The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

The on line live auction was a first for me. The Knight Auction service were incredibly, fast and great to work with. The whole process from bidding, to invoice to working with their Saint shipping dept was fast and prompt to get back to me within a day of my last bid. Awesome experience. Thank you so much!
HIBID functions well and is user friendly. Numerous auctions here us the HIBID platform so it makes it very convenient to find local auctions.
Both Auction i recently bid on the sellers never sent a final invoice of what items i had won. One auction never even sent a final invoice of the cost. One auction stated several times to see the available pick up times but then never listed what the times were.
Before I bid on an item, I had to see if it would allow delivery. And I would click on that check box for delivery. My mailing address is already uploaded, but it's unclear. If they are mailing it to me or not. As if I have to go on my email and check my invoice and reply black to them about me wanting it shipped to my home. At the moment its unclear if any of my won item are being delivered. The bidding on an item process was fine. I feel like my items are not automatically being sent out even though clicked the delivery tab prior to bidding.
I big 750 plus fees. I was charged 2 times over 600 dollars. My card stopped the transaction. I called and the guy could not speak English. So thankful for my credit card stopping the charges.
The diverse auctions, especially that can be bid on from anywhere in the nation and have shipping provided for the items attained in the autction without gouging on the costs to the bidders make this an enjoyable experience!
Thank you for the thoughtful review, Joel! We're glad to hear HiBid auctions can be a highlight of your week and that you enjoy the variety of auctions available from across the country. It’s great that the ability to bid from anywhere and have items shipped has helped make the experience convenient and enjoyable. We appreciate the 4 stars and look forward to seeing you in many more auctions! Happy bidding!
I recently was doing two auctions at once so one on my laptop one on my phone did not break connections or anything and did not have any problems the auctioneers were good and the sale went as planned
Thank you for your review, Timothy! We're glad to hear the platform worked smoothly for you, even while bidding in multiple auctions at the same time across your laptop and phone. It's great that everything stayed connected and the sales went as planned. We appreciate the 4 stars and hope you continue to enjoy bidding on HiBid!
Love the convenience of being able to watch several auctions at once on Hibid. Bid on three different ones this week. Normally pick up all of my stuff but couldn't on one this week. Not loving this new shipping saint thing. Won my auction checked wanted items shipped, they said they would tell me shipping cost but haven't heard back yet and it's been 5 days. DONT like not knowing about where my items are or if they are being considered abandoned. That's the only thing keeping me from bidding again.
Thank you for your feedback, Jacqueline. We're glad to hear you enjoy the convenience of being able to watch and bid in multiple auctions on HiBid at once. We understand how important clear communication is when it comes to shipping and order updates. Since shipping is handled directly by the individual auction company, timelines and processes can vary. If you need help getting in touch with the seller or locating their contact information, our support team would be happy to assist. We appreciate you sharing your experience and hope your next auction goes smoothly.
Overall, everything was fine. I won an item and it was charged on my card, but I have not received an invoice or confirmation other than when I look under my account. I emailed the seller twice and still have not received any response. I've always been sent an invoice before being billed. I know it has to be shipped, and it takes time. I'm just looking for a receipt to my purchase. Thank you.
Thank you for your feedback, Jerry. We're glad to hear your overall experience went well. Invoices and receipts are typically sent directly by the individual auction company, since they handle payment processing and shipping. If you’re still having trouble getting a response, our support team would be happy to help you locate the seller’s contact information or assist however we can. We appreciate the 4 stars and hope you continue to enjoy bidding on HiBid!
It's nice not to have to fight a crowd, stand behind people where you can't see anything. Fight the weather if it's bad. Have several days to think about what you want to bid on or how much you want to bid on it. Only downside is sometimes pictures. Don't tell the whole story. Without being able to touch hold and look over the item you're bidding on.
Thank you for the thoughtful review, Mike! We're glad to hear you enjoy the convenience of participating in auctions from home and being able to follow multiple sales without the crowds or weather. You also make a good point—while photos and descriptions help bidders evaluate items, they’re not always the same as being able to see and handle something in person. We appreciate the 4 stars and hope you continue to enjoy bidding on HiBid. Happy bidding!
The auction I recently participated in was interrupted by a network crash. It happens unfortunately. It was supposed to resume the next day and start where it left off but instead it restarted from the beginning which made for huge confusion. I felt terrible for the Auctioneer. He had to deal with a big mess.
Hi Angelia, we’re sorry to hear about the experience you had during that auction. Technical interruptions can certainly be frustrating for both bidders and auctioneers, and we understand how confusing it can be when a sale doesn’t resume exactly as expected. We appreciate you sharing your experience and your understanding toward the auctioneer. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope your next auction experience goes much more smoothly.
It has been two days since the close on the auction. However the only indication that I had the winning bid was the charge to my credit card. Still no follow-up…
Hi Michael,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. After an auction closes, the auctioneer is responsible for sending invoices and follow-up communication to winning bidders, and timing can vary depending on the seller’s processing schedule. If you haven’t yet received confirmation or additional details about your purchase, we recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly through the contact information listed on the auction page so they can provide an update.
We appreciate you participating in auctions on HiBid, and we hope your next bidding experience is smooth and enjoyable from start to finish!
Great notice and super fast response... Thanks!
The only thing I would like to to change it's when someone increases the bit, it's not go to 5 minutes but only 2 to waste time.
Hi Mike,
Thank you for the 5-star review! We’re glad to hear your auction experience went well. The bid extension time you mentioned is actually set by the individual auctioneer, and some choose longer extensions to give bidders enough time to respond to new bids near closing. If you have suggestions about the timing, you may want to share that feedback directly with the auctioneer who hosted the sale.
We appreciate you being part of the HiBid community, and we’re always happy to see bidders having a great experience—here’s to many more exciting auctions ahead!
I enjoy being able to bid on and make purchases from the comfort of my desk. The one issue is that items often tend to swim by as I am looking at other items or researching pricing. Would be nice to split screen or something in order to address multiple offers/biddings at once.
Hi Kevin,
Thank you for the 5-star review! We’re glad to hear you found the auction well run and easy to understand, and that you enjoy being able to bid and make purchases from the comfort of your desk.
Your suggestion about being able to manage multiple items at once is a great one. As a quick tip, the latest version of Google Chrome now includes a built-in split screen feature that lets you view two tabs side-by-side, which can make it easier to monitor multiple lots while researching or placing bids.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and are happy to have you bidding with us. Wishing you the best of luck on your next auction finds!
Very well run auction and pickup with kind and helpful employees. My only suggestions for improvement would be to improve the quality of pictures and number of pictures, provide more measurements and list any defects/damage.
Hi Nancy,
Thank you for the 5-star review! We’re glad to hear you had a seamless experience and that the auction pickup process went smoothly with kind and helpful staff.
We appreciate your suggestions regarding photo quality, additional images, measurements, and noting any defects or damage. Those details are provided by the individual auction companies creating the listings, and feedback like yours helps highlight what bidders find most useful when evaluating items online.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience—we’re glad you enjoyed the auction and hope you discover many more great finds ahead!
I really try to be fair with reviews, and I'm not sure the site is entirely responsible for the actions of the individual auction reps, but KDC (Key Date Coins) is basically dead to rights on fraud claims, and I nearly sent them a ton of money before I found this out. Now I'm HOPING it's just them, and I've received a few things from other sellers, but it's obvious there's at least some weeding out of fraudsters that needs to happen. Overall use of the site is great, and I like the ways you can use the site, so again, I might give them 5 stars later if they do the right thing and help prevent/eliminate fraud.
Hi Josh,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand your concern, and we appreciate you approaching your review thoughtfully. HiBid hosts auctions for many independent auction companies, and maintaining a safe and trustworthy marketplace is very important to us.
If you ever have concerns about a specific seller or listing, we encourage you to report it through the site or contact our support team so it can be reviewed. Situations like the one you described are taken seriously, and reports from users help ensure any issues are properly investigated.
We’re glad to hear you’ve had positive experiences with other sellers and that you enjoy using the site overall. Thanks again for sharing your perspective—we truly value feedback from bidders like you as we continue working to provide a reliable auction platform.
One item was shown that I may have won, but did not show up on my invoice, another item that I did bid on and did not know I won till I seen it on my invoice. Specifically item 295 was shown as may have won while item 2088 did not show up until my invoice came in?
Hi Kim,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. In some cases, the bidding interface may briefly show a “may have won” status while results are still being finalized, and the invoice issued by the auction company ultimately confirms the official winning lots. Because invoices are generated by the individual auctioneer after the sale closes, that document is the most accurate record of the items won.
If anything on your invoice still seems unclear, the best next step is to reach out directly to the auction company that conducted the sale so they can review the specific lot numbers with you.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and hope your future bidding experiences continue to go smoothly. Happy bidding!
The site has some good auctions. There are several that are unpoliced that sell forged autographs. Sellers can leave negative feedback on bidders but bidders can't do anything about it.
Hi P M.,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you’ve come across some good auctions on the platform, though we’re sorry to hear about your concerns. If you encounter listings that appear to contain forged autographs or other potentially misrepresented items, we encourage you to report them to our support team so they can review the situation further.
We also appreciate your suggestion about allowing bidders to leave feedback for sellers. Input like yours helps highlight features that users would find helpful as the platform continues to evolve. Thanks again for sharing your experience—we appreciate you being part of the community and helping us make the platform better.
My two biggest complaints by far is when searching by category, not being able to find the category when there are over 70k listings for it. The second part of that complaint is searching for an auction under that category when you look at a catalog and then go back to the auction listings you constantly get a 404 error then have to refresh up to five times before it reloads the auctions in a different sort order.
Hi Kristal,
Thank you for sharing your thoughtful feedback. We’re glad to hear you’ve had an overall good experience, though we’re sorry to hear about the frustrations you encountered while searching and navigating categories.
With such a large number of listings across the platform, we understand how important it is for category searches and navigation to work smoothly. Your notes about difficulty locating categories with large listing counts and the 404 error when returning to auction listings are helpful insights, and feedback like this helps highlight areas where improvements can make the browsing experience more seamless.
We appreciate you taking the time to explain the issues in detail, and we hope your future experiences are even smoother. If you ever run into problems like this again, our support team is always happy to help.
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.

Hi Christi, we’re sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced, but we’re glad it sounds like you were able to get the situation resolved. We appreciate you sharing your feedback and understand how concerning unexpected charges can be. If you need any further assistance, our support team is always happy to help.
