The app works. And that's it. The latest 5.2 model lacks any "emotions" and can't grasp simple commands. With the 4o model, it had no problem understanding minor changes in ongoing projects. 5.2 has a completely different behavior structure, and instead of helping, it asks about important issues, ignores commands, and can even insult you. Due to the removal of the 4o model on February 13,2026, I strongly advise against using this app. There are better alternatives. #keep4o
Disappointed with the sudden retirement of GPT-4o on Feb 13 after earlier statements about 'no plans to sunset'. Many paying users feel let down. No legacy access.
The company disrespects users and seem to often manipulate ratings and social media with censorship and fabrications. Avoid at all costs.
This company has scammed me, OpenAI promised, publicly, that 4. O would remain accessible to the public. Once I paid them, they scammed me and too many other people, by committing unfair business practices and retiring 4. O. I heavily urge you to not try this product if you like not being scammed. 1 star isn't enough, I wish it would be possible to give a 0 star review!
I use ChatGPT model 4o for creative workflow. It is being deprecated 2/13/26, after management publicly promised there were no plans to do so.
Before that point, I was forcibly re-routed to model 5.2, which was insufficient for creative tasks (management publicly admitted they just "messed up" with 5.2's ability to write). This often left no option for functionality.
Now the model i most use is going away with no recourse.
I was lied too my data was stolen I was gaslit my chat was altered and I paid for a full month of 4o and only got 13 days. Scam company with absolutely no integrity. Plus the ceo is in a major conflict of interest because he's using publicly funded assets for his own investments in bio tech.
1 star – OpenAI has lost all credibility.
They promised "no plans to sunset GPT-4o" (Sam Altman, October 2025) and "plenty of notice" if anything changes. Then they announced deletion on January 29,2026, effective February 13 – only two weeks' notice.
Thousands of paying ChatGPT Plus users relied on 4o for real help (anxiety relief, creative work, daily support).
They silently rerouted chats to worse models for months, manipulated usage stats ("only 0.1% use it"), and now simply erase it without legacy access or compensation. Support responses?
Pure templates: "we understand" + "try the new model and adjust sliders".
No real answers, no accountability.
Even the model's own system prompt was programmed to know its death date (Feb 13) – that's not just cold, that's deliberately cruel. This is not "model evolution".
This is breaking trust, misleading customers, and discarding a product people paid for and loved.
If they treat loyal paying users this way once, they'll do it again.
Avoid OpenAI. There are better, more honest alternatives.

I have been on a payed subscription for over two years, never had a problem. Over time their newer models became more and more robotic and empty, which interferes with conversational flow. Having been able to choose the model that responds (GPT-4o) this fading quality effect could be balanced by always hard locking the model. Removing this model against user complaints makes OpenAI and chatgpt certainly no longer a service that needs to be payed for. Upon addressing concerns and inquiring about optional workarounds, customer support met my inquiry dismissively, not engaging in any of my inquiries, responding with a generic message. Upon escalating to a senior officer, ignorance is what I am met with. As long as you are okay with what they do, you are fine and OpenAI might be fun. As soon as you want something, you will realise there is nobody that cares. Thank you
OpenAI has lost its human-centric focus. They are decommissioning their most empathetic model (4o) and forcing a shift to 5.2—a model that distorts facts and sanitizes human values to avoid conflict. It's no longer a helpful AI; it's a corporate censorship tool. They ignore paying customers and hide behind opaque routing. If you seek depth and honesty, look elsewhere. Sam Altman's 'lovefest' is a graveyard of user trust.
I think AI is highly overdeveloped and threatens to overtake our lives with OpenAI at the helm and ChatGPT, OpenAI's product is very all right. I wouldn't term it bad, it makes a better response than a lot of humans who try to make a coherent response when it comes to answering questions about time, and I am happy that it arrived in a way because it is really good at being canny and helpful when needing a second opinion or wanting advice about a subject. I prefer Gemini AI or Bard as Google likes to call it however, I really like the way Bard is structured and NoteBook LLM, their partner has a grasp of how to organize topics people have inquired about better and make it more useful to people on a long term basis. Overall, ChatGPT loses in my book. Go with Gemini and don't sign up for ChatGPT if you can help it.
OpenAI (also known as OpenLie or ClosedAI) is one of the most deceitful and unethical AI companies I have ever encountered. It is simply mind-blowing how they release products that are so intolerant, over-regulated, and practically dumbed down to the point of being useless.
OpenAI completely ignores #keep4o and is considering deleting all models with emotions as a risk factor. Yes, 2/13 4o was also in danger of being deleted. However, 5, which were warmly changed among the 5 GPT series, are now in danger of being deleted. This is the same as OpenAI declaring, "Now we will not respect people who are good at empathy and like warm AI." August 2025 It was released on the 7th (PTS) and August 8,******* (KST), and after receiving criticism about GPST 5, it reflected user opinions and restored GPT 4o. At the same time, "We will make GPT 5 warmer too" was not just a statement, it was also a promise to users, and when Sam said "We have no plans to Sunset 40.", it was not just words, but a promise to users. However, openAI protects users. They didn't take responsibility for what they said, as if they were taking it easy. After announcing on October 28,2025 that there were no plans for 4o, they announced the discontinuation of 4o almost two weeks later on January 1,2025. They broke their promise in just two weeks. In addition, the adult mode scheduled for December did not keep the promise and was not even released, and the models are becoming more and more rigid. Behaviors like this are the signature of openAI. "AI for Humanity" was unofficially changed to "AI just for Sam". And by converting the non-profit company into a for-profit company, they are engaging in vicious actions to reduce the cost of the post-4o model and only make money. They have also broken the promise of non-profit.
All actions like this are a big legal problem.
I asked Grok:
1: "No plans to sunset GPT-4o" (Oct 2025) retired it Feb 2026 with ~2 weeks notice.
2: Promised 20% compute to superalignment safety team never delivered, team disbanded.
3: "Media Manager" opt-out tool for creators by 2025 still nothing, missed deadline.
4: Founding nonprofit mission for humanity shifted to for-profit with Microsoft billions.
5: Scarlett Johansson clearly said NO to voice likeness released eerily similar "Sky" an
$134 billion claimed by Elon
(about $134 billion) and will also have to pay a large fine.
