You only hear from them when is time to renew your contract, they say they will work with you if you are in trouble during Covid times but if you are under contract they don't (see other reviews). They don't stand behind their product.

Too many scam jobs
August 17, 2020

I would rather stick to Indeed. I apply on snagajob and most of the emails i get back are scams. Its annoying. They need to have a better way of detecting scam accounts

While I'm bombarded multiple times a day with emails from SnagAJob with job opportunities, majority of the time they are openings that either don't actually exist once I click to be linked to the opening on their website or they're full blown scams. Two examples: first, I get an email at 10am about a variety of open roles with Amazon. When I click to see these openings, they aren't actually there. Furthermore, I check Amazon's actual job board and they haven't been hiring at all. Second example, I kept getting email after email after email for WEEKS with a job opening from the Post Office. When I finally check it out and go through the application, it asks me to pay $40 in "admin fees" to have my application processed. When I look into this matter, turns out this is a fairly common scam website posing as a post office job board. SnagAJob DIRECTLY directed me to this job application.

I could've had my payment method compromised, leading to the potential loss of thousands of dollars in my bank account, all because SnagAJob doesn't vet through scam openings. I've also never heard back from a job when I applied via SnagAJob, but have heard back from the same jobs when I've applied on the actual company's job board. Snag is a waste of time and honestly dangerous if you're not internet savvy. Don't waste your time.

People (don't) Matter!
June 26, 2020

I requested Snagajob/PeopleMatter to put my account on hold while my business was closed for two months due to the coronavirus. They refused to work with me at all. I was planning on continuing to use this company, but I will never work with them again. Terrible service!

Watch out. This is potentially a scam site for employers. They asked us for our federal tax id and business name. DO NOT give them your information. Whoever recommends this site might be in on their identify scam.

Too stupid to let employers post jobs?
April 28, 2020

How stupid can these people be!? They cancelled my account for no reason. I am a business owner looking to PAY to place an ad to hire and they cancelled my account? Dumbass representative on phone had no idea why account was cancelled? I've seen monkey $#*! fights at the zoo more organized than they are.

Untrustable
April 6, 2020

So, this place asks for your whole entire social security number. Nut just the last four digits, the whole entire thing. That's so risky for identify theft! I highly do not recommend it.

I have been using Snag for several months. I don't have a problem with the referral process or their assessment of potential applicants. HOWEVER, it is March 23,2020 in the midst of the covid. 19 pandemic. We closed our business out of social responsiveness. I contacted them today for suspension of my contract. They agreed to give me a percent off my next bill, that they "weren't able" to adjust my contract.

Waste of Time
March 19, 2020

Not sure why employers use this site to post their open positions. I have never been able to submit an application using this site. Employers are missing out on good applicants when using this service.

Horrible overall~
December 15, 2019

They don't send notifications about jobs you have applied for. Sometimes when you go to apply for a specific job, it says that you can't apply for this job because you don't meet the requirements for the job, when I verywell did.

No results, do not stand behind their service
December 12, 2019

Posted a competitive job offer on Snagajob ($80), and received a total of 0 applications, not even unqualified applicants. There are many job sites that are better structured and will actually help companies to find qualified employees.

Snagajob is a waste of time and money.

Unprofessional, Fly-by-night
August 5, 2019

I just completed an application for a job where "employer actively reviewing applications." The application included my social security number. When I had wasted 20 minutes doing the application and submitting, I received a message: Posting expired, but we have other listings you may be interested in. This effort was a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY. Never again!. I am going back to Indeed.

Great if Employers are Active
July 7, 2019

Make sure that wherever you're applying to is actively looking at applications. I applied to 15 places in one day. The only place that was actively looking at applications called me the next morning, we scheduled an interview for that day, and I was hired on the spot.

However, no other places have even given a rejection. Inactive places should be removed from Snag.

Nightmare
May 21, 2019

I WASTED MY MONEY & MY TIME. DO NOT RECOMMEND USING SNAG A JOB. I used this site to try and hire a retail associate. I paid a lot of money in hopes this site would yield qualified candidates to fill this position. My job post was well written and the compensation was competitively priced, so I was expecting Snag a Job to deliver as lead me to believe they would. As a few unqualified applicants trickled in, I called customer service to ask for any tips or tricks that would help improve the results of my post. I did not get any recommendations or suggestions and had no choice but to wait and hope it would start working. I ended up with only 5 applicants in one month and could not interview a single one due to the poor selection. Their website claims they are America's #1 spot for individuals seeking hourly work! I find this incredibly hard to believe due to my terrible experience. Snag a Job claims you can "post a job and find someone fast". I wish I had gone to one of their competitors. I hope this review will save another employer from enduring the same nightmare I experienced.
