"Sorry, we do not have anything that fits your demographic or family information"
But I haven't provided anything but my name and email address.
Reply to the Scammer on Reddit "Hey, what gives, how can I be rejected based on data you do not have on me, unless you've stolen it previously".
"you must have signed up before"
"Nope"
"Well, email us a ticket"
"OK"
Allegedly human response to the ticket that specifically says I've given them nothing by my email and name
"Sorry, we do not need your demographic currently, please try our next round and we'll keep you on file"

This is what's called phishing.

Let's see I used to get surveys and would be able to fill them out completely. Now I've gotten. 3 surveys and wasn't able to complete any of them. Either because the survey never loaded or it kicked me out from the survey. So quite frankly this company has gone downhill. I'm not sure if it's their website or the people behind the company. They aren't willing to fix anything because I've told them and they say it's my fault. Why I can't complete any of the surveys. It isn't my fault at all they just don't want to listen to anyone.

I had done Pinecone since 2016 and quit 2023. I stopped doing surveys and product testing for pinecone this year. Fewer opportunities, quality of the surveys, very reduced incentive, product testing dropped from $30 to $3, but they still wanted hours of detail work. A problem plagued website that would go offline while trying to complete an assignment, inadequately sized and survey images with illegible fuzzy text. Worst was anemic support responses. Support shrugs and comments "better luck next time".

Pinecone also capriciously decides that they don't need you, but provides no indication that you're cut off.

If pinecone underwent a reprioritization, I reconsider.

After completing 3 surveys and getting paid the grand total of $9 for them, Pinecone Research decided to cancel my account AFTER I submitted my 4th review and was owed $3 for it. Their excuse was that I was untruthful and their software picked it up, without being able to provide further details or insights. So I basically spent 20 minutes of my time, submitted info as complete and as truthful as there could possibly be, to be thrown out of their site with zero evidence there was something wrong with my survey. On top of all that, they have no contact phone number, and all their emails come from the same generic alias, "Karen Scott" What a complete SCAM

Once I have turned 80 and recent widow I am constantly told I do not qualify for a survey. I am told this over and over again however, I take surveys on a couple of other apps, and I'm rarely told this. I am still mentally competent, have a wide range of interest, have 10 grand children. But somehow I never qualify for a survey with Pinecone. I have decided I'm going to withdraw and remove their app from my phone. Just a waste of my time.

Based upon my experience with Pinecone Research, I have found them to be biased. Before even getting any additional information from me, they rejected me simply because of my birth date. When I wrote them to complain, I did not receive any explanation nor apology, just a general statement that they will not be keeping my account information. Companies like this should have higher equality standards, especially in this day and age where we are such a diverse planet.

They just give you robotic answers when you ask why there are no surveys available. They just ignore more requests of why. Stay away as they just want to steal your time.

I absolutely LOVE the way this company is doing product evaluation and testing. The surveys are basically the same every time so you know what to expect in terms of questions and time required to complete them. They pay the same every time, and instead of most sites where it's like $0.01 for taking a 45-minute survey, they give you $3 for usually less than 15 minutes of your time. Best of all-- You don't have to go through an hour of qualification questions just to get told you don't qualify or earn anything! The money adds up quickly and I've earned $100-200 each year from this. Probably one of the best side cash apps out there that doesn't violate your privacy or ask suspicious questions. I've even been sent several products to try out, which is super cool and fun, and can earn you more money sometimes. And it's fun to go to a store and be like, "I helped product test that thing!"
Yes, the website and app especially can be buggy, but I've never had any serious problems. They don't really have a limit on what you can cash out after the first time, so I usually just do it about every $15-24 just in case something does happen with their website. You can also buy things with points but I prefer the flexibility of currency. They don't have Paypal cash-out anymore, which is sad, especially since the other alternatives can take quite a while longer, but they have other good options too. I've used the virtual wallet, and while it does take extremely long to work, it does work. Karen Scott is usually pretty good about answering questions and helping with issues as well over email.
So yeah, more of a review of the company than the app, but if they just had better developers, this could easily be the best (and actually legit) side cash and product-testing app out there. Just so many good things to say about the company, despite its weaknesses in programming.

This is a great site... once I finished the profile they've only sent me surveys that I'm qualified for already so there's no wasting your time doing 80% of the survey to just get kicked out with no reward. They are fast to pay out to my paypal and never play around about it, I cash in and I get paid no waiting 2-3 weeks to get it. The only down side is because they only send you surveys that you qualify for it's kinda slow getting them.

Several months back I spent about 45 minutes to an hour applying fo be a panel member. I answered all their questions honestly & was excited at the end that it said I was accepted as a panel member. I took screen shots with my phone of this confirmation so I'd have proof for later just in case, but didn't think I'd need it. The site I found out about Pine Cone Research said they'd send an email confirmation that I was accepted & then at some point after that I'd begin to get surveys.
This was literally 3 months ago & I have received zero communication from them. I've contacted them several times with no response. The other reviews say this is a good legit company but my experience is the complete opposite. So I'd warn you to not waste your time applying to be a possible member. There's no guarantee you'll get accepted anyway & when you actually do get 'accepted' like I did, you may never hear from them. This is a very poor way to do business & Pine Cone needs to either just deny people into their membership or actually contact the people who've given their time & been accepted into their program.
