Unfortunately, there's no real way to tell when hiding behind the anonymity of the internet. The can produce fake pictures, lie about themselves... heck, they may not even be the gender you think they are!:-) Unfortunately, it's a crapshoot and you take your chances. Only if and when you meet you'll know for sure. Unfortunately, the players, scammers and users ruin it for everybody... as in most situations in life.

All dating sites are a gamble, all you can do is ask the questions meet up and see if you get on, never give out money regardless if your a man or woman.
If it is a scam your soon find out, keep your friends updated and listen to them when they tell you something is wrong, as we all know love is blind.

Unfortunately there is no real way to tell a persons intentions on any dating site but I have found to my own detriment that most people on these sistes are time wasters and have no serious intent. Then there are the deliberate scam artist's but they usually follow set patterns all I can say s follow your instincts.

I agree with Dawn, that is hard to answer.
You can always go with the blunt approach, ask them what their intentions are. If they answer what you're looking for, then ask more questions. Ask until you figure out if he's worth it. Once you meet, you can figure out if he's in it for a hookup or not. Do NOT sleep with him on the 1st date. I don't know why some people do this, but if you're looking for a long term deal and not a hookup, you should have a casual meeting, getting to know eachother and questions galore. If you have things in common and the communication flows like a river, then it's an awesome start! If a guy leads talk with Sex, ex's or money, and keeps rotating back to the first 2, then there may be a giant red flag he's not the one for you. When I met my ex, we didn't sleep together for 3 weeks! We established common ground and had tons to talk about, we enjoyed really fun dates, and a great time. And when we were ready to take the "Next step" we were already in a committed relationship. Don't be afraid to let the guy know up front what you want and or are looking for. If he's not for you, then move on, don't ever settle! And obviously if he asks for money, a transfer or some other BS, he's a scammer. You can also google him or ask for a facebook or instagram once you start talking. I know some men don't believe in social media, but there are other ways to find out if he's real. Be safe and good luck!

That's hard to answer! Most of the men on there just want a booty call! And then there are scammers just go with your gut feelings!
