I bought a complete set of the British ww1 officer tailor made uniform and coundn't be happier of both the quality and the customer support.
My trouser needed to be exchange because of an error on my part and everything ran smoothly from the first contact with mark to the delivery. Because of the niche nature of the market it is hard to find a good address that delivers quality and customizability.

I have bought several pieces of gear and uniform from the History Bunker and each time I have been incredibly satisfied with the quality and the historically correct detail of each item. In addition to the meticulous attention to authenticity in the product, Mark offers a second to none customer service. I buy with confidence from The History Bunker and wear their products with pride.

In the past I have ordered a Zulu war tunic and just received a Zulu war officers patrol jacket both made to measure. They both arrived 8-10 weeks after placing the order. They fit well and are extremely good quality. The jackets are both made by them in England along with most of the rest of their products which adds to the effect, its like Lego which is still made in Denmark it just adds something to it that you just don't get when something is made in a place like China or India. If you are considering buying something from them just do it you will not regret it.

I have always admired the sophisticated, beautiful yet also rugged look of the thick leather greatcoats I often saw in historic WW II era photographs of German officers. I often searched the web for originals, but most of them were extremely expensive (up to $4,000 US dollars) yet not in the best condition due to being original items. I wanted to be able to wear one of these coats that didn't look too worn out. I was so eager to have one of these coats that I would search for black leather trench coats, but none of them had that very unique look of the German Officer Greatcoat. And nobody that I know of sells coats like this in the US.

Then I saw the movie "Inglorious Basterds" and saw Christopher Waltz wearing an absolutely amazing and truly intimidating German Officer Greatcoat! I did an online search and after a pretty lengthy effort, I found The History Bunker!

I got into contact with Mark, and he verified that the Greatcoat worn in several movies and in "Inglorious Basterds" was the one sold at The History Bunker. Mark took down all my measurements, and within about 7 weeks, my German Officer Greatcoat was done and on its way! I was frustrated with the amount of time I had to wait for ordering, tailoring and shipping, but when I received my greatcoat via FEDEX, I realized the wait was well worth it!

What a magnificently designed and tailored coat! Looks just like in the movies and in historic photographs. The leather is thick, shiny, firm and just elegant. I guarantee you will be the only man wearing the me of these as they are all but nonexistent in the US! I wore mine and received numerous compliments on the look of the coat which is indeed unique! I received many compliments on the elegant looking shoulderboards! You can even opt to choose a different style of shoulderboard if you like. Mark is ready and eager to accommodate your request. I opted to go with the Field Marshal shoulder boards which made the coat even more unique and elegant. But the default Company Grade Officer shoulderboards are beautiful as well on the coat! The pebbled buttons are awesome, tough looking, rugged yet elegant and classy!

My only regret is I ordered in the middle of January, so when I received my coat, there was not much of a winter left in Texas, but I was still able to proudly wear my greatcoat a handful of times! I am very very pleased with this amazing greatcoat! It fits me perfectly and it has extra room for me to wear a nice suit underneath in a more formal occasion. I can't say good enough things about this greatcoat! Wearing this coat, I actually felt like a German Field Marshal. This coat had absolutely no Third Reich or SS markings (swastika, SS tab, breast eagle, death head, etc) that would give a stigmatic impression, so nobody should have a problem at all with you wearing this coat. And besides these rank insignias don't exist anymore in the German Army. They are similiar but still vastly different. The shoulderboards are merely an adornment that absolutely make the coat! I received many compliments!

I can't wait until next winter to wear mine again!

Very happy with the pea-dot came reversible to white Waffen SS parka. Been looking for one for a while, and am very happy I went with History Bunker. Ordering from the US, and it's little hard to trust you won't get ripped off, but I'm glad I did. Mark is great to work with, answered questions about the product thru email and confirmed order received, and when order shipped, which btw was free thru DHL. Took about a week to get to the west coast, and I have no complaints.
The parka looks great- just what i expected. A little heavy by todays standards, and made of cotton- something called herring-bone twill, which is supposed to aid with water repellency i think i read somewhere. Not sure how that will hold up in the great NW, but fingers crossed. May use some nikwax and that oughta do it. But hey, if you were interested in goretex, you wouldn't be shopping at the HxBunker. If you are looking for the authentic real deal, you've come to the right place. Now I gotta go do some Where Eagles Dare $#*! in my new reversible parka. Think I'll choose the white side for that...

Being a distrustful person in general, I tend to check up on reviews first whether they are reliable enough; I'm glad that they actually are very reliable, and fast too when it comes to delivery. Qualitywise these products are also outstanding. As for communication, Mr. Mark replies very fast to your questions, should one have these.
I'd recommend this store for people who look for good WW1 garments. (mine was a WW1 French overcoat, and I'm very pleased with it).

Ordered a German style M36 brown jacket. Had it customized to my hearts desire regarding the size, inside color, button color, pocket placement, shoulder boards, etc. Totally satisfied with how it feels and looks. Hands down better then the overpriced China made brand name crap they sell as fashionable in the city, rather support small European businesses. Whether I wear it to a big shot city corporate gathering, rural ride on my Harley, or the local store - I feel gangsta knowing its representin the Reich, wherever my travels may lead me. Love the leather smell and feel of the coat. Finally satisfied with an online purchase for once, thanks to Mark. Totally recommended.
