When you are not paying, the site send you constant reminders that people have visited you or expressed interest. When you do pay however, all communication stops.

This in itself is nearly bait-and-switch. More disconcertingly, however, is when you cancel, the services cancels at that point in time and forfeits the rest of your pay instead of cancelling until whatever time you have paid for runs out.

The end result is essentially people signing up for a sub, wasn't impressed but wanted to wait to see if there's any action, and highly likely forgets that they are still paying until they notice it on their card. Usually this is the subscriber's responsibility, but sending NO statements and NO communication about recurrent charges or otherwise cannot be described by any better words than scam.

I think this site is not a scam. The downside of this web is that it is a bit expensive and it is hard to take away the auto renew of the membership. But good thing about this web is that the people there are real. Also, the customer service is very patient and nice. I accidentally join the membership and they are willing to refund (well... partly because I am in New York and the state law requires them to refund within 3 days.)

When I was using this site I signed up for a subscription. Then immediately two girls started chatting with me, but it was really suspicious. One girl kept asking me for my phone number without answering any of my questions. And the other promoted another website before she blocked me when I called her out.

Most profiles are barely complete and the portion where you're supposed to write about yourself is usually left completely blank. If they were real users they must be pretty lazy to leave a simple page blank like that.

If you're a guy I would advise to stay away. You can pretty much call this a scam since being a man you will have to pay money in order to use their service.

I was on here for only a short time... less than a month and I met 3 men. They are good looking men. In the beginning they tried to lure you with romance but towards the end they want your money, I did not send any of them my money but I got them to confess who they really are. They used photos of other guys and posed as their own. If you are good with the internet you can do a reverse search to try to connect their stories to what you found. I met 4 guys in less than a month and all 4 are fake.

Woman here. I met a few reasonable people, but they weren't the right match. It's certainly not as overwhelming and draining as other dating apps.

It does suck that some men can't see your messages, because they don't have a paid membership. You will get people from across the world who don't speak English sending smiles at you. I want to see more people in my area.

It's not bad trying the app out. I deactivated it, because it felt like there weren't too many men on there. Other sites have a higher amount of people.

Lol... I guess I got suckered into the three month subscription. Had a lot of smiles, visits, and several messages on free version. Upon sign-up as paid subscriber, I noticed the onces that had messaged me prior to paying disappeared as well as number of smiles dropped to zero. I am sure there are a few real ladies on this site but no where near the number of fake profiles. Beware guys. I should have known better and don't want you to get scammed like I did. Once you pay there is no going back for a refund. Stick to finding someone in the real world. I give it ZERO stars if I could. Today is 4-7-19

On a side note, i left a similar negative review on Apple where I downloaded the app and to my surprise my review doesn't show up. This company should be investigated by the BBB.

Some suggestions-Girls here seem to have a habit of not responding. There should be a indicator on their profile(visible to them and others) which shows % response rate. So we can stay away from time wasters. Some gentle nudge to them to respond (doesn't matter Yes or no). Maybe you can have button for them for simple response of yes/no/maybe. Not cool to pretend to be too cool. I know you want to make it easy for girls but men paying for service should get some response otherwise they would feel wasting time and cancel service. Thank you!

I have tried this app for over a year on and off. I have noticed that I tend to get more views, smiles, and messages when I have not yet paid. Once I pay and reply to the message, I get no response from the person. Sometime, I think they block connection if it is real. I once sent a lady a message and she replied. When I tried to reply back, it said I could not send her the message because her account is deactivated. Sounds fishy.

I searched EME throughout the Internet and make sure its genuine. It turned out not.
It probably has a real female users since I text with some females for awhile. That said, what I noticed is there are bunch of catfish and fake females, so that they could urge men to purchase subscription. They are very canny to create fake profiles since they sort of intentionally choose seemingly real female user to deceive men, like, you can actually meet in the social environment you already belong to, you got it.
I also noticed they regularly update the same female profile, which is a straw that broke the camel's back. I seen the exactly the same profile with a butch of "New" on the profile, and my "Smiled" mark was unmarked.
Ok with that said, there is less or more real users, which is why some guys say EME is genuine. But from my experience, the females you'd be driven to pay subscription, so that you would chat, are most likely catfish. If even that is fine for you, then everything would be ok. Personally, EME is the most disappointing ever dating app.
