I've been reading reviews. As a new consign or I know better than to believe bad reviews are all a complete reflection of truth. My items were just priced and added to site. I have 2 questions. Is it true I only receive 48% of selling price? I assumed the 60% that therealreal site promised. Also curious about pricing on two items. The john hardy diamond ring seems priced low when I look at similar john hardy rings. Plus ring seldom worn. Also the Agnes b leather pants. Agnes b is a very high end boutique out of Paris. I bought these in the New York boutique for 1000. Maybe worn twice. Excellent leather and t I see them priced at 145? Just curious. Thank you.

20% off 60% is 48%!
If something is listed for $100 and you are originally due $60. You apply the 20% off and the list price is $80.60% of $80 is $48 and so is 48% of $100, so no matter how you slice it, IF the BUYER uses the 20%, YOU WILL ONLY GET 48%!

They take 40% commission rate. You get 60%. But, they usually mark down the item quite considerably so you may be happy with the first listing price, but not so much afterwards.

Hi Amanda,
As a new consignor you receive 60% of the amount that the item sells for. If you earn $7500 or more of consignment pay out with us, then your commission will be bumped up to 70% for the next year. Please note, the selling price is not always the listing price. For instance, if the item is purchased with a promoional code, you would still receive 60% of that sale, but the sale price will include the promotion.
Regarding the items that your wondering about - if your concerned about the pricing we're happy to review the items again with you and provide more information on how we came to that price. Please note, that until the items are live on the website with images and are able to be purchased, the pricing is still pending and not finalized. The items pass through many hands and eyes to ensure that we are as accurate as possible. That said, please reach out to our Consignor Relations Department and provide them with your email address or Consignor ID number and we will be happy to look at the pricing of the items.
