I had a run in with customer service back in May 2020 over a discount that I was going to get turned out to be a rebate which i wasn't interested in dealing with. I requested they cancel the order because i felt that the way the discount was being advertised and actually being paid out was 2 different things and in my opinion deceitful. Four months later my husband notices a charge on my discover card for $12.95 a month for a V. I. P acct that I never authorized. Seems the charged started right after I had my run in with customer service. I'm so angry about it that I've cancelled my account with them and I've removed them from my email.
Very disappointed, found out the Cuddledown charged my card for kind of membership I wasn't aware without any statement or notification. When I called to cancel they just hang out on me. Be aware. Even their linen quality is good, I will do not purchase anything from them.
Cuddledown offers a "VIP" service for customers that apparently is designed to offer them news of sales. I inadvertently hit the service when purchasing a Christmas gift and have been billed every month $14.95 since then for a service I never use. I requested that the "service" end in March, April, and May and now in June see the bill again. I am assured each time I call that the service has been discontinued and that I will not be billed again. Good luck with that. Cuddledown tells me that they have nothing to do with the service - I assume they get a monthly cut - horrible irresponsible company. Will never buy from them again.
It has creases sewn in it. Not worth 18.95 when l contacted them they said they couldn't find a record of my purchase. I recieved it An hour ago its got snags in it to these look like factory rejects l asked for a return label recently lve bought other bedding from cuddledown that was fine but £18.75 for a badly made pillow they say they are proud of the quality of their products and meticulous haha
Awful company. When I placed a phone order from their catalogue I had to correct the representative repeatedly. Weeks later I called to ask what was happening to be told my zip code was inaccurate! No calls or emails to discuss, just silence until I asked. They then promised 2 day delivery. Again, nothing! I finally cancelled the order. Clearly they don't care about their customers.
I just tried to order two items, & I've never had such an unpleasant experience with the woman who started to take my order!
She actually asked /almost suggested that the order be cancelled when I tried to clarify what tax would be on the order.
Makes me realize now pleasant people are when one orders over the phone!

I purchased a duvet cover, sheets, and pillowcases. They charged $45 for shipping. The duvet cover and fitted king sheet were not available so they canceled that part of the order. What the h*ll am I going to do with a top sheet and pillowcases and no bottom sheet or cover? Then they showed online they were available so I ordered again. I waited and waited until it was almost too late to return the items I had. They assured me the other items were coming. They did not come and they wanted to CHARGE ME to send them back. I returned the items on 4/24/2020 and today is 5/19/2020. They received the items according to shipping almost two weeks ago and still NO credit. I have been on hold for 41 minutes WAITING TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE. Everything is made in CHina and is very cheaply put together but priced at a quality price. DO NOT ORDER. I have wasted so much time on this it is ridiculous.
I ordered and received 2 sets of pillow cases. Both say Pima cotton but they sure look like polyester to me. They are very thin and slippery. I have a background in tailoring and know fabric. This is NOT cotton. The laundering instructions say cold/cool water which also supports polyester. The stitch count is low in the seams and overall cheap construction for a $25 pillow case. I will not be buying again and will request they take my name off their catalog list. It does feel like a scam.
We have literally spent hours trying to place an order using a gift certificate issued to us by Cuddledown. We have asked at the beginning of the order process if they can process using a gift certificate. After being assured that they can process and spending 40 minutes to place to order they inform us that it has to go to level 2. This happened twice. We were also placed hold for 100 minutes only to be told they are in lock down. Then there is the matter of their cookies appearing constantly on everything you look at. This is the worst customer service we have ever experienced.
Cuddledown has boasted for years manufactured in Maine... because that sounds all American and maybe a long long time ago they did but they deserted the "Made in the USA" for cheaper labor. They sicken me... now in Corona crisis they were not able to produce a product I ordered. Shame on them... they are not a proud US manufacturer. They are a fraud. I'm sure their ancestors would be ashamed.
I liked my duvet, however, the buttons were not securely attached. I had to re-sew all of them on. I lost a button so I contacted customer service and they refused to send one ONE button. They told me to "go to the store" where I bought it which is closed due to the pandemic. So needless to say, I will not be buying from this company again anytime soon. A lovely way to treat your customers Cuddledown, and MAYBE sew the buttons on better so I don't have to waste my time! Really...?
I ordered a comforter cover and 2 pillow matching pillow shams in December for a February wedding. The comforter cover came right away, but I never received the 2 pillow shams. The wedding came and went and I had to go out locally and purchase a linen gift for the bride. I have been attempted to return the comforter cover for over a month, as I no longer needed it for the wedding gift. I have called customer service ( a misnomer for them) and requested to initiate a return for the comforter cover. I have been told during 8 phone calls that (1) the return shipping label is in the mail, (2) that they do not send return shipping labels, (3) that I cannot return the comforter cover because the 2 pillow shams are still on backorder and I cannot cancel them, (4) that they have no record of the order number, etc. You get the picture. I have also been told that my problem has been escalated and that I will receive a phone call from the escalation department. That was weeks ago. Everyone I have talked to has been challenged with the English language and has been difficult to understand. One of them even suggested I use the comforter cover myself. One "manager" hung up on me. I have given up.
Great product, terrible customer service and terrible communication. We ordered a matched set of bedding and they sent out a partial order and said the rest we would never get. In other words, you are stuck with a mismatched set. How stupid. And then they wanted to charge us to send the useless partial set back. This is a tremendous disappointment since we have purchased pillows and comforters from them for 15 to 20 years.
I ordered pillowcases and a sheet. Of course they send just the pillow cases without telling me they made a mistake and the sheet isn't available. Then they charge me for my full order. Don't get to excited about anything because you might not get it even if it says available. I would give them no stars
Great product, ridiculous website, silly membership, poor customer service. I truly don't understand how these people are still in business. There has to be a better way to engage in business with them. With such a great product, they could triple their sales with a user friendly website, free shipping for members and competent customer service.
Ordering is beyond difficult. They cannot understand you. Returning anything is a complete nightmare. Worst of all you cannot speak with anyone about your order... PLEASE stay away from this company. Try finding their items on a different web site.

I've been hung up on after being a confused and polite customer who had questions about a return due to Cuddledown calculations.
I had spent $400. Never received the VIP Packet. So I Never received my Shipping Charges reimbursed as promised. Three very nasty Customer Service Agents who kept repeating info I did not understand re: process. And I'm a former ASST. Atty. General who dealt w consumer Affairs for the Commonwealth of MA.
Lovely bedding. Worth the Higher price. But nothing is worth RUDE AND NASTY. Customer service agents.
I've lost approximately $100 thst now bc they won't help me, I am owed, but will never receive!
Go elsewhere for your bedding!
The ship the order in 2 separate shipments, but in the website order status, it only shows one (with the tracking), the 2nd one was not on the website or in the shipping confirmation email, so I got worried and call them because I only received partial order. The staff gave me the tracking number 23 of them without a single stop, I asked her to repeat the last 4 digits, the only one time I asked her to repeat things, she got so impatient, I thanked her and she hung up without even saying goodbye?
This is a order almost $500 dollars and she cannot even stop once for 3 secs and being polite? There are so many good companies that provides better services with this price range, I am willing to spend more to not deal with them. Stay Away.
This is the 2nd time I've put in an order and after the initial confirmation, no other communication - both times I've called and they say they've been waiting for me to confirm the order - who does that! I confirmed the order, no communication again- called again and they we did the same thing - I ended up cancelling both orders - don't waste your time - their products are good but you can get equal products elsewhere without all the hassle!
Cuddledown makes a good product, but their customer service is a joke. I ordered a set of sheets. Only the pillow cases arrived, the duvet cover and fitted sheet are on backorder. The flat sheet has been discontinued. Why would any company send a partial set of sheets, knowing that the flat sheet can not be obtained. When i called customer service, I spoke with 4 different people, none of whom can speak or understand English
