Beautiful mild clean flavor

Perfect served over ice with a squeeze of lemon or orange!

Abhorrent

Not one tea I purchased has any kind of flavor. Little like it was all already steeped, dried and put back.

I preferred the silver bags my last green tea came in.

What happened to the silver bags?

Can be aged!

I bought this tea on 4/26/24 and today, as I am sipping it, it is 1/10/2026. At first I did not like the tea. I do not agree at all with the brew instructions. 4 minutes is way too long for me. I like to brew in the Chinese style, and 3 grams at 175 degrees for 10-11 seconds is how this tea works for me. Even then, this tea is mostly broken leaves, so it came with undesired bitterness. When it was young, I found that it brewed excellent cold-brewed tea for summer, and this is how I mostly enjoyed it. I didn't drink it often, and time passed without me noticing it. Before now, I can't even recall the last time I brewed this tea hot. I am guessing over a year ago. Anyway, today I pulled the old tea out and brewed it as described. It is so sweet now and very pleasantly floral, much like aged white tea but stronger. I looked it up and there is a Japanese green tea called kuradashi which is aged in unsealed foil bags in wood boxes under a controlled temperature. These weren't the exact conditions I had, because I didn't consciously age it, but this tea does come in foil bags and it was intermittently exposed to air. For the last 6 months it has been stored in the dark inside a wood pantry, and this maybe helped. In any case, I recommend buying two bags, one to drink and one to age. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Packaging needs improvement

There's more leaf dust in the package than I expected. I'm also disappointed that it's packaged in a plastic bag with an impossible to remove label. Why can't it be shipped in plain paper or waxed paper? Why can't the label at least be removable, to increase the chances of some type of recycling?
