I read it from A to Z
Awesome publication and podcasts at a great price
My favorite global news publication. Good old-fashioned journalism written so well you even want to read topics you would otherwise find "boring". My husband, 14yo daughter, and I all read it.
Saved a lot of money using this company
The Economist Print & Digital subscription is unrivaled if you want comprehensive coverage and editorials of current worldwide events without bias and with experts providing invaluable input. I love it!
The Economist appears more preoccupied with serving as an echo chamber for globalist and progressive ideologies than with cultivating truly independent perspectives. Its coverage of Brazilian politics has been laughably superficial, leaving it unclear whether this stems from sheer incompetence—a failure to grasp the broader context—or from ideological blinders. To a lesser but still concerning degree, the magazine's reporting on the UK's and Europe's immigration crises, as well as the repercussions in the US of downplaying the increasingly violent rhetoric and actions from Democrats, reveals similar shortcomings.
The Economist provides rational and largely neutral analysis of international politics and economics - much more than its lower-priced weekly competitors. UK news is somewhat disproportionate relative to that country's global significance, but it suits me - I am a a British ex-pat.
Impartial, credible, relevant information-!
Best Publication of its kind. No magazine Comes Close!
I really enjoyed the Economist. It's very timely and unbiased in terms of political position. I always received my copy every week.
This magazine covers all world affairs and business with very few ads.
The Economist is a very thorough and timely news magazine that covers conditions all over the world.
If you want to keep up-to-date with world news, business, finance, technology, get this magazine. I like the obituary section because it portraits a nobody who makes this world a better place. Somehow this journal never fail to interests me regardless how boring the topic might be.
A newsmagazine covering the world with emphasis on business
Takes some time to read, but most issues have some terrific pieces in them... well worth the investment
Media are very hard to trust these days. The economist is the rare exception
Having significant delivery issues, basicly not getting very often keep calling but not getting resolved. Been 30 year subscriber but on verge of canceling because not getting very often
As an American I appreciate the view from a distance (both in space and time) the Economist provides. The US's major papers have painfully obvious political bias, attention grabbing 'breaking' news, and articles which seem like they are written by college students. The Economist takes a few days to come out with it's calm, unbiased analysis, and that makes it so much more enjoyable to read, and informative, with reliable information. The writing is adult-level, uses a rich vocabulary, and is very often witty in a subtle way (along with the more obvious, but usually excellent, wordplay and puns). Another thing I value: they often will present both sides of a story, such as one on plastics, which of course had all the usual criticisms of plastic, but also had a few paragraphs to remind readers of how useful plastic is, and how in many cases it is less harmful to the environment than the alternatives we had to use in the past (such as animal skins, bone, rare woods, and so on). This kind of reporting feels like it's trying to genuinely inform me, not simply persuade me toward one point of view.
A cornucopia of interesting and valuable information; where that is becoming more difficult to find.
Auto-renewal should be an op-in option. Not a requirement. Getting out of auto-renewal needs to be obvious and easy. The price was better than I found elsewhere.
