Great blinds at value price
I have previously only used select lines for cellular shades. This is my first order of the woven blinds, top down, bottom up.
The samples came quickly. The color I wanted was backorder and I only needed to wait about two weeks since it was back in stock with immediate notification. Easy ordering and quick arrival of blinds are very attractive. I did have someone do the installation and he said it went quite smoothly. They look beautiful and add texture to the space. The top down bottom up function is very smooth-I would definitely order this again if needed.

Worth buying
I installed this shade in my laundry room and it does a very nice job keeping the sun out but yet provided light. I love the different ways I can move the blinds to get the effect I need.

Great fit
Love how they warm up my mostly white kitchen. They allow great flexibility with the top down bottom up feature.
Lovely shade
I bought the rosemary colored shade, and the shade is lovely. I had mistakenly thought there would be considerably more variance in the color throughout the shade rather than its decidedly uniform color. I also have to agree with a few of the other reviews with respect to the valance and the "rear view" - the Velcro sides are a bit low-end, given the price of the blind; and the mounting board on the back is raw wood and not of the same or similar color of the shade. I will stain it prior to hanging it.
Aside from the product itself, the shipping delivery was not as expected. I was unaware the piece was going to arrive through customs (this is clearly on me), and so shipping was well delayed from the expected date. I was given a specific delivery date and the actual delivery date turned out to be nearly a week later, which again, was fine, just not as expected.
Great shades!
These shades give enough privacy from the outside, yet let in enough light and allow me to still enjoy my view. They are made really well and were the perfect fit. Installation was easy and they operate with ease. The only negative, which isn? T really a negative, is that when you want to pull them back up from the bottom, you have to hold the side pieces of the valance out of the way a little. However, I love the fact that the side pieces are held on with Velcro so, I? M not afraid to knock them a little. They? Ll give instead of break. I? m loving my purchase.
I LOVE our blinds!
We had spent thousands of dollars on custom shade before. Not having the same budget, finding Select Blinds and finding out how easy it was to order and install we are hooked!

Exactly what we wanted
These custom made blinds were exactly what we wanted. The measurements came in precisely as ordered. The hardware was solid and easy to install. They look great!
Easy install - beautiful product
These blinds shipped quickly and were extremely well packaged. Install directions were emailed to me prior to their delivery which I liked. Paper copies of directions were also in the box. It was a very simple install and I did it by myself. The hardest part was holding up the heavy blinds to slip on the final screws to hold them in place. If you have anything wider than a 2? Window I would suggest having an extra set of hands. The blinds are beautiful and both the top down and bottom up functions work as expected. I am very happy with my purchase. I also spoke with a nice customer service agent who helped me order free samples before ordering this item.
Bamboo top down/bottom up shade
I love that these woven blinds open top down but unfortunately the staples are visible when pulled down. With outside mount, the valance ends are attached with Velcro and looked pretty cheap.

Look and Work Great!
I ordered two of these for my overly large kitchen window (couldn't get just one that was wide enough). I installed them myself as inside mounts, side by side, in a wood framed window. The screws that came with these were unncessarily long for mounting into a solid wood frame so I found some shorter ones, which are very solid and easier to install. I have never had these types of shades before and was worried about their reliability for ease and daily use of the top down, bottom up feature, but I have to say that they work great! And they look really nice on the large window over my kitchen alcove window seat. Great product and a good price with their sale.
Did not arrive in the width I ordered
I followed the video and reviewed the website when I ordered my Bamboo wooden shades. The video only tells you to round down 1/8" from the narrowest width measured. I followed the instructions and gave the exact measurement. My blinds arrive 3/4" too narrow. Even the website only says fabric is cut 5/8" narrower not bamboo wood shades. I'm still waiting on response to an open incident regarding my order. Phone calls go unanswered and are redirected to text messaging. It took 24 hours to respond to my text asking the order number. Another 6 hours to ask what's wrong. This is ridiculous. I tried opening a warranty claim and have yet to receive an email acknowledging it. It's interesting because the other two windows I ordered were only a 1/4 off. It seems they did not cut them narrower like these two I'm having an issue with. The blinds are pretty nice for the price and easy to install. However, if you have any issues customer service is really not available after the sale. It's easy to get someone on the phone when your ordering but after that it's extremely slow and inefficient.
Inoperable after 5 days
Very disappointed with these blinds. I ordered 2 at about 47? X 70?. I installed the blinds 5 days ago.
I got the golden poppy wood blinds. I ordered samples first. The blinds that arrived are slightly different than the sample, which I was prepared for, but is worth mentioning. The sample had no knots/flaws in the wood, where the blinds do have knots and flaws such as curved or crooked pieces of wood. Also, the stitching is closer together on the blinds vs. the sample.
The head rail on one blind was slightly bowed. I was still able to install but it leaves a small gap at the top. I installed inside mount.
The wood reeds/? Fabric? Of the blind is simply stapled to the top rail with silver staples. Considering these are top-down bottom-up blinds, that top rail with the staples is visible to the room any time you open the blind from the top. The staples leave it looking unfinished.
One blind refuses to sit level. I tried to follow the instructions provided to troubleshoot this, but it still went up crooked. Initially this did not impact the function of the blind, but looked very sloppy.
On day 5 (of very gentle use; we are a household of 2 careful adults), one blind got permanently stuck in the middle of the window. I cannot raise it at all on one side, and I cannot lower it at all past this point. My options are to leave the blind halfway down and crooked, or leave it floating in the center of the window. We will no longer have any coverage on that window since it? S stuck and won? T cover the bottom half of the window where it? S most needed.
Another thing to note- this particular fabric? Golden poppy? Does not provide much, if any, privacy at night. It blocks the view of outside entirely, but if you have lights on in the house and look from outside, you can get a very clear view of the room through the slats. You can make out facial expressions, see art through the window. I tried to test this with the sample but I didn? T realize until we hung the blinds up how little coverage there would be. Definitely not a good option if you want privacy. They do block some sunlight, though.
The only plus is that the blinds were easy to install, and they do add a nice texture to the room. But overall, since these do not function, this was a total waste of money.
Disappointed
Ordered two "Cordless Top Down Bottom Up" woven wood shades for our living room windows. Unfortunately though, when we pull the top down, the top of the shade is uneven - almost 1/2" higher on one side than the other. Apparently, there is no way to correct this. We should have just ordered bottom up shades. Disappointed.
I love these blinds
I love these blinds. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the wood mount for the top down part of the blind is not painted; the wood is tan and shows from the outside of the window. The blinds are dark in color and would look better from the outside if the mount was painted a darker color. Other than that, the blinds are beautiful and I? M very happy with them. Great customer service. I highly recommend SelectBlinds.
Great window coverings
These window coverings are really great and worth the investment. In fact, we will probably order more. These are for our office in the front of the house and the coverage options are just what we wanted. We can select the amount of privacy, and they're easy to adjust; they were also very easy to install. We're very happy with them.
