When I try to join Nextdoor I am asked to create my neighborhood but I cant include 50 homes without running into other neighborhoods. Can I join a nearby neighborhood?

I would stay away from nextdoor. It has caused many people, including myself, serious safety issues. It only takes one loose canon in the neighborhood knowing too much about you to get you into serious trouble. They encourage you to give out too much information to too many people who have close access to you and your home when you know nothing about those people to begin with. Our moderator is a nasty and scary gal. Although most of the moderators are problaby great people, phsycholoically messed up personalities are often drawn to being the person in control of such sites. That is the problem many people are having. Many of the moderators are using the forums as a means of controlling others and ends up abusing and scaring many of the members.

If it does not make sense for you and the 49 others to see yourselves as a neighborhood, and you can see yourselves in with another of the local neighborhood. I think if I were you, I'd create the small neighborhood, then you can request a border change. Nextdoor will send a border change poll to your Nearby Leads. Enjoy being Nextdoor!
