It's a fantastic first shoe for a new walker, but oh how dirty those white rubber tops get! We are happy with the fit (thank you for making a shoe wide enough for my baby's fat feet!) We don't bother with socks and are still able to tug the shoes on without too much trouble, but they mostly stay put once they're on
