But when it comes time to withdraw your crypto from their platform, they will restrict your withdrawal due to suspicious activity and ask for documents to prove that you are not a scammer and after you provide all the documents they asked for, they will give you a half-hearted response that does not solve your problem and then completely ignore you when you continue to write to them. Few years ago, while in Asia (but still a UK tax resident), I opened an account with Crypto.com with a local sim but since being back in the UK jurisdiction with a UK sim, I am unable to manage it.
I contacted Crypto.com and was told that I had to open an account with my new number in the UK to have the balance sent to it.
As they did not respond to my request to close the account, I opened a Crypto.com account but on Nov 1 2025 was told they couldn't do the transfer cause my old account was actually on their Crypto Exchange, a different platform, and I had to open an account there.
I did that and contacted them 3 days later just to be asked if I wanted to have my assets transferred to their Crypto or Exchange platform (different person, different rules...), then after explaining everything again, I was told that, sure, they'd work on it and update me in the chat, which would be left opened in the app.
On Nov 7 I found out that, instead, the chat was closed and nothing done, so I started again the whole process, ending with the same assurance of working on it and update me in the open chat.
On Nov 8 I checked the chat to find out that ( surprise surprise!), it had been closed again and nothing done, so I had to redo everything again, this time however I was being very rude because I was furious. Of course now I will have no choice but to refer the matter to the FCA, unless I want spend the rest of my life chatting with these liers.
From the date of the first chat, I had a total of 7 chats and they just kept telling me lies, closing the issue and do nothing. Not to bore the readers, I left out all the time wasted because of their bugs in their apps, not to mention the stress and frustration, otherwise I could have written a novel.

I changed my opinion when they paid me at the beginning and I thought it was a good company - they answered emails and answered in the chat - but be careful.
