The Gate.io platform is a SCAM! Watch out. They close the positions without telling you, they freeze your funds, they don't keep your ordebooks of buying and sells like all the major exchanges and they pretend that it's all your fault. Cancel them ASAP!

I recently had the opportunity to register on the gate.io platform as a resident in Spain, using a Spanish IP address and providing my KYC verification with my French passport. My actual residence in Spain, subject to Spanish laws, should have allowed me to fully enjoy gate.io's services. However, my initial experience with this platform proved to be perplexing.

Despite my clear status as a Spanish resident, it's worth noting that Spain is not on gate.io's list of restricted countries, but France is. Nevertheless, gate.io imposed restrictions on me due to my French passport and alleged inconsistencies with my IP address. This situation caught me off guard as I had never encountered such restrictions in the 30 years I've spent working on the internet.

My attempt to communicate with gate.io's customer service was not fruitful. I tried to explain my situation, emphasizing that my residence and interests were now in Spain, but the response I received was disappointing. There seemed to be a lack of understanding and flexibility from the customer service to address this complex situation.

In summary, my initial experience with gate.io was marred by unjustified restrictions as a resident in Spain, which is not a restricted country. The customer service failed to resolve these issues satisfactorily, leaving a negative impression. I hope that gate.io will reconsider its policy to accommodate legitimate residents of Spain who, like me, are currently facing unjust hurdles in using their platform.

On August 9,2023, I made a purchase of USDT cryptocurrency using ZEN cards. ZEN account debit amount PLN 4,500 / amount of purchased stable coins 1093,423USDT.
A moment after the purchase, I tried to collect the purchased USDT and transfer it to the private wallet. Gate.io has blocked my funds purchased from them and is preventing me from doing so payment of USDT purchased from them.
I would like to add that I have undergone full KYC3 verification on this exchange.
Despite this, in order to unblock the funds, the exchange requested bank statements from me and credit card selfies.
I provided them with the required documents, but still the funds have not been released a the exchange avoids contact.
Worst of all is the fact that it was delivered to them by e-mail, the documents were made publicly available on the exchange's website.
Anyone in the world, even without having to log in to the exchange, can download them.
In the following days, I intervened many times by writing tickets. In addition I joined the gate.io group on telegram. In this group, I met people who have similar problems and wait for the money stolen from them 2 weeks or so half a year with no results.
The situation these thieves create is analogous to, for example, this one. I come to the car dealership and buy a car. I pay cash at the cash register. Then the salesman says he won't give me the car until I provide my bank statements, photos etc. I deliver all of that. Then the car dealer posted my papers on the board and still refuses to release the car. Simple plain theft. Only then can you come with the police. It's harder here.
