The worst costumer service, worst quality
December 17, 2020

I placed an order for a TV table at Nov 28th, I received at Dec 7th and I realized there are 16 pieces screws missing. I called Sears and they send email to seller and requested them to send missing parts. They send me 14 screws at Dec 16. After 19 days that I ordered the product, still couldn't use it because they sent me 2 screws less. There are no one responsible. Neither seller nor Sears. I will never purchase anything from Sears and Decoratika.

Warning Don't Buy From Sears
December 12, 2020

My wife and I will never attempt to buy from Sears ever again! We placed a order with Sears for a Kenmore Refrigerator. When we placed our order we were told the model we wanted 'was in- stock'. That was the beginning of the many deceptions and lies from Sears Customer Service, 'India'. Over the course of 10 days we were given 5 different Delivery dates and promises. On each supposed delivery day, the delivery was NO SHOW... and no one from the delivery team called (NO CALL) to advice us the delivery wasn't going to happen or why it wasn't delivered! The many calls to Sears Customer Service, 'India' put us ON-HOLD for more than 6 hours of hold time over the 10 days of Nightmare. All of the customer service agents had very thick foreign accents that made it extremely difficult to understand. After the 5th non-delivery we finally cancelled the order. The next day we went to a local Big Box store (Lowes). They had exactly what we wanted... it was $5 less than the price of stress from Sears. The customer service from the American Young Lady was exceptional. Our new Frigidaire Refrigerator was delivered the next day exactly when and the 'time that they had promised. This easy and enjoyable transaction took less than 30 minutes. I'm afraid that the 'Old Sears' that I had grown up (We're 72) with no longer exists. Save yourself the extreme Stress and pain... DON'T BUY FROM SEARS!

I purchased a $40 item (a specific patterned Calvin Klein Euro Sham) from a 3rd party seller, Savings Kingdom, on Sears' website. They sent a different pattern and then began a month-long nightmare that involved 34 emails, 1/2 dozen calls, at least 12 hrs of my time and finally to filing a complaint W/Better Business Bureau and PayPal.

Savings Kingdom guaranteed the product and to provide a return shipping label if there was "a material difference" between what was ordered and what was sent,

I requested a return, Savings Kingdom asked for pics, acknowledged it was the wrong item, first wanted to offer a gift card for the amount but finally authorized a return. BUT they wouldn't issue me a shipping label. It was going to cost $10 to return the $40 item.

I called Sears - they assured me not to worry - they guaranteed their 3rd part sellers. The Sears CS rep would send an email to Savings Kingdom (cc'd to me) and all Savings Kingdom would do email me back a return authorization with no shipping label.

I escalated the problem to a supervisor at Sears who promised this would be taken care of, he had an email sent to Savings Kingdom cc'd to me and Savings Kingdom would only respond with a return authorization # and a comment that Sears doesn't provide return labels.
I spoke again with the supervisor who asked that I give him a few more business days and promised to get Savings Kindom to supply me with a return shipping label and the same thing happened again.
This happened 2 more times and then the supervisor would no longer take my calls.
A lower level Sears CS rep tried to convince me to return the item at my own cost and they would give me a credit at Sears. They kept insisting it would be only $5 but it was in fact $10 - because I had to send it with a tracking number, etc. Plus after this experience with Sears and its false guarantee I had no plans of ever shopping at Sears again.

Finally, I filed a complaint with PayPal. That process too was cumbersome and awkward. PayPal promised to reimburse shipping but the PayPal CS reps didn't know the process very well, nor did some of them follow through on some issues. One of which was that Sears first charged $1 and then the remaining $40 separately. Some PayPal reps promised to get this taken care of but failed to. Finally, one PayPal CS Rep noted that I had to file a separate complaint about the $1. I was also given incorrect information about how to get reimbursed by PayPal for the shipping.
But eventually the PayPal process seems to be working. PayPal got an authorization from Sears, I am set up for a refund in the shipping. It hasn't been resolved yet but I have good expectations.
Thank goodness for PayPal.
BUT DON'T EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SEARS ONLINE OR ITS 3RD PARTY SELLERS. It's set up to rip you off if they fail in their product delivery.

Pray that whatever you purchase from them will never have problems. I bought my laundry W/D combo last year in Jan. My laundry washer broke down.
Called Sears to have it fixed on Sep 3.
The techs x2 came to evaluate it with barely any PPE on Sep 17. Was informed by them that they need parts.
2 of 3 parts were delivered. 3rd part on back order.
Today, Oct 19, still without resolution. Was put on hold when I called *******655 for 3 hours and 4 minutes only to be told that they will "escalate" the issue and have someone call me back within 2~3 business days. Will be demanding a new W/D combo replacement or I'm getting legal involved. Case number: *******

Fixing my dishwasher has become an ordeal!
October 12, 2020

Sears customer service is not what it used to be. I called Sears to come out to fix my dishwasher it was gonna be expensive so I got a master protection program (after talking to six people)and my technician had his manager call and order the parts. So when I called this morning to find out where the parts were at, because I wasn't getting an email letting me know, they said there were no parts ordered. Now they're telling me that when the technician comes out this Friday which was supposed to be the day that he was supposed to have the parts and fix it now he can order the parts. And then make another appointment to come back and fix it. I will never buy another appliance from Sears again. If he doesn't have the parts on his truck when he comes out I will cancel the master protection program and buy a dishwasher from Lowe's. Sears is not the same company it was years ago, we have always bought our appliances from Sears. Now they just suck!

Sears Stoop to New Low!
October 2, 2020

Sears has stooped to a new low: scamming folks out of thousands using the $179 air duct cleaning service to enter your home and rip you off to the tune of two to over five thousand dollars. First they will take a picture of the interior air handler unit and show you all this dust, then they start the pitch: promise to clean your complete system. They do not answer to the Better Business, Business Consumer Alliance, nor Attorney General Consumer Complaint. Shame on you - Sears!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
September 28, 2020

I have a Samsung washing machine that when the electrical timer goes to the last 8-9 minutes to spin it goes back to the rinse cycle. I called Sears for service maintenance. I scheduled an appointment and when the service tech came he stated that I needed a part to make the machine work.

He stated that if I did not order the part from him at that moment, when he comes back again it will be a new service charge. I ordered the part and paid for the service call. It came out to $204.65. I waited about 1 week and the part arrived. A different service tech came. The second service tech stated I would need another THREE parts for a total of over $700 before he could repair the machine! I refused to pay it and also refused to give him the part I paid back, since he would not repair the washing machine. SEARS sent me a credit for the part for $69.49.

This is not the first time I had an experience with the Sears repair service. Several years ago, my wife had Sears Repair Service come to repair a washing machine and they did they same thing. The washing machine was never fixed and she ordered the parts for it.

Another company is using the Sears name to lull consumers into using them. Then, they say you have to order parts to fix the appliance. But they never fix the appliance. I advise all consumers that have appliances to STAY AWAY FROM SEARS! IT IS NOT THE SAME COMPANY THAT YOU KNEW BEFORE! A NEW COMPANY DOING THE SO CALLED REPAIRS AND STEALING PEOPLE'S MONEY! LET THE BUYER BEWARE!

Don't trust them.
August 26, 2020

Thousands of Canadians bought warranties from Sears, right up the time when Sears filed for bankruptcy. Sears refused to refund the poor "suckers". Sears knew exactly what they were doing when they continued to take the customers' hard earned money. Also, if you want to find the worst contractors in town. Easy..., look for the "Sears" logo.

Scammed by sears.com
August 25, 2020

Ordered two products from them back in March. They lied 3 times about the delivery date and NEVER delivered so I cancelled the order. I ask for a refund back. At first they said they had to investigate. Then said it would be 7 to 10 days for the refund. When they did refund my money they only refunded 600 out of the 1800, order. I have contacted them several times. They just keep saying their looking into it and giving me phone numbers that dont work or no one answers. I will never do business with them again and suggest you dont either if you want your product. Or your FULL refund when you dont get it.

Spend your money somewhere else
August 6, 2020

Spend your money somewhere else. Kenmore refrigerator malfunctioned after 5 months. The part is on backorder with NO RESTOCK DATE from the manufacturer. Yet, Sears wants me to wait 30 days to be able to submit a ticket for a replacement. This policy does not work for anyone especially families with young children. The phone support barely speaks English and is indifferent to your problem. Very disappointing experience.

The worst customer service
July 15, 2020

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Mark (who claims to be the manager) was completely unprofessional and unapologetic when our fridge was not delivered as promised. In fact he made no effort to resolve the problem and hung up on me more than once. Incompetent employees who don't care about their customers. It's no wonder they're going out of business. Save yourself some time and money and shop at Fred's Appliance instead. Joe will hook you up with a great deal and a smile.

TERRIBLE - DO NOT USE
July 14, 2020

Worst online shopping experience I have ever encountered. Sad to know that Sears ties their name to this stuff.

I ordered sunglasses only to find out they were not from "Sears" but from a 3rd party vendor. Called immediately to cancel and was told the order had been cancelled. One week later i get a notification a tracking number had been requested to ship? What? Called Sears again and was told it would be cancelled. One week after that I get an email saying the order was shipped? Called Sears again and was told to refuse the shipment. Couldn't get any response from the 3rd vendor via phone or email. Long story short Now I am stuck with glasses and trying to return them

Sears is a jokr
June 25, 2020

So here's a story for you... please bare with me, this is a long Sears appliance review.

So our SEAR'S KENMORE REFRIGERATOR decided to go out the end of May. The temp in the freezer was 60 degrees and we lost just about everything in the fridge and freezer. My husband called on Friday May 29th and the technician came out the following Tuesday. He replaced the compressor and advised it would take 24 to 48 hours to come up to temp. We waited 3 days and still was not working. I got on chat with the service department and they had a date open for June 9 th between 8 and 12. So at 12:30 I got back on chat and they said they had June 24 th because a tech wasn't available for June 9 th. I'm like no one called to let me know and the earliest they had was a June 24th, 3 weeks!. The tech came out and just the day before he did the fridge had come up to temp (3weeks) and made ice. The tech did a reset to the system I paid for an In-depth cleaning, which my husband had already vacuumed and cleaned all that out before he called for the first tech. The tech was very knowledgeable and he actually talked to me.

So this morning we woke up to water leaking out of the fridge. The ice had all melted and the freezer temp was back up to 60 degrees.

So now I'm really ticked off so instead of a chat room, I decided I wanted to talk to a real person, so I called the 800 number and this is how it went:

On hold for 20 minutes to talk to a person who barely spoke english, I had to keep repeating myself and the info in her system was all wrong. She finally got it pulled up and put me on hold for 10 minutes to verify. Then she came back on the line to tell me she had to transfer me to tech support scheduling. On hold for another 30 minutes for tech. She could barely hear me there was so much background noise from other techs on other calls. She kept putting me on hold to review, then chat with scheduling. She comes back with a date of July 17 th. What! Another 3weeks! I told her that was unacceptable I needed someone asap since this was the 3rd call on the fridge. She told me that we could call a repair person and Sears would reimburse us, hahaha. Or we could rent a fridge and they would reimburse us HAHAHAHA. She kept talking over me and not listening. I told her I wanted to talk to a supervisor and again she kept talking over me. I repeated my request several times before she put me on hold. 10 minutes later I get a floor manager that can't help me either and I told him about his very rude service rep he didn't say a word just tells me he is going to transfer me to a person in Benefits Admin. On hold for another 45 minutes. So this person pulls up our info and puts me on hold to review. He comes back on the line and tells me the same thing July 17th is the earliest date available. So of course there was some back forth over the same crap I had already said 2 transfers ago. Stated he would put us on the SOS list. REALLY! Then he said he could send us a check for $115 for mini fridge. Unfreaking believable! I was on the phone for almost 3 hours and transferred 3 times and who cares if we have been without this fridge since the end of May. Oh and to be able to have it replaced we would have to have the same part replaced 4 times within 12 months. How unbelievable is that?

Thank you to the folks who read all the way through and please share to your friends

Run Away From Doing Business WIth Sears
June 11, 2020

My company has been selling on the Sears Marketplace for about 7 years. Sears owes us approximately $1,100 for sales that we have made and they have not paid us for them. We have been trying to resolve the issue with them since February but their Customer Support (ha!) only responds saying that they have forwarded our information to the appropriate department for review and then no one ever contacts us. It has been going on for over 4 months. We have contacted them at least a dozen times and get the same answer. There is no phone # to call and they will not give a phone # to us to call them. We fulfilled our end of the contract and they are keeping our money. Run from doing any kind of business with this company - fast!

I would highly recommend that you stay away from shopping online with Sears. I ordered a small (6 cu ft) freezer from Sears on April 3,2020. I received a receipt confirming the purchase with a delivery date of May 30th. The evening before I got an automated call giving me a delivery time from 12:45 - 2:45. My wife and I were excited that we'd finally get our freezer after waiting 2 months. At 3:00 pm I called customer service and they were clueless after 25 minutes on the phone they told me it wasn't in the warehouse - uh covid19, uh unexpected delays. You'll get a call on Monday or Tuesday to reschedule the delivery. You guessed it no call. Got on the phone again - still clueless. I asked if it had even shipped yet - oh yeah, delivery will call when it gets in. Suspicious of that, I tried the customer service chat. They were very polite and their representative assured me that it had shipped and been delivered to a local warehouse. And to make up for the inconvenience they would take 5% off the price. The rep assured me that I would be contacted within 24 - 48 hours to set up a new delivery date. Shocker! Nobody called. Got on the phone AGAIN and finally pinned the rep down about where my freezer was - it wasn't anywhere because their vendor didn't have one to ship! I canceled my order letting them know I would NEVER shop with Sears again which didn't bother the "customer service" rep at all and he calmly told me that the refund would take 15 - 30 days. Outrageous! Sears will never dig their way out of bankruptcy because the whole company is incompetent! Stay away, you've been warned.

When purchasing a Kenmore, I saw a label that showed the LG Compressor was guaranteed for 10 years. The salesman pushed that fact during the sale as well. The problem is that that's ONLY a sticker, and it does NOT reflect the quality nor the lifespan of the refrigerator. If you verify the stats, you'll see that the LG compressor breaks down around the 3-5 year period and you'll need to have it replaced. LG will NOT give you a new one, as LG and Sears required that you have a certified HVAC Tech' replace it, which is MORE than the compressor, and most folks choose to get a new fridge than to pay the price and deal with Sears. I called everyone to get a replacement compressor and every time LG did NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANY at all. I even sent supporting evidence that the compressor was shot, and still NOTHING. I'm elderly and disabled now, so every penny counts. They both failed to live up to their hype and warranties. The compressor was drawing so much current that it also damaged the main board in the process. Bad design and a bad deal as it failed around 4 years or so of normal household usage. Under the 10 year LG Compressor Replacement Warranty.
Not worth the frustration and the pain.
