God help you if you can actually read this magazines.
This magazine is so over written that it takes the pleasure of reading to a new low. It seems as if it is a test for people who love to write and have nothing better to do. Overkill at its greatest.

The BEST combination of news and fantastic writing
I've loved this magazine for years. It's kind of like the economist light but also weaves in excellent authors and creative writing. It's manageable with well sized articles but they're generally short so you can actually read through them even if you're busy. It's like you learn news, history, politics, art and book reviews but it feels like you're reading a novel. The writing is just phenomenal.

I LOVE Harper's Magazine. It is great. Considering how it is hard to stay up-to-date both about current news and also about timeless art/literature stuff, Harper's Magazine is great. Much more relateable than New Yorker (if you want to compare).

Harpers is a writer's magazine, but in my opinion, the writing is either didactic or uninteresting. Recommend The Sun for good writing.

I had a subscription to Harper's years ago but I'd forgotten how dynamic it's content is. I don't always agree with authors but I often do take something away. If you're looking for thoughtful informed writing, Harper's is just the thing

Love the index of facts and figures. Some of magazine is tough to get through unless you have no distractions and a solid chunk of time to dedicate to the read. Useful info and interesting if you have the time to leisure read
