After 4 months of communicating with World of Judaica they finally refunded my order. It's sad that I had to file a BBB complaint and resort to social media to get my situation sorted out. They now get an extra star and buyer beware wrt doing business with them.

Similar experience to other reviewers. Non responsive and I think this company is a scam. Beware. They actually finally sent a response to my many queries ( email and voice) on Shabbat morning. I think this is a scam company masquerading as an Israeli one. JMHO

I placed an order with World of Judaica some months ago. My order arrived but with some issues and an offered discount did not happen. I was unhappy, particularly as this item (shofar) was a gift.
When I wrote my initial review and contacted the company their response was rapid and very gratifying. The discount was applied retroactively and my other concerns were quickly addressed. So while my initial impression was poor I must retract that review and give high marks for the customer service I received. I would here like to give a shout out to Poalabelle Sarfati for her excellent efforts and follow up on my behalf. I truly wish all companies would be as diligent and honorable in their dealings. I now have no difficulty in recommending this company.

Best online shop ever!

I love World of Judaica and all of their products, they are so beautiful I can never decide what to get. And they have everything you can imagine. Its a real world of Judaical products, from food to decorative items, they have the best quality and product I have ever seen in shops like this. I saw the bad reviews here and truly cant understand them, they have always shipped what I ordered in time and very well wrapped.

I was extremely pleased by the service rendered by "World of Judaica." I ordered a book, which was delivered very swiftly in excellent condition. I was highly satisfied by the price charged and the quality of the printing. I would definitely recommend "World of Judaica" to anyone seeking fine Jewish books.

Most of the tallit katan's I own I purchased thru World of Judaica as it worked out the cheapest since they use to offer free shipping. It was also an additional + because like a few other online stores they are made in Israel too. The only reason I dropped the rating is because they no longer work out the cheapest since they now charge for shipping - which is more than the product.

I ordered on October 29th 2015 and have not received my merchandise or even answers to seven emails. They took my money out when I ordered. I don't like being stolen from and expected better from an Israeli company. I will support Israel in another way but no more trust when dealing with companies that steal. I will turn this into the District Attorney's Office along with the other people's emails that have experienced the same scam! I hope they are run out of business!

My wife ordered a t-shirt, tank top, necklace and earrings in November. My credit card was charged and after numerous attempts to contact WOJ and numerous promises of delivery WOJ is no longer answering our emails. Looks like they have gone dark. This is thievery. Plain and simple.
When a company has only 5 stars or 1 star reviews pay attention to the 1 star reviews, wished I had. If you carefully read the 5 star reviews they are very sparse on detail. All of the 1 star reviews are very specific. And they all say one thing. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! IT IS A SHAM!

I have always experienced only the highest quality of products from World of Judaica. The artwork, Kiddish cups, Havdalah and Chanukah candles, menorah, you name it -- are all exquisitely crafted and bring uplifting joy and fun to my home. There is no better heart therapy than shopping online at World of Judaica.

I've been online shopping for over 20 years but have never in that time had an experience this terrible... and that experience matches what everyone else is saying.

Ordered on 24 November... money deducted immediately. All items listed as in stock on the website. Delivery estimate 10-17 business days. Then nothing. Oh the long waits to hear anything that you will quickly become used to. The online status goes to "In fulfilment"... and nothing happens. Then more nothing.

Eventually on 16 December they e-mail to say one of the items is out of stock for the foreseeable future and ask me to choose another item. Despite still showing it as in stock the previous day, on this day it is suddenly gone from the website after all the weeks of showing it as in stock. I now see that this is the standard MO for this site, but I go ahead and choose another item that is in stock and reply to their e-mail.

Silence. More silence. You go to use the live chat on their site and discover that it *always* says they're not available and gives you a contact form to fill in. At this point I fill in a complaint about their service. Silence. Almost a week later on 21 December they reply back and say they've updated the order and "We will take care to email you the tracking information once the package ships out".

Oh yes, the false hope you also have to get used to. On 26 December they respond to my complaint. Like everyone is reporting, all they ever do is blame their suppliers. Anything and everything is the supplier's fault... they even blamed their lack of communication on the suppliers... "we can only upgrade the costumer when they update us".

Then they throw in more false hope... "We would like to upgrade your shipping method to expedited as an apology for the inconvenience". Great. By this stage I notice that - remarkably - the *replacement* item I nominated was suddenly changed to out of stock, which they didn't mention when making this kind offer. So there's no sign of when they might actually ship anything at all, expedited or not.

I reply back on 27 December to tell them to cancel the order and process a refund.

Silence. More Silence. Eventually on 6 January they finally acknowledge cancelling the order, telling me to wait a *further* seven days for them to process a refund. I'm not planning to wait and find out how many weeks this means in reality - I'm lodging a transaction dispute with my bank.

What gets me that they make out that this is a one off and it's all their terrible supplier's fault, yet once you look at the reviews suddenly the truth is revealed... complaint after complaint with the exact same experiences.

These people wouldn't know customer service skills if it hit them in the face. Don't be fooled by the slick website... this organisation is utterly hopeless!

Where is my item? This company does not reply to emails - is never available on live chat. Awful service. I am still waiting for my order for a necklace placed November 26th. Just ignored many emails... took my money quickly enough! I expected better from an Israeli company... disgusting.

I am thoroughly disgusted with World of Judaica. Save your time and money and stay away.

My wife decided to make tallit by hand for our daughter's bat mitzvah, occurring on January 7. Four weeks out from the date she purchased tallit strings from WoJ for $3- a great price. She also payed $21 for expedited shipping. Expedited shipping that still required 9-11 business days.

You read that right: $21, or Seven Times the product price to get the strings with enough time to finish the tallit for the bat mitzvah.

On the eleventh business day, my wife checked the tracking only to discover that despite WoJ claiming the product was "In Stock" it was on back order. She immediately attempted to cancel the order as it would not arrive in time. This was December 29. The website also continued to lie about the item's "In Stock" status.

Our cancellation was ignored for five days despite emailing, calling, and texting. We were informed today that WoJ shipped the strings on January 2, three business days after we requested a cancellation and that they would not refund our money.

This company should be ashamed of itself. Not only are they dishonest and incompetent, but they reaffirm the worst opinions of Jews.

UPDATE:
The tallit strings arrived today. The day after we finished my daughter's tallit using different string.

Technically this is in time for her bat mitzvah but it is a week later than what we paid for, and after the project was completed. I am mentioning it here for my own sense of honesty and integrity.

The long and short of it is, that I will consider WoJ, again but only as an absolute last resort, and only through a third party with fulfillment guarantees such as Amazon. WoJ itself cannot be trusted and I stand by my earlier review.

WARNING to Australian shoppers - this site might have an au address but it is not based in Australia and it has no affiliation with Gold's World of Judaica. So don't order expecting to receive your product in any kind of reasonable time frame. It was only after I placed my order for Chanukah candles in early December that I got notification that delivery will be in 10-19 business days. What the...? Needless to say I did not receive the candles in time for Chanukah. In my opinion this site deliberately obscures where the products are shipped from - I'm assuming Israel but who knows? I've bought from many overseas sites and as long as they are upfront about where they are based and what the expected shipping time is I don't mind, I can make an informed decision. Hopefully I will get the candles in time for next Chanukah.

Took about 9 weeks to arrive. My enquiries were not answered with any sense of urgency. I gave up on them (although they did arrive eventually) and purchased from another supplier. Considering the number of emails you send me encouraging me to buy from you I was extremely disappointed and will not be using your service again/

My question is why is the service of World of Judaica so bad? I ordered almost 7 weeks ago and have received nothing. They charged my card the same day I put my order in and I have not received anything. I have sent email messages and phone calls and and they just ignor me. I want to know why they ignor and if and when I will receive my order.

I ordered almost $300 worth of items in November and I have yet to receive them. I sent the "customer service" dept. 5 emails and left 5 voice mails, all of which have been totally ignored. Needless to say, I now have 4 family members who will be opening up their Hanukkah gifts this year. This business and these people give Jewish people a bad name. They are a total disgrace. Someone needs to investigate this company. They are thieves. Taking money but never sending the products they say they sell.
