Sandblasting is not Rocket Science, it is a very simple straight forward process, so it is even more surprising that someone could mess it up so badly like they did.
I went there in Oct. 2021with some Motorcycle parts, like frame, rim´s and footpads, so the demanded job was very simple, remove the old paint job and some light rust on the surface of the Mainframe.
Four week´s later they informed me that the job was done and i could pick up the parts at their shop…boy was i surprised as i saw the result,
They clearly failed to understand what the customer wanted from them to do with the parts,
Clean them, paint them… that was the job description! Very Simple.
You can see the result in the attached pictures,
The original paint ( it was Red) on the rims shines thru so heavily that it´s impossible to overlook.
The Job they did on the frame is even worse,
It should be Silver, but the spray paint coat is so thin and uneven that you can see the Spraycoat Primer on almost 60 % of the frame surface, plus several spot´s of rust which still remains even after the sandblast job, which would be impossible if they did a proper work on the part! …there still a few spot´s with remaining rust.
But what really pisses me off was the reaction to my complaint from the owner…first they apologized, then they try to play it down with comments like; if you feel that the parts need a
Re work, just come by and we will take a look at them
To discuss further actions…?! What is there to discuss?!
They did a bad job in booth section, first the sandblasting was messed up, and after that the powder coating which was equally bad...
What is the thought process here, that i drove back and forth several time and waste nearly 7 hour´s of my time because of their failure!? …without any compensation?
If they failed the first time, you could not expect that they will do a better job the second time, what kind of behavior is that?
…and how many try´s do they need to do a proper job?!
If you make an error, you have to admit it, and not play it down like they did and blame the customer for it, who paid you to do a proper job in the first place, which you did not!
That is not the right way to operate a business.
Can i recommend it? No!
