Foolishly, I sent them my sister's jewelry for evaluation and, perhaps, a sale. Their offer was ridiculous and I asked them to return the jewelry which they did minus two turquoise rings, a graceful Persian turquoise and gold ring valued at $400 and a chunky turquoise man's ring. Contacting them was a complete run-around. An exercise in futility. Of course I'm heartsick but also disgusted with myself for trusting them.
I sent my ring in to be appraised. They offered me the lowest of the 5 places I sent it so no, they do not give the best payouts. It was half of what the others offered me. I declined their offer offer and was told it would be back to me in 3-4 business days. I was never sent the tracking as they said I would. It has now been well over a week and I had to contact them for the info. My item was sent out yesterday, not when they said it would be. They've caused unnecessary stress and worry over this. You should be able to trust a company claiming to be so highly rated with the BBB. I will not use them again.
We sent off my deceased mother in laws collection, over all, 60 ounces in necklaces pendants earrings etc. they "appraise" gemstones weigh too high per carat! 1 carat =.2 grams. The itemized list for our offer showed 1 gram earrings with one carat gem, that's still.8 grams of gold! "actual" gold they listed was only.3. Unless you are DESPERATE for money DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!. 26,000$ worth of gold and was only offered 7,800$. Terrible 70/30 split in their favor!
A so called gold buyer in Michigan near my home town made me an offer of $60 for my dental gold which I knew was worth much more. I call the people at sell your gold and explained I had 12 grams of dental gold and was given an estimate of some where between $510 and $550. Ordered my kit and in turn sent it off to them and within a few days my gold was evaulated and a offer of $543.76 was made which I accepted and was paid the same day. Very happy with the experience.
I sent a few items for a quote before selling. They offered me said amount on black hills gold rings but were to return the rest of my jewelry. I received everything except for my diamond necklace. When I called them I was told the necklace was included with the rings. I told her to go back on the recorded phone call and they would be able to hear that I was to get the necklace back because I was not going to sell for the offer they were giving me. The necklace was worth $2,500.00 back in the 80's and I wasn't going to sell it for a couple of hundred dollars. After she talked to her supervisor I was told I would not be getting my necklace back. BEWARE! This company will find a way to rip you off they should be closed down for what they do. Please, please find another company to do your business and stay far away from this place.
I sent them several items and their first offer was $2300, felt that was low and called immediately to decline. They immediately offered me an additional $700 and I still declined. Said they would process and mail back. The next day they sent 3 more offers going as high as $3900. I still declined and a week later they are finally mailing back my items and hopefully they are all there! If they had been fair and honest they would have offered me the $3900 initially.
They offered me $47 for a 3.9 g 14 karat gold ring with diamonds Better off, going to the pawnshop they'll give you more
I decided to give them a try since they provide a free shipping label and claimed to pay the most for silver coins. I knew that they would probably not pay as much as my usual buyer, but I figured the free shipping would offset any difference. Plus they claimed they would beat any competitors price. (Lie). Well first they gave me a ridiculous offer. This wasn't a low-ball it was in the dirt! Then they came up a little bit with a second offer which was still too low. I asked about their promise to beat any competitors price. Their answer? My usual buyer ISN'T a competitor because they don't offer free shipping. Huh? So now I have to get my stuff returned and ship it elsewhere. So my advice is: if you are DESPERATE and need money fast, these guys will pay you fast for your valuables. But you won't get anywhere near the real value
If you look at the reviews on their website it looks like they really give you a good price for your items. I tried twice. I rejected the first offer. I sent two David Yurman rings, two sterling silver rings, two tennis bracelets and a 14k anklet. They offered my $50 then changed it to $100. REJECTED! I thought I would try again and sent coins. Old Silver Dollars (3) from 1922 and 1921 and a silver walking liberty uncirculated. They offered me $59. I only took it because I really needed the money and they said it would go into my account within 24 hours. Needless to say I regret even sending anything to them in the first place. I will say the customer service reps were very nice but nice doesn't pay the bills. Of course I cannot leave this on their website but wanted it documented somewhere that it was a real disappointment. Makes you wonder if the reviews on their website are real.
I sent a 3 strand pearl necklace appraised at $2800 and 16.37 grams of scrap gold. After 9 business days and 2 phone calls. I was offered $127 I said no send it back, They told me it would be a long process and could not guarantee it would make it back to me. It would be in my best interest to take the offer.
Lesson learned, all of the positive reviews have been planted by the folks that are making money by shorting everyone that falls for their scam
They are legit. Good communication and easy to use. Price was fair. Reccomend. Sold some silver rounds. Don't know about gold experience but they seem to be a fair company. Was easy to just put in a box and go to FedEx.
I was impressed with their speed, I had an offer the day after I mailed the items. I would not hesitate to use them again.
Sent in my items and received a prompt appraisal of $692. Called and asked them to return items, received a new appraisal later that day for $1200. Called again and asked them to returm my items and received a "final" appraisal of $1500! When I called again to speak to a customer service manager I was given a story about two different "tiers" of appraisals... preferred, etc... and then a longger story about the rule that they had to hold these for 14 days before they could do anything with them after they purchased... and maybe the price of gold and silver would drop, etc. Absolutely absurd! I expect them to make money... but to increase an appraosal by over 100% is not the best business practice. Lesson learned... keep asking for the items back... then move on to another dealer!
I had 2 jewelers price my diamond at around 1,000 dollars. I had it on a white gold ring. My diamond had its own certificate with all the specs, which I also sent with the ring. I spoke to a guy named 'Ryan' over the phone and he offered only 30 dollars for my ring, diamond included. He said the diamond was a lot smaller than my certificate said it was. In fact he said he didn't know anything about a certificate. Of course I said 'no thankyou' and 'send it back please.' When they sent it back, the diamond looked smaller and is crooked in the ring like it doesn't fit right in it anymore. There are also dents on my ring like they did a sloppy job of mounting the diamond back in. I don't know what to do. Please don't send your gold to these guys they will low ball you and swap out your stones! :'(
