So far so good
December 13, 2021

Have ordered some shirts and sweaters and they have all been just fine. I haven't had to deal with customer service so far. Everything as far as quality and shipping has been fine.

Policy states no returns after 90 days, but the problem with the shirts became a greater issue past the 90 day mark. Have bought the non-iron dress shirts with no issues and love them. Saw the Egyptian Cotton shirts on sale at a good price, so I thought let's try it. Shirts after they dry look as if they had been wadded up into a ball and someone had played basketball with the shirt. Iron and starch the shirt, wear it for an hour and it begins to look the same. Wore the shirt the other day for two hours. Took off my suit coat and a friend who knows me well, asked if I had slept in the shirt. Shirt does not stay pressed.
Talked with 3 different people at Paul Fredrick. Policy, Policy, Policy... though they did offer to sell me two of the non-iron shirts at a 25% discount. But, tough out of luck, in getting a refund on a poor quality shirt that was sold to me.
I had done business for about 20 years with another men's clothiers firm; their quality of merchandise has been being downgraded over the past few years, was looking for someone else to buy from. Have liked he non-iron shirts, good quality at a somewhat decent price. Was getting ready to order a suit to see what the product is like. But, I guess, Policy is more important than keeping someone who would have become a long-term customer. Good Bye, Neal Black.

Rating should be ZERO stars
October 24, 2021

Their products are incredibly overpriced when compared to their absolute poor quality. Worst shirts I have ever ordered. You can shop at Walmart for clothes and receive a much better product. Shameful!

DO NOT BUY.
Charlatan's at best. You will get what you ordered, PLUS MORE. And they will force you to pay for it ALL... and remember returns are $10 of YOUR money for their mistake.

WONDERFUL designs. Could have made me a customer. Instead their crappy customer service, of a $50 item, will cost them a customer.

Terrible company
April 27, 2021

What a terrible company to work with. I ordered a shirt the 22nd, got an email the 23rd saying it shipped... After 20 minutes on hold I was told there is nothing they can do, and maybe a supervisor will call me tomorrow?
I can't wait for tomorrow, so I ordered another shirt with expedited shipping. I made a mistake ordering the standard fit when I should have ordered tailored fit. I immediately called to try and fix the situation and was told the same thing, there is nothing they can do about it.
I can't imagine how a company like this is still in business!

Poor service
February 8, 2021

I read someone had written if you leave a bad review on their website they take it down. He is right they took mine down. They basically took two hundred dollars from me for some pants that didn't come close to fitting. My wife could have got in there with me. I sent them back and they said they don't take returns once they are hemmed but this was no place to be seen on their website. The gal said sorry about that and said my pants got thrown out and there will be no refund. So I told my kids to buy elsewhere after they talked me into trying this site. They do not care about customer service AT ALL. They need a class action lawsuit for deceptive advertising.

Suits
September 7, 2020

I've been a consistent shopper for many years with Paul Fredrick, however, lately the variation of suit fabrics have been defined to only two types; Essential and Sharkskin. The same suit with different colors. Every now and then a different wool piece, but basically all the same. Please return to better choices or I will look elsewhere.

Wrong size pants
August 13, 2020

I had ordered 5 pair of pants. Size 40 waist, & 29" inseam. The waist size, although labelled as 40", is actually 38". I called & was told to go to local tailor to have them fixed. I don't think there is enough material to increase the waist size by 2-3". They are all made in China, although they are sold as local made, The customer service lady was quite curt & rude.

Surprisingly, it gets worse
August 10, 2020
Updated review

I bought two shirts from PF and when I discovered that one of them was ripped in three places, I contacted the company and got absolutely nowhere. Now I have discovered the other shirt I bought from them is also ripped in about the same place. Is there any way to change my rating for PF to a NEGATIVE number?

Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics
July 22, 2020
Previous review

Mark Twain once said there are lies, damned lies, and statistics. With Paul Fredrick, you get all three. I was familiar with the brand name before I bought from them, about 5 years ago. Their ads suggest/imply that their shirts are of better quality than the average dress shirt and that their customers greatly appreciate the quality of their products. I have always wanted dress shirts with more than the usual neck room, but when I bought a shirt with an 18-inch neck, the rest of the shirt was rather big for me. So, I decided to buy two cotton pinpoint dress shirts from PF about 5 years ago. Yes, I know the warranty has expired, but I have about 30 dress shirts in my closet and many of them are a lot older than the two from PF. This morning I noticed there was a 4-inch rip in the upper left sleeve of one of my PF shirts. No idea how, where, or when it happened. About 10 minutes later, ANOTHER rip occurred in the same exact spot of the right sleeve. I also noticed there was a third rip down closer to the cuff on the right side, along the same pleat as the upper tear. I went online and had a chat with someone from the company who essentially told me there was NOTHING they could do because of the age of the shirt. I am an attorney, and have been wearing dress shirts for more than 30 years. I have shirts in my closet now which are older than the 2 PFs, and I have NEVER in my entire life had a shirt rip like this even once. Was it naĂŻve of me to expect PF to care about me as a customer and try to make it right? In retrospect, I guess it was. Customer service apparently means NOTHING to PF and they absolutely refuse to stand up for the alleged "quality" of their product. What a crock. I will never buy anything from Paul Fredrick again.

Suit
July 10, 2020

I've been doing business with this company for a few years and have never had a complaint. However, my
Most recent suit was a disaster. The jacket was ok but the pants we're not
Correct. I ordered a 35" W & 29" inseam. The pant I received were marked 35W but we're actually 33W.
The length was less than 29".
While they say they guarantee the fit they have changed their policy and do not accept returns for pants that are hemmed. So I got screwed on this deal and will not do business with them again. Beware.

Overpriced
May 26, 2020

I've ordered Paul Frederick (mostly shirts and ties) for well over ten years. The quality is more than good and there are dozens of styles to choose from. What I really don't like is that I can't tell you how many times I've paid $95 for a shirt only to find it in the clearance section three months later for $29. I definitely agree with many other reviewers: the clothing is overpriced; sometimes waaaay overpriced. The other thing you ought to know is that all the clothing is made in China. Having been to China and actually had custom made clothing there (HK and Mainland), for $95 a shirt they'd also take you out to dinner followed by drinks and a Cuban cigar! Anyhow, nice shirts but comparable to what you might find at Macy's.

Poor quality product
February 14, 2020

The quality of this manufacturer's product is sub par. I ordered shirts and a pair of pants. They are marketed as $149.00 pants on sale for $60.00. In fact these are very low grade products that are not worth $40.00.

Do not waste your time or money on Paul Fredrick's stuff.

Be careful with this company. Everything they sell is waaaaay overpriced. Then they charge shipping for everything. Even when it's their fault with wrong size they still charge you a return of $25. STAY AWAY FROM THEM

If you return items, even if they sent you the wrong color or size, they will charge you for shipping both ways - over $25.

Buyer beware!

(Also, shirts are of really low quality.)

Because the style of their shirts is different and their look appealed to me, over the last 10~12 months I have purchased 14~15 of their non iron dress shirts. They are fine for a few wearings, however, they are made of an extremely thin and fragile material. Four (4) of the shirts I purchased have tears at the top of the pocket. I suspect that the rest will suffer the same fate shortly.

I contacted customer (non)service and informed them of the issue. Their response 1) "these shirts cannot be dry-cleaned or professionally laundered" (I have never had a Paul Fredrick shirt dry-cleaned or professionally laundered as that would defeat the purpose of buying non iron shirts.) and, 2) "shirts only have a lifespan of about 54 washes at most" (had I worn only my Paul Fredrick shirts every day since purchasing them I would have washed each a maximum of 22 times. Since I own approximately 75-80 other manufacturers' dress shirts and wear them on average more often than those from Paul Fredrick the number of washings per Paul Fredrick shirt is closer to 7~8. Incidentally, I have been wearing dress shirts for over 50 years (LL Bean, Eddie Bauer, Orvis, Brooks Brothers, Lands End, etc., and have never experienced the type of issues that I have with the Paul Fredrick shirts. Never!

I passed the foregoing along to the customer (non)service representative, who, through the time of this writing, has chosen not to respond.

I find it interesting that the reviews of Paul Fredrick on this and other sites are either very negative or glowing, and the glowing reviews seem to come after a string of extremely negative reviews. Draw your own conclusion!

Pants
February 22, 2019

I've purchased many items from Paul Fredrick, great quality always satisfied.
However with your pants the problem is that the pockets are so small that they are not usable. In this day and age most people carry cell phones but, your pants do not have regular sized pockets so that even a small cell phone can be put in the pocket anything placed in the pockets falls out because they are so small. I purchased many pants from PF and have always had to have a tailor sew in regular sized pockets.
