I used to prefer using MT5, but a couple of months ago I switched to their custom trading XM app. It was when the broker announced the upgrade and integrated their trading app into the dashboard, so one can trade and manage accounts and everything as soon as he logs into his profile. No installation is needed. Plus the app is powered by tradingview charts and this was the main trigger for me to make the switch. I used a free TW version, and you probably know that it comes with certain limitations in the number of indicators you can use at once, and how many charts you can save. At xm app, these limitations are eliminated, you get the full TW charting experience.

A few months ago, this question would be irrelevant, since the broker offered just metatrader, along with their custom app. Now the situation changed and they added a new platform. I switched immediately after seeing three things:
1)Tradingview charts. For sure it can’t replace the original charting and custom indicators, but built-in solution and charts, best charts imho, they were
2) Good order management. Again something subjective I found in their execution window. Trailing stop and overall better navigation that the one in mt terminal
3) Signals and analytics. Just a good add-on to the existing functionality. I treat it more as additional confluence before entering.
