What a joke

I ordered a turnout thinking I was getting an additional 25%off of my purchase not knowing the prices they were showing me already reflected that while I was shopping. Very confusing I thought they were having a sale. They're shipping was steep and the estimated time was quite a ways out. I remembered seeing the same one on Amazon. So I ordered that one. Tried calling state line five minutes later to cancel my order since you can't do it over the internet. Well they close at 6 eastern. It was 615 pacific nw time. They didn't answer and it also said they didn't open until Monday... I ordered it on a Friday. I tried everything writing to them and hoping I could stop the shipment. That didn't happen. In the amount of time it took to get this package I already received my package from Amazon, tried it in my horse... too big, took it to kohls to be sent back at no extra charge and received my refund. Through State line I now have to pay 20 dollars to have this sent back to them and an additional two weeks before I'll see that money back in my account. Do not buy from these people especially with something like a turnout where there's no guarantee it'll fit and you'll more than likely have to try many before you find one that does. Biggest mistake I've made while ordering off of the internet!

I have ordered from Stateline multiple times and everything I have order has been exactly what I wanted and in the quality I needed. The prices are hard to beat, so whenever I need a new piece of tack I always shop at Stateline. Now the customer service isn't the best but isn't the worst either. I've never experienced a rude representative, however, my questions aren't always answered clearly, and on one occasion I didn't get a reply. The biggest downside is the shipping. It generally takes me two to three weeks to get my items. Now I wouldn't be disappointed if the shipping was cheaper than normal, but it isn't so it doesn't feel like a good deal. The only time I got something quickly was when I got a drop shipped saddle in under a week, so if you order a drop-ship item it might arrive quickly. All in all, I recommend Stateline, just don't be in a hurry and rely on your own research for products instead of relying on customer service.

Still Waiting
November 25, 2020

We ordered several hundred dollars worth of tack room equipment and winter blankets well over a month ago. Weren't told none of it was in stock. Currently we have been given two ship dates after the original one and still don't have our merchandise. I don't feel we were treated with good faith.

I placed a $300+ order last week. A few hours after ordering I looked at my order on my account page... Every single item I ordered is on BACKORDER with no ship dates. I called to cancel order and was told I can't. What?! I immediately called my bank and started a fraud claim.

What a scam. How do they stay in business?

First I'd like to start by saying I have never written a review before but I feel that the return policy especially for a product that was incorrectly sized is wrong. I ordered a sheet with a neck cover for my 17 hand draft cross gelding. When I tried the blanket on it fit perfectly but the neck cover was absolutely HUGE. My gelding has a pretty substantial neck being a draft cross and this cover was so huge on him that it literally hung down. There was no way I would have been able to turn him out with this cover. I called and said I was going to need to return because of the poor sizing. State Line Tack needs to look at their return policy because I ended up having to pay nearly half the price of the sheet to return. I will now do all of my ordering from smart pack because of their quality, customer service and return policy.

Blanket return

Wish I had read these reviews before placing my order. I can't say customer service was awful (I paid $18 in shipping to get within 5 days and it did arrive). Also, when I called for a return authorization the gal that helped me was delightful. However, I then learned that I would be working with the provider of the blanket for the return. I had this experience with Walmart and haven't returned since. When you buy from a company, they should also assist you with the return, not turn it over to another company. Also, with that said I realized I will be paying close to $40 for shipping charges. I plan to go with Smart Pak from now on for all of my equestrian needs. Outstanding customer service and provides free shipping... and free returns!

Poor service

Purchased a pair of boots. Tried to return them. Sent many many messages about returning them. Stateline would not return messages. Never did hear from them. Went through PayPal so they refund money but Stateline never did answer any of my messages. Even tried calling several times. Customer service would never pick up the call.

I placed an order for a riding helmet during a time when there was free shipping, yet I was still charged for the shipping, and the helmet took several weeks to arrive. I called about the mis-charge, and a gal told me that I would be refunded, and it was sent already sent to their accounting department to be processed, but it never posted on my account. I called again today (a few weeks later), and politely asked about the shipping refund, and the man tried to say that I selected ground shipping, (except I didn't--I specifically used the promo code for the free shipping), so his story was different from the first gal.

The helmet was too small, so I had to return it. It was very expensive for me to return, and they've had it for over a week, and they still haven't posted my refund. IT SEEMS LIKE A SKETCHY BUSINESS, and they are extremely rude, even though I was polite, so I felt really taken aback by how they run their business. Terrible customer service. Will never order from here again.

I have been a customer for years, but never again! My most recent order was updated last Thursday 10/22/20 with the note that the item was backordered and the manufacturer could not provide a ship date. I have called daily attempting to cancel my order since then - a week ago. They say that they are waiting to hear back from the manufacturer and cannot cancel my order until they do. In the meantime, they are holding $220 of my paypal balance which makes it unavailable for me to use. So to recap - they can't ship the product, they refuse to cancel my order, but they are keeping my money. Paypal will not help either since it is just an authorization rather than an actual purchase. But in the meantime that is money that I cannot use. I am just disgusted with this company at this point.

We've used State Line Tack for years and always had a good experience. Historically, good service, great product and decent prices. Sadly, we can no longer say this to be true.

We have a horse who has laminitis and the grazing muzzle we got from Tack Line did not last. We ordered a new one knowing the old one was breaking. This horse's survival depends on a good grazing muzzle. She can't go without one!

The package was lost between UPS and the post office... and after many calks we were promised a new one would be rushed to us. Three weeks later and many phone calls, emails and broken promises and we are still waiting, the grazing muzzle now on back order.

The young man who recently took our last call was clearly working from home and was sullen and rude to my daughter who doesn't have a mean bone in her body. No apologies, and no resolution; uncaring and unkind. His bad attitude unbelievable.

I stepped in and tried to remedy the situation as the older "Karen" that I am and talked to a wonderful woman who was apologetic and kind. Every person on their team should be like her. But there was nothing she could do until the product came back in stock.

We'll see how long it takes to actually get the grazing muzzle to us, but I'm thinking it will still be many more weeks and many more phone calls.

State line, if you are reading this, please help these folks working from home in your customer service to to be more accommodating and kind. Is there a standard even in place? What you have put us through trying to get a simple grazing muzzle is frankly, ridiculous.

We want to like you again!

Very disappointed

I ordered two hats ynsleazys for a costume pairs class for two children to ride in at the Halloween show. The order was placed well in advance (week and a half) and I paid for overnight shipping as well. You all waited till two day after they were supposed to arrive to tell me that they are on back order. I personally spoke with Linda, Shelby and Abby on the phone. They all three said it was just sitting in a warehouse. Now it is too late and I will have to completely redo the pairs class theme without the products I ordered. The show starts tomorrow. So very disappointed.

Frustrating experience

2nd time I have ordered from attack. We work through a broker since we are in canada. 1st time after 3 weeks and no result, I called. They had held the order because of the address. Not sure why they didn't call.
This time after placing the order online, I called during business hours to confirm the broker was legitimate. Then I got an email splitting the shipment. Doubles the brokerage fees. Decided to live with it. Another email splitting once again. Nothing had shipped so I called and asked that the last split be cancelled as it was only one item. When the 1st two lots were shipped I called again, asked for an invoice and to please make sure the last item was cancelled. Later that evening another email, part 3 was shipped and invoiced five days early. I emailed immediately, 1130 pm my time and called at 6 am the next morning. No response. The staff are pleasant and sound helpful but unfortunately they dont actually DO anything. Never shopping there again

My dog has to be dressed all the time because he has alopecia, and it's very hard to purchase clothes online because the sizes cannot be trusted. When I found a brand that fit well, they were hard to find and the prices were outrageous and inconsistent. Most retailers would have one or two items at a decent price, but the prices of other items were much higher. That's how I stumbled across the State Line Tack website. Their prices were the best I had found for all the items I was looking for and there was a 25% discount applied to 4 of the 6 items I had chosen, so I thought I had hit the proverbial jackpot. I created an account, selected the shipping option I wanted, and proceeded to checkout. When it came time to select the payment option, I selected PayPal and, at that point, everything in the shopping cart was exactly what it should be. However, when I was redirected to PayPal to complete the process, the total amount due was higher than it had been in the shopping cart so I cancelled the payment process and returned to the shopping cart to find out why. What I found initially was that the 25% discount had changed to 15% without warning. With some difficulty, I was finally able to change it back to 25%, but the total was still wrong. Eventually, I discovered that the charge for economy shipping that I had chosen had increased from $7.99 to $9.99, again without warning. Since the shipping cost is supposedly based on weight and the items were exactly the same, this didn't make sense and I found no explanation. Granted, it was only a $2.00 difference, but the fact that it was increased without warning and for no reason left me with the feeling that they were intentionally increasing the charges in small increments with the hope that I wouldn't notice, which is very underhanded. Regardless of the amount I'm spending, I don't do business with any retailer that I can't trust to be open and upfront about their charges, so I did not place the order. Now, after reading so many negative reviews for other customer services issues, I am so very glad that I found out what this company was like before I actually spent any money, and I know better than to even try. I would much rather pay a higher price to a reputable company.

Bad service

Ordered a new bridle and placed the order only to find out after paying for it that it was on back order. Would have been nice to know before placing the order. Called after a 2 week wait to cancel and was told I could not cancel the order. Had to call twice and finally got someone to let me cancel. Could not get a confirmation number on the cancellation. Not a great company to do business with.

Problems with shipping, difficult returns, wasted time on hold to correct their error on my order. Waiting for missing items I already paid for. I should have read the reviews before ordering. Same items ordered through SmartPak were received before the shipping was even updated by State Line Tack.

This company needs to provide return shipping if they are going to have a robust online shopping business. I just spend $127. Return shipping two pair of boots form California to Pennsylvania. There is no way to know if a boot will fit properly so this company needs to negotiate an at cost shipping rate with a provider that extends to customers who need to return. Subsequently, I will never buy from this company again and I will warn everyone I know off of them. It's just bad business.

False advertisement

I ordered several items (including a saddle package that was offered for a good price). Three weeks after I placed the initial order and received the other items, I received an email claiming that the saddle package was no longer available. Their website still offers the same item, only now for 150% of the price that I had ordered it for. I called the company and asked if this saddle package was available. The salesperson confirmed that it was. When asking my previous order had been canceled, if they still sold the same item, she said she had to "check the system" and then informed me that not it was no longer available. The whole set-up seems to be a false advertisement scheme to lure customers with good offers and then not deliver the well-priced item, just the regular priced items.
