I placed an order with RetroGameRepairShop in October 2025 for a custom-printed GBA SP shell, a screen, some buttons and some other small stickers/accessories.
After 1 month of hearing nothing, I got in contact with support. They got back to me quickly and told me there had been an issue with my design for the shell. I gave them an updated design and they confirmed that this one would work.
Another month passed with me hearing nothing...
I got in contact with support again, and I finally get the notification that I've got a package heading for me! When I open it, its ONLY the custom printed shell, no sign of the various other items in my order.
I get into contact with support AGAIN, and they tell me to take it up with their underwriter (Route). I spend hours trying to convice the route AI bot that I did indeed fail to recieve the items, only to find out that I was ineligible for protection because they only cover lost/stolen items in transit and RetroGameRepairShop just never sent them in the first place.
Now I'm in a stalemate with support. They just keep saying that they are escalating the situation with Route, while I want either my items or a refund. I can only assume that they are trying to stall out the chargeback window, which I am now attempting to pursue.
Wouldn't touch this company with a 10ft barge pole in the future.
