It is t the first time but it's been awhile I thought I'd try the pecan praline cones again. The cones were so tough and chew one had to tear them to get them apart.no joke worst come of all times and left a funny after taste in the mouth. Very disappointed for a $19 box of ice cream comes.would never purchase again horrible.
As a long time Schwan's customer, I saw a very drastic decline in their service and a big increase in prices. When it turned into Yello, the last 2 orders were screwed up because I instructed them I will use my EBT card for payment, and Schwan's always honored that. But with Yello, both times, they whacked my debit card for the full purchase and left me no option to use the EBT card. Before, the delivery driver would swipe my EBT card at the door. Now, they whack your debit/credit card at the time you order it. So, forget about using EBT with this service any longer. And, on top of that, they totally eliminated delivery in my area so now I have to pay $19.99 for delivery and when you top that off with the overpriced food they now offer, I requested them to cancel and delete my long-term, good standing account with them today. Everything changed with the switchover with Yello, and it certainly was not for the better. Schwan's merger with Yellow was the worst thing they could have done.So sad.
Your prices are already above what is normally charged at the grocery stores. I've always allowed this because of the free delivery and quality of the food. However, now you're going to charge me $19.95 for delivery... you can keep your product too!
We've been customers with them for over 20 years and this was the first time I felt really cheated by the products we chose. Specifically, the vanilla sundae cones. The cones themselves are completely flimsy and I realized they don't have that same layer of chocolate holding it together anymore. It's just the cone but it's hard to hold up and gets soggy so quickly. What happened to the quality it use to have? Since the switch to Yelloh, it seems like the quality has taken a dip on some products and it makes me question whether we should keep on ordering the way we do. It's sad because they've been a staple in my household for so long.
I have been a customer of Schwans for most of my life but since the company became Yellow it has become a company I will no longer buy from. The prices were high before and now are ridiculous. The quality has gone down. More dough less meat on the breaded fish,chicken, and Chinese food. It is sad for me to lose Schwans as I live in a rural community and Schwans was always a nice treat.
We have been customers of Schwan's/Yelloh for 30 years.Service and products were always excellent.
Since the sellout, the quality of the products has greatly declined and there is no way to contact anyone for customer service, they have fired everyone and closed the call center,no email or chat support either.
I am mostly concerned about safety of the food. We had very large, sharp splinters on the sticks of the fudge bars in two different orders, very dangerous!
There were foreign objects ( choking hazards) in the California Blend Vegetables and the last order of vanilla ice cream bars had opened and smashed product inside.
Was just told by my delivery driver that in TWO weeks service will stop! Depots are closing in the southern region and 750 people will be jobless. A company that really cares about employees or customers? Nope! Its about money. So sad.
We've been rural customers for years if not decades, and we love our driver, courteous, friendly, on time every time. Come to find out we've been switched to UPS delivery, 2 weeks out, and we're paying $19.95 delivery charge. Guess what? NO WE AREN'T as we're CANCELLING. Terrible, this used to be a great convenience, now it's a rip off.
I have to say my delivery person is excellent and I wouldn't switch to anyone else unless I had to - I've always had great customer service with the delivery people.
I am extremely disappointed by the recipe change for their vanilla ice-cream however. Ever since it changed to "Yellow", I don't think it is as good - it is not as creamy and really tastes like other cheaper ice-creams. The other flavored ice-creams still seem okay and I will continue to order. I haven't noticed a change to my other regular foods either. Please bring back the classic vanilla ice-cream as I will not likely continue to purchase this unless it changes. And if it does change, please alert customers who are like me and are not pleased so we can start to get the ice-cream we so looked forward to. My review for qualify only applies to the vanilla ice-cream.
We had been customers for about 40 years. After the new owners started running the show, our delivery person kept changing. Our last two orders were unilaterally delayed, the second one twice. We dropped this service.
$#*! company. Said they would be here between 9am and 12pm still waiting and it's almost 5pm. Will never order from them again.
The company changed ownership and now the name. Service was and is their business but I guess they forgot about that. Was overcharged and customer service could not figure it out even after 20 minutes. Nordstrom prices with Kmart Service
This company is a joke, I scheduled a delivery for the time frame 3-6pm. This company never shows up and never call, then I call the the number to figure out it is an outsource customer service. Korean con artists is what this company is.

You have a Great product I have eaten for years, change your name to Yelloh and products taste goes downhill. You lost me as a customer like all the 1 Star reviews everyone is giving you.
Been a loyal customer for twenty years and have still ordered when paying delivery fee or when gas fee went up twice but went to make order at new residence just as they were switching over to Yellow! Completely and found out they are tacking on a $9.99 service fee for no good reason nor did they warn their customers. I only get a couple things a couple times a month and after paying other fees there's no way I'm sticking around to pay this crazy fee. Enjoyed chicken strips but everything else has been replaced with cheaper quality anyways. I'll go back to grocery store for my chicken! Wouldn't advise ordering

A. Schwan's family, Marshall MN, not Bloomington, so sad that you felt the need to sell to a foreign company that does not know our American values, nor does it care. You were a well-established wonderful company with delicious product and exceptional employees serving their customers with mid-west pride!
B. The new owner's used the wonderful Schwan's name in attempt to retain business.
1. Took our delivery truck away using COVID as an excuse forcing us to order on-line using UPS for delivery.
2. Forced us to pay for delivery.
3. Took away Reward credits.
4. Initially shipped in Styrofoam and sufficient dry ice which seemed acceptable. Now some type of Styrofoam substitute and insufficient amount of dry ice. Numerous orders melted/thawed. Not to mention UPS absolute worst delivery method.
5. And now the quality of the product has gone downhill. REALLY, after all these years of success you think you can change and retain your customers.
My first taste of Schwan's Vanilla Ice Cream - 1969 South Dakota! Addicted! Devoted customer 1980's - 1990's Arizona. Late 1990's- 2017 South Dakota. 2017 until now New Mexico. Nothing was more comforting than seeing the friendly fulfilling yellow truck pulling into your driveway. I'm afraid it gone... first the truck, then the product...
Not good food no more pizza was terrible and tasted like garbage and not ordering more and never again and just garbage and all of it
My chicken cor Don blue boxes were obviously wet at some point the boxes were soggy and had Ice all over.I was also charged a delivery fee when I made an order because he was in the neighborhood already. I didn't call or ask for service today he just popped in so why was I changed a fee? Customer service would rather loose a long-term customer than refund that fee.I will take my hard earned money elsewhere
I have been a customer of Schwan's in pretty much every state that we have lived in. Now since Schwan's has changed it just isn't worth it anymore. The items have doubled in price and they got rid of the Rewards Program which was very much worth ordering from Schwan's. Especially for us seniors on a fixed income! The new ordering system is a crock of crap! Just cannot afford to order from Schwan's anymore.
Answer: Very slow contact response. I spent several hours communicating my issues to them. Was not provided an acceptable resolution so I just canceled my orders and won't buy from them again.
