Fun Cooking Magazine
Good, everyday recipes - nothing too exotic or difficult and some fun twists on traditional dishes. There are fewer recipes than I expected, though, and the ratio of stories to recipes is heavy. For example, there is an article in a recent edition on great seafood places in San Francisco including a blurb on dungeness crab (currently in season). No recipes were referenced in the article. Another story was about profound loss & how one recipe brought a little comfort - it was a good attempt to create a meaningful food experience at a hard time. But, I can't bring myself to try the recipe - too much raw emotion associated with it. It's a delicate balance of relating food to written life experiences - Bon Appetit is fun but needs some tuning.

There is always so much useful information in each edition, and it has recipes that I can make, doesn't need a lot of strange ingredients.

Not interested in most of the menu ideas and offerings... much preferred the "old, original " Bon Appetit. Will NOT renew. Also, I have not received consistent delivery of either of these magazines.
This magazine should be advertised as a travelogue, not a food magazine!

Bon appetit always makes me shine when I'm having a dinner party.
Making dinner for guests and recipes include what wines pair well with the meal.

Not even worth the $5 I paid. Didn't like any of the recipes
I didn't like any of the recipes so I gave them to a friend, that was a bit more into gourmet cooking. She lined a bird cage with them!

New Look
The look of Bon Appetite has changed. The photos are unappealing, the content seems to be trying very hard to be cool and worldly. I miss elegant the old Bon Appetite.
