The phones can be either one but most of the time the phones are slightly used. If there is a picture that is always great because you can see for yourself what the phone looks like. Stay away from the refurbished phones with no picture description, for they are probably filled with scratches on the screen and housing.

Used, the seller describes the phone and you have to rely on what he says.

Neither of the phones I've purchase were refurbished. They were very slightly used, actually mint condition.
