Decent brush
Great brush. No complaints
All that is required to fix the thread problem is to glue the adapter to the brush with JB Weld. This makes it secure and eliminates the issue. When the brush wears out, the adapters can be removed, cleaned and reused.
This is a great brush but has the thread issue others have mentioned. I used a 3/4 paddle bit to make the hole slightly bigger. I then just screwed in the handle which will make a new thread on the brush. I then added a set screw just in case. It's been doing great. So don't buy the adaptor. If they resolve the thread issue I'll give it 5 stars.
Not designed for the self serve bays. Will not fit brush handle without adaptor, which is the same as standard broom handle thread. This is a very coarse thread that will continually come loose even with lock-tight and a set screw. Therefore a mentally impaired (junkie) self-serve customer will continue to brush their car without noticing the brush head had fallen off of the handle which will cost you $400 to paint the customers hood. Therefore eliminating the initial monetary saving of this brush over the standard brushes we have trusted the last 40 years. This brush would be Good for homeowners or occasional use.
Works really well for bug prep, isn't aggressive on cars like the green brushes. Held up for 6 months of daily uses with no problems!
Customers didn't really care for these as much as the 4" hog hair ones we previously used.
Plastic head thread strip out,Brush came off scratched a man's paint job bought 5 had to replace all of them Will not buy again 3/09/2020
I will give five star for the hair it really close to hog hair but the thread on the head that connect to the handle make from plastic or fiber it complete worn out after couple months used so because that I will give 2 star for this brush. By the way if they can solve the connection problem I still will buy it on the future because the hog hair brush is really expensive and I glad they can make something similar and cheaper.
I really like these brushes nice and full, and really holds foam
I agree with James. Been in the self service wash for 30 years and this is the best all around brush I've seen. I've only used hog hair brushes for many years because I will not use the nylons on my own vehicle so I don't expect customers to use them either. These are less than half the price of round hogs hair brushes, just as soft, larger and stronger. The only "drawback" which is really just a small extra step is that the the hole for the handle needs to be tapped to the correct thread size. I got out my tap and die set and voila-foamy brush ready.
