Purchased new light filtering blackout tri shades for 5 windows. They arrived quickly, in great condition. We installed with ease. The steps to measure made it easy and they fit perfectly. Great quality! I will be buying from Select Blinds again for other window and door coverings! It was overall a great and satisfying experience!
Great concept and product
I absolutely love these shades. The less light filtering part lets you see out but people cannot see in. I? ve had them for over four years. I highly recommend that you get the lift and lock, recently bought more and continuous cord loop is less than ideal. Only concern in fabric like material on header and bottom that can get dirty but cleans up okay.
Just What I Needed
I installed these shades on windows in 2 guest bedrooms that face a busy road and a very bright security pole light. Having the option to leave them open, filter, or block the light was the best solution for these rooms. They were very easy to install, easy to operate, and seem to be well made.

One of the blinds arrived with a crack in the header but was able to flip front to back. Easy installation.

Easy as 1-2-3
Originally sought out a quote for 1 set of inside mount blinds from a local vendor after completing a new window project as existing blinds would no longer fit. Upon receiving a quote from a local vendor (and not much follow-up) we decided to get another quote for comparison sake. While there was a lot of information to sift through on the web site before getting a quote on the blinds, we are glad we did. While there may be some minor differences in the quality of materials between the name brand quote we received from our local vendor, we are extremely happy with the blinds we received, so much so that we ended up replacing several other blinds in other rooms with the huge savings over the original name brand quote. Shipping was fairly quick and installation was relatively easy if you have the slightest mechanical aptitude. We are extremely pleased with the final product and would highly recommend the value Select Blinds provided!
Really nice no string shades
This shade replaced the one that I ordered in 2019 which had a string to draw the shades up and down. The old shade started to sag when I would put it up - so when I took it down I could see a balled bunch of string which somehow got tangled up. The new shade does not have the string and I would buy heavy shades for sure like this one with no string. It is really nice and fresh - I don't think I will have any problems with it in the future.

Overall we are very happy with our new Select Blind, it looks nice and fits perfectly. The installation was a bit more challenging than we were expecting, measuring & marking where the brackets should be, and how deep in the window frame, was a little bit difficult, but between the two of us, we managed.
Nice looking shades add a nice vibe to our room
We decided to try Select Blinds on a whim. The ordering process was very straightforward, and I appreciated the ability to halt the process and re-measure if necessary - made me much more comfortable relying on my own measurements.
The quality of the shades seems very good, and the mounts are easy to install and really solid (replacing old shades that used plastic clips with the new hardware was massive difference).
The only thing that I? D change if I could was to beef up the little plastic snap-on tabs used for raising and lowering the shade. Raising is not problem, but you really have to pull to lower the shade and I worry about the tab breaking off. Maybe at least supply 2 tabs for each part of the shade (filtering and blackout). Lowering them two-handed would be better than trying to find replacements.
Very nice but?
Well made, dark/light feature is very nice. The included pull mechanisms are not great and they are difficult to pull down and put up.
Disappointed
The shades fit well and seem to be good quality. However, I feel the description leaves out the fact that you can not see out when the filtered shade is down. It does let a little bit of light in, but you can not see anything. I ordered the premium shades for my family room and the filtered part is sheer so you can see outside. I thought I was getting the same thing. Unfortunately the descriptions for the premium and the regular tri-shades are the same and did not point this fact out.
Beautiful functional blinds
I am so pleased with my blinds. I love how easy they were to install and their appearance. The blackout works so nicely I have not had any before. The light filtering is perfect. They lift easily up and down. Cost and craftsmanship is on point.

Description not well explained
I thought these were blinds that were pull down from the top OR up from the bottom? PLUS having the option of using black out or filtered shade halfway through, 3/4 of the way through, etc. But they do not pull down from the top. You can only? Open? From the bottom to get an outdoor view, filtering shade, blackout shade, or a variation of the 2 with outdoor view only from the bottom. Which doesn? T work for us because our window is in a bathroom and it? S a very long window. I was hoping I could open from the top to let some natural pure light through since these are in a bathroom. I recommend you make your description more clear. Maybe show a video of how they work so one can see that it doesn't drop down to an open view?. Like some of your other blinds do. When the description said it was like having three blinds and one, those were the three options I thought I was getting.
They are very well made blinds. I am just disappointed because it wasn? T what I thought I was getting.?
Modern Light Filtering Blackout Shades
This was my first time ordering with Select Blinds. Received within a week of ordering. The blinds are beautiful and well constructed. Easy to hang. Very pleased with my purchase! Will order from them again in the future!
Perfect for the job
I was looking for something to block out the light when I wanted to watch a movie but didn't want to commit to block out blinds. The light filtering was just too bright for movies. This is the perfect middle road. And they look great!
If only we could mount it
The specs for this product say the depth available has to be at least 1 3/8 but the brackets provided need more than 2 inches of depth to attach both screws securely. Because of that, we could not secure the brackets. Only one screw at the very end of the bracket could be attached. Despite this inconsistency between the bracket size and the specs on the website, customer service offers no returns. Glad we only tried one first
Great Product - Great Value
A friend of mine bought high-end fabric shades like these at 4 times the price. I loved the idea of the tri shades but didn't want to spend that kind of money for a guest bedroom shade. I sent for the samples and they came right away. I was pleased with the material and we decided to order them. I'm sure fabric is more durable but not worth the additional cost to us. I called to ask a question and the customer service rep suggested when I was ready to order and had all my measurements to call back so he could go over the order so we could avoid common mistakes that people make when ordering. When I called back I got a different customer service rep that was just as pleasant and helpful as the first. We worked together on the measurement as we have an older home and not all the windows are squared well. The blinds arrived and I couldn't be happier. They work just as described. It is so nice to have a totally dark bedroom when we want it!
The only suggestion I would make is to include better installation instructions. My husband is very handy but he likes a sheet of instructions or a video to follow.
