1800 Contacts told me to make my own shipping label, pay for the shipping and they would reimburse me. With the running around they expected and the time I already wasted and will waste with 1800 Contacts I kept the contacts. Plus. If I sent the contacts back I do not trust 1800 Contacts to reimburse me for the shipping or to give me a refund. The $50 I overpaid is cheaper than losing the contacts, my money and time.

Easy and Fast!

The process of ordering my contacts through 1-800 Contacts was amazing. I usually get my contacts from my eye doctor, but getting them on 1-800 Contacts was significantly cheaper. Getting my prescription renewed was easy and the contacts arrived in only 4 days!

Avoid at all cost!

I placed an order for one of my kids and I was going to bring the contacts to him when we met up out of the country. I told them that if they couldn't deliver them before I left that I wouldn't place the order because I didn't want them to sit outside my door while I was away. I reiterated how important that was to me. I was assured that it would be there in time. It was not. And it sat outside my door. I had asked them to track it when it was shipped, and they did not. They didn't have a clue that it was delivered late, after I had left. I saw on my camera once overseas, that it was there, and said they needed to arrange an immediate pick-up. They wanted me to take care of it, their mistake, from out of the country. They were stumped on how to arrange it. I told them how to do it. After they didn't take care of it in 2 days, I had someone pick it up and toss it, which I had told them I would do, since we would be out of the country for many weeks and it had sat outside in the heat for days. I spoke with Ashlee multiple times, Emilee multiple times, among others. They were completely incompetent. I spoke to Lindsay and then the supervisor Samantha who both called the refund they gave my son for contacts that he never received that was their fault, a "1-time courtesy" that they did for him. How is this a COURTESY to him? It was their mess-up, which cost me hours of aggravation by phone and emails, dealing with unprofessional and unqualified people who couldn't figure out a basic order. And they gave attitude as if it was our mistake and not theirs. And we didn't get an apology.
They cannot be counted on at all! Save your time and energy and go to your eye dr. for your orders. This company is flaky, and their employees are the worst! Incompetent and limited in their understanding of customer service. USE ANYONE ELSE BUT THEM!
