New York and company is now an accepted brand.

They clearly state that they only accept high end brands. Obviously the dissatisfied customers who want them to take other items have never dealt with high end consignment shops that won't take brand new items with tags if tag is torn? Or anything less than 3 yrs old, I've even been to some that take JJ no tank tops or t-shirts. They can be extremely picky if they have enough customers

I wouldn't send anything to Thredup ever again. First bag they accepted gently used Old Navy, third and FINAL bag they didn't accept Old Navy items WITH tags attached!

Who know's? Don't work with this rip off company.

From my experience, and I have not dealt with ThredUP or any other online consignment shops, only local, where I drive my stuff to be sold, They can't really make any money on less than " upscale " items. Usually, they will charge the customer 1/3 of the original retail price of the item. Then, out of that third, come their expenses, their cut, then finally your cut. So an item that originally cost 30.00 is sold to the customer for 10.00, then you get maybe 3.00 or 4.00 if you are lucky. ( most consigners only get 40% of the selling price).

I have consigned items originally worth 1000. 00, and gotten maybe 150.00 or less back. Make any sense?

I think the resale value is lower on certain brands and styles. It's hard to say what they will accept, if you look on the site at the newest thigs thats what they are buying style wise.
