gigmit has 131 customer reviews and ranks 850th in the Music category.
Be careful with this site! You pay a subscription for nothing! Customer service doesn't exist and they keep sending me emails in German.
This is going to be a long review so just bare with me.
I discovered Gigmit as, like others here, I am a musician looks for gigs. I saw Gigmit on Music Gateway and it looked promising so I thought I'd try it out. I signed up with the free account because I have no money to be paying their fees. When I was on the free account, I noticed that you cannot do anything with it. Can't apply to any gigs because they all want you to subscribe to the PRO version. I thought that was a bit unfair. After some time, I bit the bullet and subscribed to the 14 day TRIAL version. Because I didn't use their service enough and I can't justify paying their fees, I cancelled it before the trial was set to renew. Gigmit are claiming that I never did this and because I wasn't sent a cancellation email (despite pressing the cancellation button multiple times across different days), it apparently didn't cancel. How convenient.
When I've looked at other people's experiences, they have had the EXACT same story as me. I have been getting harassed over email with an invoice of £233 to pay. I have no money even for myself at the moment let alone to pay Gigmit for a yearly subscription that I shouldn't have to pay. They are really threatening with their emails with getting debt collectors. When I've either replied to their invoice emails, sent them an email through their support, reported an issue through the website or emailed them through the cancellation email, I have had no response. I've emailed them countless times and get nothing back except for more threatening invoice emails. I'm 18, I've got problems with my mental health, I'm beyond terrified like I haven't got £233 to pay.
I contacted a lawyer and they told me as per EU laws, any business based in the EU have to give a 14 day period after which a service, subscription, item, etc, is bought where you get a full refund no matter the reason. I looked into the ECC website and that statement supports that. There are also laws against unfair/unlawful contracts.
Despite knowing this, I emailed them twice offering for them to change the yearly subscription (that I didn't select) and change it for a monthly subscription, I'll pay the fee for the month and then the subscription will be done. I've not received any response about that. I know they are fully able to do that as I've seen other people do that with Gigmit. I've also seen with others that when their Trial ended, they got charged monthly instead of yearly so I don't know why they couldn't have just charged me monthly instead.
I've been left scared because of this, my mental health has gotten drastically worse from the stress of being threatened with debt collectors if I don't pay. I don't understand this because literally any other business would see you haven't got money to pay a subscription and just won't renew the subscription, why does Gigmit just give you the PRO subscription before you've paid? It should be like any other business, if I don't have the funds to pay the subscription, the subscription doesn't renew. Not just renewing anyway and when their first threats being debt collectors.
I've contacted their support so many times with their email and no one ever replies but they're quick to send me threats about invoices. When I first requested to cancel my subscription, I used their online support form which conveniently doesn't send you a report that you had any contact with them! So I have no proof to show that I requested to cancel my subscription before that date. My advice is just to avoid Gigmit. Most people here have had the same/similar story to tell. If you want to stay stress-free, avoid them. I had emailed them offering to pay the subscription monthly (£20 per month). I don't like paying that at all but £20 is much more manageable for someone like me, 18, on benefits, severe mental health issues that I'm on meds for instead of spending £233 that I don't have. No response with that one either.

The site has a great potential but living in Italy I'm conscious that nobody will gig me for a foreign event if I won't pay the travel costs or the b&b one. Maybe I lost my money
I would never recommend this. Useless without paying

I want to like gigmit. You have a great "vibe" and attitude. But I have to say the free account is pretty much useless. One application per month would be ok (and fair considering it is free) but everything that I would potentially apply for is restricted to PRO only. If there are PRO only gigs, they should not be shown to non PRO customers.
Also the algorithm for matching musicians to gigs is not up to speed. I have been sent "invitations" for pop music videos or festivals in Chicago. There should be a way to limit invitations to particular geographies or musical styles.
Hope you work on these things. Otherwise, I dont (yet) see the sense or value of Gigmit.
My hope was to get connection to a lot ofvenues and festivals for gigs. Since Septemer there were only a few which made sense to aply for.
Hallo,
Keine Angebote in Deutschland.
Nathalie
Hey there, I was curious how it works and honestly im not satisfied. In case if u pay the subscription you only appear on a list with more djs. I don't know, this platform helping novice artists or is for big artists who already have gigs?
Many gigs just don't open: "Oh sorry! Snap not found "
Excellent job, most relevant in connecting with various audience and live performance opportunities
Gig it is definitely a scam and you should not waste your time. It is entirely too expensive. If you are an American artist, do not waste your time.
Gigmit does not provide you any services they pretend to provide. There is no traffic, nothing happens. Very user unfriendly designed
I'm waiting for feedback from an application, otherwise I can't evaluate.
The idea is good! A platform where you can apply for gigs all around Europe. Great! I want that...
But then when you want to apply, the application itself is stuffed behind a premium account?! What the flipping hell?! That's you're basic product, you don't put that behind a premium account... What kind of rippoff is this - that's a scam - That would basically be the same for a Soundcloud to put any upload behind their premium account...
We have a Belgium platform doing exactly the same, offering a platform to apply for gigs (vi.be) they don't put it behind a premium account. It is free for use!
I'm a reasonable man, maybe 10 euro's for a couple of months won't harm me... I can/will see how it wil evolve, but more than a 100 € for an entire year? That's a 'no go' for me! What kind of utter **** is that
The tool is way too expensive. Offers do not match our needs. Often because of the genre, type of event, restricted to local bands etc.
So far the only "gig" offers we've had have been either in the wrong country (!} Or not actually gigs but sign ups for other services. Utterly useless
