100% fake wasted months of my time talked with many yet not a single one was honest and like someone else said they're all from different country and only try steal and trick you but they're not even good at lying and it's very easy to figure it out but the things is each time takes a day or two to figure out because they pretend and then last second switch and expose their fakeness and ask for money or to buy them something… it's messed up… why do guys have to deal with this bs? Why can't people just respect each other what's so hard?
Anyways i quit the place now and accepted i will never find a real person because after months and over 50 deceptive "matches" all were fake lying scammers… that's 0/50 folks… run away as fast as you can ITS A SCAM! Upset and wish could get money back
If i could give ZERO stars i would. As I say in the title. Alt.com is a total fraud as far as ever meeting anyone. 99.9% fake profiles. I signed up and paid just under $300 for membership for 3 months, added VIP status and non paying members could contact me. In a 10 day period I had 435 views of my profile, hot listed 96 times. Received over 100 messages which 90% included a Google chat ID to talk off site. If they do that ut is 100% scam. They want your picture first along with name. Really? Why don't you just be up front and send me your cashapp info. Wholly $#*!! This site is a total scam. First off my photo is in the profile. If you reverse search there profile photo you will find theybare stolen celebrity or Instagram stars pictures. FONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
When you sign up you get msgs straight away, upgrade to silver or gold and tada!the msgs stop until you are due to upgrade again. Avoid at all costs!
ALT is by far the largest fetish dating site and I have no idea where al the negative reviews come from?! IMO there ar eonly two legit fetish dating sites, ALT and BDSMdatingChat. I have been using both sites for many years now and if you can't meet someone using one of those or both sites you are doing something wrong
I joined alt during its second month of inception, many years ago. It had some minor problems even back then, but when the current owners bought the site, they quickly destroyed its original intent... an alternative and bdsm website. Now, its nothing more than a cyber sex dating site. The worst part, is that while the site cannot control the quality of the members, they continually make changes that deviate from its purpose. You can no longer determine the sub/dom status of an individual, they removed activity listings so you will struggle trying to find a match to connect with (meaning you will have to sift through hundreds of attempts to find a like-minded individual), and they do not respond at all to problem emails (they state they respond first to gold members, which is laughable - I have been a gold member for many years and have yet to receive a response from any problem related email), the pages often do not load correctly, the links often result in a "page cannot be found", and all of this at a fairly expensive price to be a gold member (remember that you get basically nothing - almost a non-functioning website - as a standard member. All the larger problems occurred when the parent company of FF purchased alt.com, apparently without any knowledge base of the websites intended purpose.
Bottom line, if all you are looking for is to have cyber sex online, and not necessarily with the gender that is on the profile, then by all means join because alt.com does that well. If you are looking to meet new friends and learn more about the bdsm lifestyle, then this site is practically useless.
When I did have a membership back then I had a lot of fun. Now I tried it again and it sucks. Its a bunch of fake ads and just garbage. I saw someone ask a question about how to know if it wasnt a cop. Well back then I actually was dating a female cop. She was one of the best. I really hope whoever runs that site cleans it up.
I was on alt.com about a decade ago. I just rejoined a few days ago and saw some of the issues I had back then. It is true many of the profiles are years old. It is also true many of the members haven't been online for more than three months. It is also true that within hours of my signing up I got a whole bunch of "female sub looking for master" messages. They are easy to spot since they come from all over the world and are clearly spam. I just blocked the user and moved on. I did email with actual people. I plan to meet one of them soon for some fun and games.
My advice is to keep your eyes open, you spidey sense tingling, and go for it. You will have to wade through a lot of stuff. You will be scammed if you let yourselves. I was also on cheatingcougar. Com, seeking milf, com, milfsconnection.com for a while. Alt.com isn't a in your face, steal your money scam like they are. They use "online cupids" which are people sitting in a room with a quota to respond to a certain number of people per day. The pictures are fake. The profiles are fake. The people don't exist. I once counted two, and both of them were scammers, in 28 pages of online now. The rest, which was 99 percent, were "online cupids" and didn't exist.
Alt.com isn't anywhere near that bad, If you use a little judgment, you can sort through the crap, figure out who is who and have some fun.
At any rate, I have concluded the vast majority of dating sites are either 99 percent scam, or have a lot of fake profiles Alt.com is much better than most of the rest, although you do have keep your eyes peeled. The basic skill set of paranoia works just fine.
There are so many female scammers on this site, esp. If you are a male looking for a femdom. And they all want money. Beware of the ones that want money but don't want to meet you. I've found 4 in the last 4 weeks.
Stay away from this site.
I've actually never had any problems with the site. I was a free member back in 2006. And I moved on to a premium membership so I wasn't just communicating with creepy people. I've recently re-joined, and was upgraded to a premium 1-yr membership for free based on activity within a month or two of rejoining. Maybe it's a double standard male/female upgrade problem. I don't know. And I've def found what I've been looking for.
As soon as you sign on as a free member, low and behold, you get emails from fund sounding people. However, even when you answer them right away, and just offer to communicate to see if you might have some interests in common, you don't hear from them again. It appears that there are some fake profiles and responses to get you to want to sign up as a premium user. Does anyone out there have real success stories from Alt.com? I'm trying to find some...
I'm a free member, and only have any membership at all because of the other members that are available to meet. I've been working hard to earn enough activity points for a month of premium service to try before I spend money on it, but they keep refusing to add the points they promise. After my most recent complaint which included screenshots as proof of my point-earning activity, my IP address is now mysteriously unable to access any of their sites(as if blacklisted on the servers to make it difficult to redeem the points I've earned without being so obvious as deleting my account). I'm currently using the sites through a proxy in hopes of getting what I wanted before leaving for good, and I'm(probably foolishly) hoping that they fix the problems. I don't think I'll be paying for a membership if even their trial features are broken. As a web programmer, I'm tempted to compete with them by offering a working alternative that doesn't make users jump through hoops to earn points in order to do simple things like email.

Answer: YES! Tip For Uers: Do NOT get involved with any Member there until you do a Google and/or TinEye Reverse Image Search of their Profile picture. If no Profile picture is available, then request webcam verification from the Member
