They didn't do anything to repair my credit, I did it. I had a loan with them for almost 5 years and their credit card as well. It takes them two months to report any payment you make to them, because this is not reported to the Credit Bureaus it affects your credit rating. You will have multiple conversations with them every month about the inaccurate reporting on their online portal, and you will see five months of payments that have not been records and outstanding balances that are always wrong. They PAY YOU NO interest on your money, you pay them. I have finally decided to cancel my card, I make multiple payments every month, it takes them 7 - 10 days to MANUALLY record any payment you make, there online portal does not work to let you pay them you have to do it through your bank. Now the card is cancelled I have to wait for 60 days to get my money back but it was only going against outstanding balance and my outstanding loan both of these do not total the $1,000.00 but you have to make your payments to them for the next 60 days OR they will report you to the credit bureau. You will have trouble using their chip card at some retailers, and you also can't use it for many places on line.

The worst of the worst and then some.
I closed my accounts and recently, by accident, made a payment to my closed credit card. I have reached out to them, as would be expected, no one replied to my request.
All i want is for my money to be returned to me. Yes it was my mistake however, the money sent to them does not belong to them. Time to get legal beagle! Going to make negative posts on every on line platform possible.

I applied in May to refresh financial to boost my credit score. After finding out how much they charge I cancelled the pre-authorized debit and even closed the account the money was supposed to come out of. 2 days later I checked my other account and to my surprise they took it out of that account. After having an argument with the rep I soon got a phone call from someone in collections over a 5 year old debt. Does not take a genius to figure out how they got my phone number. A day later I checked my credit score and because of Refresh Financial I lost 35 points on my credit score. Trust me they will take your money one way or another and screw with your life.

I have taken a loan with their ridiculous interest rate. The problem all began when their system showing incorrect amount paid by me. I event sent multiple emails with screenshots and called them a 100 times. Those people dont have basic math capability to understand how addition works.
STAY AWAY from them in you dont want to call their customer service every single day.

Was looking to rebuil my credit score and after some research Refresh Financial was always mentioned. I called them up and after talking to one of their representatives I decided to open an account. I had a loan and their secure credit card. Let me tell you that this was the worst experience I've ever had and it was a very short one. After making three payments biweekly for the loan something looked wrong in the report through their application. Here's when it all started to go downhill. Tried to contact them by phone and woaw good luck to get in touch with anyone. After countless hours of waiting through a few days of calling them I managed to cancel the loan and the credit card. In total I paid 136$ towards the loan and the equity they gave me back was 43$ even though the application was saying I had 56$ in equity. The cherry on top was when I got the email confirming the cancellation of the credit card. It mentionned that my deposit has a 90 days hold period during which I will still be charged for the monthly charges. After 90 days they will "mail" me a refund of my security deposit minus any unpaid balances on my card if I don't pay them. Did I mention that at that point I haven't even received my card yet? What a scam. I don't even know how this company still exists. Don't belive all those BS positive reviews on their website. Stay away from this company and save your money. I would give them -5 stars if I could. Oh and last point coincidence or not my credit score actually went down for no reason not too long after I started my account with them. Waste of time and money. STAY AWAY!

Refresh is a very untrustworthy company. I have called and asked for my account to be cancelled to which the CSR agreed to do so. I have been using this service for a year and paying $49 bi-weekly. They charge $25 if you miss a payment, even if you call in advance to let them know. You're basically paying them $500+ in admin fees to keep your money and report your payments to the credit burreau. You're better of paying a phone or utility bill
be honest.

I asked for my acccount to be closed and the CSR said it was done. But I'm still getting charged and my account is still open. I've built up over $300 in equity and I have a feeling they're not going to be giving me back my money so easily.

I need my account closed! I no longer want to deal with this company! They are fraudulent and need to be reported.

I purchased a $1,000 Refresh Finanacial Visa & two $10,00 loans with Refresh Finanacial and I have had the product for over 6 months and on the Equifax my score went down -1 to -2 points each report update. On TransUnion I improved a total of +29 points for six months. The problem is that is the person promised me that I will improve +10 points a month for one loan and if I have two loans it should be around +18 points a month and so they did not even come close to delivering on their promise. I paid them over $2,000 in decrease my credit score one Equifax and barely improve my score on TransUnion.

I feel that I got scammed because I was lied to and they did not deliver on their promise and I have them $2,000+ for the loans and also had a $1,000 Refresh Financial Visa and my score dropped consistently on one credit agency and the credit agency nearly moved up. I did the math and I paid $125 for each positive point on my credit score and about half I would have gotten organically and on the other credit agency I spend $125 for each -1 point on my credit. I never even came close to hitting +18 points in a moth like I was "promised"!

Do not trust anything they say and do not use them, I highly do not recommend these guys! They will make promises to you but do not deliver on them and you will be stuck paying thousands for nothing.

What this credit card offers is nothing at all compared to capitol one. Do not make this mistake and sign up with this credit card company. This is a secured credit card that will not work for you at all: I've had about 10 places declined my credit card with refresh financial and cdbank over the one month period I was with them. I have been patient and tried to let them solve these problems but they always end up just saying "we will call you back" and they never follow up on anything. None of the issues have been solved. You can't buy things on amazon, you can't use it to pay for your phone, you can send money using western union, you can't even order an uber to drive you. There are many credit card companies out there and this is by far the worst. They tell me things like "you can't use this to pay for your fiances' phone, because it's not the phone registered with us. They don't listen when I try to explain, and when I told them I am leaving and they couldn't care less. They never tried to keep me as a customer. They prey on people with credit card debt, or who are looking for the best first credit card, and they advertise themselves as that. But they forget to mention that you will be restricted almost everywhere because no one accepts them as a valid credit company. They will tell you "just be patient with us until and send us copies of where you were declined". Do they think I work for them or something? The frustration it caused me, and the amount of time I wasted talking to them, they have never compensated for. And guess what, you want to cancel with them? 60 days until you get your money back. So if you were like me, and were looking to apply for a credit card with bad credit, stay away from refresh financial! Oh, and did I mention that you can only pay your credit card bill via e-transfers? And you can't even check your balance, you have to call them. Or as they told me once, I can call the bank issuing the cards and PAY 10 cents every time I check my balance. Their guaranteed credit card approval does not compensate for any of this. I feel ripped off, lied to, and I will make sure everyone I know hears about it and stays away from that credit card company. They are at the bottom of the list.
