FI I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone
I purchased a refrigerated display unit in mid-May. From the very beginning, the device emitted a strong and unusual odor, something technical, which absorbed into food products and changed their taste. I assumed at first it might fade with time, and I tried various odor-neutralizing methods (baking soda, coffee grounds, lemon, vinegar, etc.), but after weeks the smell has not gone away at all. I contacted the company and described the issue in detail. I followed all the instructions I was given: sending videos, photos, written explanations, and answering further questions. I had to resend materials multiple times because I was told they hadn't been received. Despite weekly follow-ups by email and phone, progress was very slow, and my main concern — that the unit itself was producing the odor — didn't seem to be acknowledged. After about eight weeks, the company accepted a return, but I was asked to handle complex packaging requirements myself, including placing the unit on a pallet and securing it with tension belts within 10 minutes of pickup. As a small business owner with no technical expertise or equipment for this, I was unable to meet those demands. The unit was never usable, and my small 12 m² shop depends heavily on a functional refrigerated display. As a result, I suffered financial losses and had to close my store temporarily. I've tried my best to cooperate, but unfortunately, the situation remains unresolved, and I've received no refund. While this may have been an exceptional case, my experience was extremely stressful and disappointing.
