Sturdy cover, too much plastic, hard to fit as a replacement
First impression was there is way too much plastic used in the packaging. Feels outrageous in these times. Also, the colour wasn't what I was expecting from the website (the green is much lighter), although it doesn't make much difference to me.
The cover itself seems very sturdy although of course only time will tell.
Unfortunately, no buckles or springs attached (all separately sealed in plastic of course), so it took a long time to get the cover ready to fit.
On the positive side, they provided plenty of spare buckles and spring hooks and the cover has plenty of straps for tying the cover down. They also provided lots of anchors.
The buckles are a little 'sharp' to adjust (especially when they get wet) and I ended up with sore fingers after adjusting my 20 or so buckles several times. In theory though, if you get this right, you shouldn't have to adjust much in future years.
My only other problem was that I bought this as a replacement cover, hoping that there was some standard amongst pool covers for the placement of straps. There clearly isn't and this doesn't seem to be something the manufacturer has considered. There is no option on the website to specify any specific strap positions and the instructions they provide all assume a new installation. I don't really want to drill a lot of new holes in my pool side to line up with new straps but the alternative is the cover is kinked in some places if I use my existing anchor points.
It would be very useful if they could provide some tools/techniques for this scenario (presumably not unusual) with their covers.
Cover too big despite using measuring guidelines
Measured based on sites guidelines and ended up with. Cover that was way too big for pool spacing. Despite asking to return cover company did not offer any help to correct problem. Disappointed with product size and quality and even moreso with company's customer service
