Living in the Dream
Great magazine to escape to another world.
Lots of hotel ads, unimpressive stories.
If you can get a subscription cheap, it's probably worth your time to page through each issue then toss.
Good articles, many ads.
I do really like this magazine, but sometimes it seems like 75% of the issue is ads. Because there are so may ads, I think this magazine should cost half of what it currently costs.
Good Photos and Solid Writing
AFAR takes readers to various places around the world. The articles are interesting and the photographs are inviting to those who experience the joy of travel.

A Gift
This subscription was a gift for my best friend who is in the fight for her life against breast cancer. She loves to travel but, of course, is unable to do so now. "Afar" magazine was the closest I could come to giving her a trip. She is very much enjoying the magazine.
I look forward to reading each issue.
I love this magazine. It is written for thoughtful travelers who are interested in immersive, life-changing experiences. It covers popular destinations but also many off the beaten track. The photography, quality of writing and production values are excellent.

Not a typical travel magazine and that's what I love about it. It give knowledge about the places and the culture that make each destination unique.
Not your average travel magazine
This is a very different travel magazine -- articles about destinations, accommodations and food are unique and more "off the beaten path" of most travel magazines.
An enjoyable read
As someone who travels whenever possible, I enjoy reading well-written articles about places and experiences I plan to experience on my own.
Pass on this one next time
Pretty design, but there are way too many ads and not enough content and good writing.
