False advertising... Outside mount dont block light as described
These are clearly not made for the outside configuration and let in a ton of light around the edge when pulled down. Not only do the blinds sit almost a 1/4" away from the mount / wall (pic 2) but the accordian gets narrower when drawn, creating a huge light gap!
I'm sure the inner mounted ones are better but its a complete misrepresentation for them to say outside mount functions as described. They're not even set up to sit flush against the wall.
1 star because of course theres no return policy... what a scam.

This product is great and meets all expectations. We upgraded our old light filtering honeycomb shades to blackout for our infant. Great appearance that we were expecting. New with this one, besides blackout, was the continuous loop design for the shades. After a few minutes, they were easy to install the loops. The shades go up and down well, it blocks all light through the shades, and look good. Additionally the shades were manufactured and delivered quicker than expected.
Love my Cellular Shades!
I got the premier blackout double cell shades in pumice color. First time getting cellular shades and I love them! Color is beautiful and when the shades are up it looks like ombr? Style. They compliment my sunroom beautifully + they really keep the sunlight out. We can even take a nap! - installation was easy! Wish I could show pictures.
Exactly what I needed
This shade covers a window on a door leaving our basement. We purchased the "no drill" featured install and it worked perfectly and looks even better than the picture on-line. Very pleased and will be buying more.
Premier Blackout Cellulars
This is the first time I have used select blinds products and the first experience with Cellulars blinds. They are worth every penny the blinds are a great complement to the new wood windows that we had installed.
Terrible
I purchased 18 windows worth of these blinds between July and October 2023...
- Many of the honeycombs have already come unglued and have separated which looks terrible!
- Product support asked if they were overly exposed to sunlight as a possible reason... Seriously, aren't blinds supposed to block the sun?
* UV BLOCKING is even listed as one of the features of these blinds, so I'm a little confused!
- Product support then tells me that I have to go through the fairly involved warranty claims process for each problematic window-blind.
- If the replacements are of the same poor quality, I will be doing the warranty claims process and reinstalling blinds every year until my 3 year warranty expires.
*** Don't waste your time or money, these blinds are garbage... wish I had gone with any of the many less expensive window treatment offerings from a local store.
Love them, very nice looking
We ordered the Luxe Room darkening and the Premier Blackout Cellulars and loved them both. We've had them a couple of months and I'm impressed, they look nice and are pretty easy to use. Would buy these again.
I do like these a lot
While I love these blinds and they look great the other part of my order was for a vertical slider to match these. I have issues with it. I have been ghosted by customer support. I will buy elsewhere in the future.
Great Blinds-Not So Great Installation
The blinds look great, are well constructed and do a good job of keeping the room dark. However, the installation instructions were too basic and incomplete. We consider ourselves to be pretty handy people but had to revert to a YouTube video. Even then, some of the extra equipment we still haven? T figured out how to use. Further, it was nearly impossible to snap off the sections of the metal extenders that we didn? T need, even with a heavy duty vise. My final pet peeve is that the blinds swing out slightly and hit the door when opening/closing even when they are fully retracted/up.
I would give 6 stars if I would
I have ordered shades from select blinds for over 15 years for multiple houses. Every single blind has been perfect.
These blinds are no exception. Quality, speed, price were perfect.

We are very happy with the purchase of the Premier Motorized Honeycomb Blackout Cellular Shades. Blackout was very effective. Loved getting up this morning and with the press of the remote, the shades opened. Color and quality are excellent. Installation was extremely easy. Setting up remote was a bit tricky as instructions were somewhat vague but it was ultimately easy to figure out. When I had questions, customer service was perfectly helpful.
These look amazing and fit perfectly
I ordered samples to get a good coordinating color. The sample also gave me a good idea of what the shade would look and feel like. I had no trouble measuring and installing myself. These shades compliment my room and they work flawlessly. Remember to follow the instructions for measuring.

Should have bought Levelor
Purchased these top down / bottom up, cordless black shades. The mechanism to have them raise or lower does not work well. If my blinds are closed and I want to lower the top so only the lower portion is closed, the blinds don? T retract. They just overflow onto the window sill. The magnet to hold the top up is not very strong. There is usually a gap large enough to let in light, negating the whole point of blackout / room darkening shades. I? ve had these blinds installed for almost 2 weeks, that? S it! Would love my money back to buy Levelor. I had them at my previous house and was very happy.
Better sleep for us!
We purchased the Premier Blackout Cellulars from Select Blinds for the bedrooms in our new house and are very happy with these blinds. The small amount of light that shows around the edges is not enough to keep us awake and they are very attractive. The Pumice color matches our window frames nicely.
Beautiful Blinds
This is our third house, beach house, that we have ordered and installed our own blinds. Couldn't be more happy in how the color and fit turned out. Love the colors. Used Premier Night Blue black out for the bedrooms and Thunderstorm light filtering for the rest of the house. Even the names of the colors are so fitting. Easy to measure and easy to install. Great customer service, very helpfull. Will always order with Select Blinds
