Gigmit bull$#*!
September 17, 2021

Avoid that. You pay for one year 19 € per month. Then….
Nothing.
Most of the gigs are in Germany, some in England. But most of them, no gatjering no travel and you mist play for free. Or sometimes you can get 50€. So you can pay your travel, food, and accomodation to play for free. Exactly what musician hate. Beiing used by mother f***ers to sell their beers and make monney easy. I regret gigmit. This is not respectuous. Really i hope they re gonna collaps fast. Thieves

This review seems to be a bad joke and definitively no real product experience. Unfortunately Sitejabber does allow dishonest reviews.

I got booked for several shows here
June 9, 2021

Good website, got booked with my band for several shows here. Had to apply a lot but overall I feel they are helpful and offer gigs and access to venues and festivals.

Stay away while you can
May 20, 2021

Edit: I've been contacted by the support staff of Gigmit eventually, the issue is resolved and my debt has been cleared.

In 2019 I'd subscribed to its Pro service which meant paying a monthly fee for a year without a chance of getting out. This was fine, I knew the terms and conditions then and I knew what I was signing up for.

However after the covid pandemic struck, in 2020 April, I wrote them a mail asking to "freeze" my account. Mind you "freeze" not "cancel". This meant that I wanted to continue my subscription after the pandemic ended. I knew that this was not in their terms and conditions but because of the pandemic -this is very important- their service became something that they cannot promise to provide.

In August 2020 they automatically extended my subscription for another year without my consent or my knowledge. A month ago I received a mail from a company called Creditreform, which is a debt collecting company, threatening me to pay the unpaid Gigmit fee. I was shocked to see that my subscription had been extended another year and now there's a pile of debt that I cannot afford.

In my opinion, last year Gigmit should already have let their customers cancel their subscription who wanted out, after we all realized that this pandemic was here to stay. This was the right thing to do anyway.

It really depends
May 16, 2021

As I see it, the biggest problem is ther HR management. It really depends on who you deal with. If your contact person is capable, I guess you have a good chance that you will get something in return. As Gigmit started to grow, I had to deal with several contact persons who had no capability to follow up. I sent hundreds of emails to solve tiny problems that popped up all along the way. And I do know their service isn´t quite fair. Once I had a British Gigmit-contact whose network was based mostly on his personal friendships towards local musicians - which means that the same artists got performaces again and again. TIt looked like Gigmit may not be the worst of all, but is a shady business after all.

If you felt that Gigmit has treated you poorly, you might be interested in signing a petition on change.org. Search for "Victims of Gigmit"

Great team + service
May 14, 2021

I am absolutely happy that a platform like this exists. The gigmit team has been helpful setting up my account the right way and I just love what they are offering on the platform every day. Loads of gigs and opportunities. I don't understand the bad vibes.

These are scammers who will take your money
May 14, 2021

These are scammers who will take your money even if you do not use their services. Stay away from Gig Meats if your money is important to you. I have not received a single event. What I got was just a headache and the payment for the subscription from which I unsubscribed (and deleted the account), as well as the pursuit of the collection agency. I am sorry that I once found out about this fraudulent company. The only thing I can wish for her is that she goes broke as soon as possible and be punished for her actions.

Scam. One star is one too many.
May 12, 2021

I wish I'd checked the reviews before I signed up to Gigmit. It was worse than absolutely useless so I cancelled my membership. I have even forwarded emails showing my requests to cancel but they ignore them. They say they have no record of the cancellation and are now using Pair Finance, a debt collection agency that they own, to try to extort money that I do not owe. They do not read emails and just repeat the claim again and again. Luckily, I cancelled any payment plan before they'd taken any money so at least they are no richer from me with this scam.
I have an electronic paper trail proving my position and yet they persist.
If anyone is in the same boat, please get in touch and together, maybe we can stop these thieving scammers. *******@googlemail.com

Seems to be all about the Pro version
May 10, 2021

The only thing they seem to be interested in is getting you to sign up for the pro version.
I might not have been scammed by them so far, but I have definitely been spammed. Several mails a week about gigs or promotions or what not. Whenever you go to the gig, they press you to go pro at every turn. It's very pushy and they offer nothing up front the way a reputable company does.

They take care of artists
May 3, 2021

I am using gigmit as an artist for a while and they do a lot from content to gigs. I like the design of the artist page and you find a lot of opportunities. Can really recommend that to every artist who wants to play live gigs.

Gigmit is a SCAM
November 27, 2020

Gigmit is subscription fraud, which with a misleading contract with a couple of clicks would tie you for whole the year of payments, without the possibility of cancelling and even offers almost nothing. They just rob musicians. The support is a joke, they do not reply emails for a couple of months. If you would stop pay they own debt collectors company and they will harras you hard. They are a scam! High alert for any potential customers!

Gigmit is a scam
October 15, 2020

This company appears to be scamming dozens of people, locking them into long-term contracts they can't escape, in order to build up a large subscriber base that is attractive to prospective investors. Their misleading small print and partnership with prominent UK festivals resulted in many of my colleagues getting hooked into 200+ Euro year's contracts over the last couple of years. As with all these entrepreneurial grifter projects, their ratings and socials seem to be heavily propped up by bots, presumably also to dupe naive investors and partners.

The Gigmit service itself is utterly useless to England-based musicians in almost all fields, and is frankly not fit for purpose in terms of its UX and content, but they notoriously refuse to terminate contracts on the grounds of either provable customer dissatisfaction or provable accusations of malpractice: they seemingly just don't care either way. Not only must they be made to pay for their disgraceful, predatory business conduct, but the UK festivals who have partnered with them and gotten so many musicians suckered into this mess in the first place must also be held accountable for their utter lack of foresight. Avoid like the plague.

Horrible tricksters i hope they get sued!
August 26, 2020

They offer NOTHING and steal your money!

They are tricksters that offer miserable ''concert opportunities'' at karaoke bars, pubs or huge looking festivals in Hungary or Poland that don't even pay so completely useless and for this crap they bind you in 1 year contract with the trap that you can cancel anytime yes but the contract is for 1 whole year so no you cannot cancel anytime and this is not even clearly explained BEFORE you sign up.

Needless to mention the inbox spamming about supposed opportunities that are not even running anymore when you click them or broken links are on the other side, then they run after you with finance companies when you wanna cancel and you refuse to pay. Seriously I am wondering how they haven't been sued or shut down yet. They deserve it.

$#*! service
August 2, 2020

I wanted to give no stars, but you cant do that. But one is honestly way too good! I am not that type of person that writes reviews, but this company is just pure **. If there is any way that we- all artists- could get together and fight our way through this $#*! contract, would be the only way to go with this situation! PLEASE don't subscribe!

Waste of money
April 12, 2020

This is a waste of money. Too much people applying for the same gig, you can't get through and even worse, you're stuck with a one year membership. You can't cancel before the year is over. This is just maffia ways of working, totally not consumer friendly. Gigmit is the ONLY one benefitting, as everyone else is just losing money.

Gigmit is a scam
February 27, 2020

They trick you for a free account but with credit card info. Then let you try for free but sign you up for a year. No way to cancel. #gigmit #scam #hoax

I subscribed for price of 0 euros. I noticed they had taken money from my account. I asked them to cancel the service. They wouldnt and sent me threat warning they could now charge 40 extra fee.

After filing a complaint to ECC they finally cancelled the subscription.
