You mean MT4 or MT5? Right now, there really isn’t a MetaTrader platform without a number attached to it. At least, that’s what I know, and XM only offers MT4 and MT5. When it comes to choosing between these two, it’s a bit hard not gonna lie. However, if you are a beginner, I would recommend you to go for the MT5 trading platform, since it’s an updated version of MT4 and has more features. That being said, the overall interface and feel are quite similar. It’s also interesting to mention that a lot of forex traders still prefer MT4, so if you are really into trading forex pairs, you might want to give MT4 a try. But in the end, I would still recommend going for MT5.

To be honest with you: I think neither. MT4 is already an old platform and people who are trading on it all their lives will continue to do so. Some people are not even switching to MT5 which is far quicker and better with many features, but those require some expertise in trading for you to get the best of them, using all the features and customization.

What i recommend is the own platform of xm, it's super nice, easy to use. RIght when you open an acc you will see it, and you can do anything you want, use all the services from the menu. Copy trading, analytics, you name it/ Its just much more effecitve for beginners to use it.

Still it's you choice, if you want, you can trade on MT as well., as long as you are happy ;)
