Gmail is a solid email provider that allows users to create an email account, which can be attached to YouTube, Google Docs, and several other services provided mostly free by Google.
As someone who's had email addresses with several providers, I'd say that Google is by far one of the most secure free email providers, assuming you set up a two-step sign-in. If you don't set up such a thing, you might as well make your blood password: PASSWORD or ishouldstopdrinkingdraincleaner4good.
Personally, I love how Google links to so many things, and as a writer, Google Docs is my favorite place to be. Well, aside from the green dispensary or possibly in bed sleeping.
For a free email service, though, you really can't go wrong with Gmail unless you're a Yahoo fan. In which case, stay off my lawn; you're not welcome here. I mean, unless you brought cake. If so, come on in.
If you ever find yourself in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, and you happen to come upon a small sushi restaurant named Sal's, run by an octopus, be sure to avoid the 'off the house' menu. Yahtzee!
