They suspend the service and not reply the support, since Twilio is managing sendgrid they are cheating the clients and the people
All of a sudden thousands of emails that had NO issues being delivered suddenly were blocked. I have a better chance of speaking with my father who passed away 9 years ago than someone from Suppoer getting back with me!
We are working on e-commerce product and have decided to use SendGrid for sending our users confirmation emails. Everything was fine, users registered, emails sent, but after a week our SendGrid account was blocked without any notifications. After two support requests to SendGrid we have received email from them where they ask us to know more about our business. Our answer was very fast, but 3 days gone and no any feedback from SendGrid was received and our account still blocked.
So, be careful to use SendGrid in production - they may block your acc at any moment.
They just can disactivate your account for now reason and your businnes will be down for uncertain period of time. And you won't have any replies from support for weeks even if you send them hundreds requests.
Sendgrid is good unless you need something. Customer service is nonexistent! Don't waste your money. Go somewhere else.
I never like to do negative reviews but I would strongly advise everyone to avoid using SendGrid like the coronavirus.
We have used SendGrid for years without any issues and would normally highly rate them, in fact, we put all of our clients that host with us on this.
Our account was blocked access last week without any explanation yet they have emailed to tell us they are taking payments from our account. They have taken multiple payments over the last week. So far they have taken successfully over £400 in 4 days. We have tried everything to login and multiple password resets but nothing comes through. We have tried everything via support tickets and emails yet no one responds. My bank is now trying to sort this issue out where I'm hoping they can try and resolve for us. I then thought I would search online to find everyone else's experience seems to be the same.
It looks like there is either a security breach their end or they are scamming customers out of money.
I had sendgrid free, then I upgraded to the basic. After the shared IP has been blocked many times due to spam, I decided to go to a dedicated IP address. $89/month (really expensive for the service). I send around 500 emails/day for my learners. The server wasn't sending it, it was sending only 100 emails. As it had a limit of requests. I tried to contact their support service and it was terrible, no help at all.
Then, I added some of my IPs to the whitelist, unfortunately I had to change my home IP and I got blocked from sendgrid, after over 2 weeks trying to access it and adding IP, they haven't helped me or given me a proper reply.
Not only I could not send emails, I cant access my account, neither I can cancel.
I had ti sign up with Amazon SES, and now my life is great!
Terrible support, the worst so far, cant even cancel and get a refund =/
The low price made me skeptical to begin with. So I only put one contact in my database and tried to send an email just to test it out. I made the email and hit "send". And for some reason, they only allowed that campaign to being labeled as a "request". The email never made it to the "delivered" section. So I logged back in and checked the status after a couple of days and that campaign was still not delivered. So I made a duplicate email and hit send again just to see if maybe I did something wrong. Same thing happened. So in a nutshell, they would not deliver "one" email to "one" person for me. And I tried to find some help on the website. They dont have and email or a support staff as far as I saw. So I would never give them a dime, because there is nobody to help me with my issue. And, after reading the other reviews on here, i'm inclined to believe that the positive reviews have to be fake. As far as their business model, it seems like a good way to make a lot of money before they get shut down (if they get shut down). The picture shows how I have two campaigns that were never delivered. And they haven't given a reason why and they dont have support so I can find out why. They suck in my opinion.
Still waiting for them to even acknowledge a week old ticket. Looking at moving away from them due to bad service. We are a client paying over $150 a month, and they just ignore us.
Our account got suspended on day 1 for no reason. Raised a support ticket but still no response after 24 hours.
It has one of the worst email editors I have a deal with. Once you have done something, there is no way you can undo it. It's just frustrating to try to create and edit an email. The text box is imitated. The whole editing page has flaws and bugs that should be fixed, but they never care about it.
They took our money with services we never asked for. Continued to charge us and never replied. NEVER USE THEM
I can't get reports on Sendgrid, just can; t. I run a report, I hit the export option, get a link to the export, download the export and it is blank. All the time. I have raised so many tickets with these guys and they are just so useless! They close the ticket without ever resolving my issue. I have been arguing with them for 3 days now about an export as they seem incapable of running this for me on the parameters I have typed out very clearly for them, or screenshot I have sent to them. They have told me to filter it if the export they are sending doesn't suit, but the export they are sending me doesn't contain the field that I need to set a filter on! I am so frustrated with these people, and no resolution ever seems to happen for the fact that the exports are continually blank.
Stay away!
I created an account and payed on August 26th, tried to upload my lists, it was impossible because the service was down, I was not able to access the account on 27th and asked customer support, on 28th they tell they closed the account for violation of service terms."Our system does not provide myself or other members of Support with details regarding decisions made by our compliance team"
We do not send marketing emails, only transactional emails for our windows apps to customers that request support or activation of new devices. We have 100% positive reputation and no bounces or spam reports according to our daily summaries. A week after setting up and adopting SendGrid for our emails, we were suddenly banned without warning or reason, and told "we were not a fit, so they won't talk to us anymore, bye." PLEASE search about this, it has happened to many others. You can do all the work to ensure you are 100% a "good email sender" and best potential customer ever, and then they can take your money and shut you down without warning and no resolution or communication with them possible, period. We lost thousands of dollars and unprecedented customer reputation lost due to this. Buyer beware.
"Hello,
Thanks for reaching out. SendGrid leverages many different vetting techniques and as such we've determined that you're not a good fit for our platform. Because of this, we will not be able to activate your account. Our system does not provide myself or other members of Support with details regarding decisions made in the sign-up process. As such we are not able to provide any more information to you.
I apologize for this inconvenience."
There is no way to remove your credit card from the account information and they keep charging me month after month after month. I was never able to use this service, and their Tech Dept could not resolve the issue. But they keep charging as if I was actuallya ble to use their service. I write, they respond, but nothing happens. I keep having VISA investigate, they say they have resolved the complaint, but the first of the month rolls around and SendGrid charges me again. STAY AWAY FROM SENDGRID I use mailchimp for my high school class notices and have never had a problem. But SendGrid is all about problems. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
This company has as a policy to just lock you out of your account with no communication to you. We were in the middle of an email campaign - our first mailing with this company - and all of a sudden we couldn't access our account. Mailing was stopped about 2/3rd's the way through. Our "Reputation" meter on the mailing last checked at 97%. So we were puzzled as to why were locked out. Maybe a malfunction of some sort. Nope. This is what they do when they decide you have violated their rules. They will not tell you what you did. Just lock you out. No number to call, don't respond to emails except days later when support said we violated their rules but support says they don't know what rules.
Was using it for a while.
Until my account got banned, without any information, no reply from the support.
Absolute total silence.
I signed up to try their services. I only managed to test sending out one mail to 50 of my members before they instantly banned me citing a violation of their terms.
When I asked their support about it they simple told me that they didn't have the means to read the reasons behind it and failed to provide any help whatsoever.
Don't sign up for this company. They are a joke. I'm just glad that I never had the chance to give them any money before they chose to reveal their true form.
If you want to send spam email, this is the company for you. I get half a dozen spam emails from their clients every day and report every one of them, but only once have I received a reply that they took action. They have a terrible spam problem, which means they have a compliance problem. Spam is against US federal law (CAN-SPAM Act of 2003).
Answer: This is what they do. Support finally emailed me saying I violated their rules although they aren't told what rules. There is no recourse and no one who cares.
